Roswell incident was more than likely US government conducting scouting surveillance for potential Russian nuclear activities. It was easier to sell it as “Aliens & UFO’s” not set the entire U.S. population into a panic. Easier to believe the fictional tale of aliens, than swallowing potential nuclear weapons from the Russians. Also other countries have tech we aren’t aware of. The same goes for the US government, these tiny crafts are more than likely new drones these counties have developed. The U.S. has the same sort of reports, and the pilots who saw them more than likely didn’t have the clearance to know what it was. Which is why we get the explanations we get.

Everybody saying Kippy ruined the ep by being a dick as if it wouldve been any better if hed played along the whole time. Obviously he was obnoxious and the episode sucked, but Foley isnt even capable of comprehending why the evidence he brought to the table is shitty and boring. The “big numbers i dont understand mean universe big”, “tictac videos”, and “military officials testimonies” points were half convincing when you heard them after getting stoned with your boys at 16 years old. Growing up is realizing that human memory is completely unreliable as any form of evidence and its infinitely more likely that all the alien bullshit is government propaganda to keep a lid on their most advanced and secretive technology, while also puffing your chest out to foreign powers that might be dumb enough to think youre working with aliens.

Man Kippy is taking a beating here, but I genuinely think he's just playing a role. He has to be Laurel to Foleys Hardy. That's why this whole thing works as well as it does. Is Hank a comedic genius who makes us all laugh our asses off? Of course. Could he do any of this stuff work without a straight man to keep him in line and do all the admin? No he could not. And Kevin does all of that while trying to also keep this crazy, funny, drug addict, that we all love from killing himself and tanking both of there careers at once. I love these guys both for who they are and the roles they play on the whole. They both miss the mark once in a while, but without each other, the whole ship sinks. And for the record, anyone who thinks Ian Fidance would make a good replacement for either Kevin or Henry is clearly huffing paint fumes. Long live the army of garbage, I love being a part of it.
