Mimikor Early Design Sketches (Patreon)

We started working on developing the Mimikor Dragon - this is a LT300 Patreon Exclusive Cosmetic Flightless Dragon. So it will have wings for gliding but cannot fly. It can mimic the sounds of other species. It is a scavenger so it is happy to eat your food but in a pinch, it can dig up it's own to satisfy a little hunger. These are early WIP sketches, we're trying to capture the look of the dragon, cute, cuddly, and very ornery. "Was that a Flame Stalker? We gotta get out of... oh, it's YOU! GET HIM!"

Hm, i would imagen body 2 with a mix of horns c2 and c4 from spread sheet one. Oh or maybe like face one or two with body four on spread sheet 2. or maybe all in one combo, i can it imagen looking good together. Who else thinks like me? XD

I like the sheet 2 wing 3-4 look, since it's not really able to fly, and the C fins. Fins or ears would give it loads of expression. That's just me though.

I like head D on the first sketch sheet, we don't have many dragons with ears so I'd love to see this guy get em! I also love the lil frog throat! I also like design 2 and 4 on sheet 2, either way looking awesome, keep up the good work!

I love the more gecko-based heads! And also the wing types that kinda fan out, which are different from traditional wings since gliding is the method of “flight” and would give the Mimikor a more unique silhouette!

I love the direction this is going! I like the little horns on the head (like C3 on sheet 1) and I love the little wings like body 1 and 2 on sheet 2 specifically. Love the overall gecko-shaped cute but also cool little dragon! Makes it look like one of those 'looks like a baby even as an adult', which makes perfect sense to me considering the small size, riding other dragons and overall goofiness of mimicking other dragons.

ohhhh my goodness I love this concept. I agree that the gecko-based designs are my favorite, and some wings that are different than the usual bat-like wings would indeed give it a unique silhouette. I also love the little ears and horns I think that’s adorable, and none of the other dragons have big floppy ears!

I really like the wing design #3 on sheet 2 I feel like a mixture between a flying squirrel and a gecko would be so cute. And I love the neck pouch idea.

Awesome gremlin energy already with all these concepts! Perfect mix of cute and "I am up to mischief" x'D The gliders on sheet 2 body 3 are eeepic!! Definity very distinct, and look perfect for gliding >D I also feel like, movement-wise, they could potentially completly fold up against the body so the little guy can be extra streamlined/sneaky when just walking around, but also FLARE out to show off 'intimidating' markings or patterns when cornered.

Can't wait for this little stinker. Now lets see here what we got for options. On page 1 I am leaning towards body type 1, Ear type E, with a head of C2 or C3 For page 2 I like Heads B and C and wing type 3 and 4.

For a gliding dragon sheet 2, #3 would seem to work well. For head I think C1. Great Concept!

On the second page 2 is definitely my favourite. Looks like he has a little neck flap, which is good for making noises.

I love sketch 2 on sheet 1. It would be so adorable to have a fluffy dragon <3. Sheet 2 reminds me of the terrible terror from HTTYD.

I like sketches 1 and 3 from sheet one (head style E), and 3 from sheet two (head styles B and C). I'm on the "big ears for big mimicking" bandwagon, but since there are many species of birds that mimic a variety of sounds with incredible accuracy without having huge ears, I won't cry too much if they don't happen. A furred dragon would be interesting, though I bow to whatever difficulty animating the strands would cause.

i feel like the wings should be more similar to number 1 on the first sheet, or even better number 3 on the second. my favorite design overall has got to be 3 on the second sheet

oh FINALLY i can flex on people also having it be able to suddenly leap very high into the air would be cool. like a quail, who use their short wings to ascend rlly fast, but cant fly far.

I actually prefer the design where it has several lobed spines on its back. reminds me of this one goofy extinct lizard species that glided the same way

I really like the designs on image 2, number 3 and 4 of the 'wings' design. It would make sense for a dragon that can't fly, but can glide, to have a different 'wing' structure than dragons that can fly. For the 'cuddlabe' idea, I would also like a more fluffy dragon, it would be very interesting and unique ☺️.

There's a Roadmap the team has. It will be in 1.3 update down the road. It's not even started on the Roadmap yet.

since mimikor will be flightless will it be able to climb trees? it needs a way to get into the air no? and a way to run from other players(the bio is fast so it can out fly others) will it run the fastest of all or can it burrow since its suggested that it digs?
