I like all the details and nuance in these characters. His dad really does continue to haunt him in ways he didn't expect. Not to mention anxious, intrusive thoughts and self doubt I also struggle with, even after I've made progress. I feel for Coop, I just hope he chooses to stop running.

Pretty sure its the fact that he did not tell Andy he's doing a mature-rated stripping routine with River, who Andy has now admitted he's jealous of, at his new job. Actually, Cooper has not told Andy what his job is whatsoever. Last time Andy tried to ask him about it, Cooper kissed him to distract him. Based on his comments when they fooled around at his birthday, it seems Cooper DOES want to go all the way with Andy, but didn't want to in that moment because he clearly saw Andy acting out as a jealous fashion instead of a real passionate moment. I'm pretty sympathetic to the closeted guy who is trying to be publicly out, but Cooper is really screwing things up every step of the way.

Going to say something positive, and say I love how Cooper looks. His details are perfect. To the coppers comment. I feel for him, and I think most think like that or saud that to our selves at least once. I'm interested to see where this goes.

This gives me the feels. I have problems with the whole self loathing/doubt thing. The mirror is the usual place to talk to oneself about what a failure/loser you are. Even when nothing in your life shows those things to be true.

Yeah idk why River is being thrown under the bus here. River is a material key player in Coop’s character development. Cooper has come a long way imo and i can’t imagine it happening without River. How old are the characters anyways? 23-25? Sounds like the perfect age to be working at the Rail and finding oneself. I think this page is showing a macro reflection of the micro situation. It’s a good thing. Cooper has reached the point where he’s able to analyze himself and life. Seeing the bigger picture and starting to accept himself. Coop’s character development is once of my favorite parts.

spot on here man. I agree its probably the job combined with what he said was 1/2 true he does have feelings he wants to, and he knows how hes doing it is a bit stupid cause hes denying himself and Andy. I know he wants to be independent but when your in a relationship you need to lower your guard which he still has major problems with.

Because River's character has been nothing but drama inducing in their relationship? And now at this point Cooper knows for a fact that Andy is jealous of them (Which is Andy's problem, yes) but Cooper is now just deliberately withholding the information that he clearly should have just told Andy about since at this point, with Cooper's wish to actually date, I think Andy wouldn't have a big deal with. Until he finds out about it because Cooper didn't directly tell them. I like River as a concept but their role up until this moment has just been to introduce conflict. I also like how River just gets credited with all of Cooper's transformation and Andy and Chelsea just don't count lol
