Not really an overreaction. Foley always tries to pull off this persona of being someone he is not while at the same time insinuating Kippy is a shlub. Also always saying what “he would do” in situations when he absolutely would not do what he is saying lol, and Kippy knows it. I’m honestly surprised Kippy doesn’t call him out on this more. Also Foley can be a terrible “yes and” guy which u can imagine is super frustrating for the other half of a comedy duo lol.

Why didn't he use his own card from his personal account if the Patreon alone makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year (and it does)? I also think it's less about the 20g's, or the 50g's combined this past summer, and more about being a reliable business partner, but who really knows?

I say this having no idea how their business is structured but based on the bonus comment they get a salary that Foley is obviously living beyond. All the money the business generates sits in business accounts. It's not available unless you take a distribution (what they did in the summer it sounds like) OR you use the company credit card. I'm sure his personal cards did not work. Anyway of course it's not the right thing to do. I didn't say he should be exonerated. But the scorpion and the frog comes to mind. You can have a business credit card account with multiple users, and you can set limits on the different users cards. They didn't need to just pull his card they could have just limited it... Of of course that doesn't make for the best content.

Kippy, i understand your frustrations but you should reconsider your stance. Bugman bad, but bugman needs support and hes basically begging you as his family to care about his sobriety agreement. Sometimes the more people involved he loves and respects the better it is for his accountability. Him being kicked off being a signatory of something he was the other half in creating and is continuing to run has got to feel pretty rough for him. Throw a bug a bone.

There are stipulations and limitations on business accounts, mainly due to tax fraud laws. You can't use business accounts on personal purchases because you write off most expenditures on said accounts. There's plenty more to it but it just muddys the waters and I'm sure is a major pain in the ass to pull all the personal purchases from the year to claim separately from business purchases. Their B.M is probably not thrilled about it either.
