The weights were for her, bit he made up some story about how they were for them both. He can't ghost her, because she knows where he's going. He was mad about the money because he didn't plan on dying, and she definitely blew him in the car, on the way over. Kippy, it isn't hard to come up with reasons. Heck, the weights might have been because he killed her, and THEN threw her off the bridge!
