Hey all! First off, no need to panic- the changes are minimal. Most of you won't be affected and still reap the same benefits as usual on whatever tier you sit on. The main reason for a little housekeeping around here is due to, well...

As you can see, the commission line has grown out of control. For several years now, I've been metaphorically shoveling snow during a blizzard- I finish a commission, and a few more get in line. Not that this was a bad thing! Believe me, commissions are one of the great joys I always love to partake in as an artist online and I am extremely grateful that so many of you trust me with your ideas and desires. But I do need to close the line for now for my sanity and so future comics and stories have a chance to be worked on.

Let me be clear: I am not closing commissions forever! I just need this intense line to get under control and grind my way through it. It's overwhelming and stressful with the state that it's currently in. I cannot keep up with the way that the line grows indefinitely. Once I can whittle it down, I plan to take commissions in smaller chunks at a time and I will be sure to announce it so you don't miss it when I schedule an opening.

For those in the $5 tier who have specifically been waiting to get in line as part of your Patreon benefits, you have until September 1st, 2024 to message me and get added to the queue. Then, the line is officially closed and detached from any Patreon reward.

I really appreciate you sticking around and understanding. I wouldn't be able to keep making comics without you ❤️ If you have any questions, please feel free to comment below or send me a message and I will get back to you ASAP!

You can review the tiers on the Membership section of my page, but here's a copy of each one for quick viewing. The payment structure remains that I only get paid per completed comic page to ensure that you only support what I earn fair and square!

I’m in the 5$ dollar teir also completely understand you need a break your doing a lot great work each month keep it up :)

Amber

So, clarifying question: if we are already in the commission line, we aren’t going to taken off that list?

Jackaloo

I'm still happy to add you (and this goes for everyone else in the $5 tier) to the line before I close it to make good on the tier's original promise! Just let me know in the DMs :3 Thank you so much for everything <3

Tales98

No worries; knowing your own limits is important!

Jackaloo

If you are already in the line, your name is secure! I will still be going through the line as it stands, I'm just not taking any NEW names to the list after the last-call window I provided to anyone not in the line yet from the $5 tier ^^

Amber

Ok cool, thanks for the clarification

Damie♥

I've been worried about you while seeing that queue for ages! I'm glad you're doing what's best for your mental health. I know the mountain visibly sitting there makes it all the more daunting. Looking forward to when my slot does eventually come around, and to all the other work you're doing.

Tyler Furlong

Hey, take the time you need to catch up at all. I do have a question about the commission queue. How do you get into it if you’re not part of the five dollar tier?

Jackaloo

The original reward was totally manageable from humble beginnings. It just accelerated over the years and before I knew it, the mountain you see before you xD I never wanna stop, I just to take less scary bites at a time haha thank you Damie <3

Hurricane

I'm also at the $5 level. I'll be happy to continue supporting you.

Jackaloo

The commission line was originally a reward for the $5 tier only. I was not accepting folks from other tiers or the public on this particular line. Once I can make my way through this one though, I intend to open up commission slots to anyone! They'll just be in smaller batches and I am still deciding how I wanna approach that when the time comes to make it fair.

Jackaloo

Thank you! That's incredibly generous of you and you make a genuine difference in keeping me fed and housed <3

Canyon

My name was on there, I don’t see it anymore. 😢 On the flip side, I completely understand why you’re doing what you’re doing.

Red Laurent

You work super hard, absolutely get the need to let yourself catch up and breathe! You need your schedule to be sustainable for your own health.

Red Laurent

Gah.. hit enter by mistake LOL. I believe I'm already on the queue. If not, and if you are comfortable adding me please do. But if it's going to add another stressor, please don't!

Jackaloo

I'll shoot you a message to resolve that! Sometimes folks change their names on Patreon and things get confusing, or it doesn't translate over from my private spreadsheet with everyone's contact info. We'll figure it out!

Tyler Furlong

Oh, Ok! Best of luck on the queue! I look forward to hoping to commission you when you open next time!

Artufex

Wait, you'll do art critiques too? I didn't realize that! Do we just send a DM requesting it?

Jackaloo

A new feature! Yes, just shoot me a DM and we'll go from there :3 I had been asked a handful of times to add that as a feature, so I thought it might be a fun addition to the $5 tier.

Twitch85

I think I been a 5 tier since 2018

Jackaloo

That is… incredible. Please do let me know if you want to be added to the line! Otherwise thank you majorly for your support over the years 😭❤️ I hope you keep enjoying as more comic pages and art come out!

Twitch85

Please add me to the line

Twitch85

I'll like to keep supporting. Wondering if I can be added to the line

GreenDreamer

Oooh, Jeee-ZUS, that’s so many people! 😳 Honestly, I’m surprised that you didn’t pause this much sooner! Yeah, that definitely needed to stop; it’s piled on waaaay too high.
