Yolanda is wearing her travelling attire. Simple artwork, but it works well with the next few chapters being about her!

Well, travel clothes should be simple, easy to clean and lacking frills that get stick everywhere. Fancy ideas are for outfits that are meant for public events like tournaments or maybe Ace-battles

So... she starts with a Larvitar, Growlithe, Sneasel, and Pidgey... I've got to be honest, I have no idea what her speciality could be. I assumed she needed one for efficient Aura growth.

I can't wait to hear from her more. I really like these family interactions. Thank you for this.

What is that mega stone in her hat. Is she getting a mega!!

Arguably, starting from a Generalist Aura Foundation may give her the broadest variety of Aura enhancement and also may allow for the "easiest" transition into Aura related power ups such as Mega Evolutions and (probably) Z Moves. Specialization has its strengths obviously, but if we attribute Ash's canonical anime bullshit to "unflavored" Aura enhancement/mastery, then there's *quite* a ways that one can go without it.

Interesting hat Yolanda’s got there Viva

I was under the impression that it was pretty difficult to develop enough Aura to actually do something with, was pretty difficult if you aren't 'a chosen one' like Ash or Oak. And that - at least in this particular fanfic universe - having many Pokémon of the same type would help immensely in getting a feel for and 'grow' your own Aura, since Aura and 'Type Energy' are strongly connected with each other here. (as they tend to be in many fanfics...) Thinking about it, Brock would probably have mainly dark aura if he weren't a Rock Type specialist. Considering his reflexive emotionally triggered Aura use is usually Dark.

Ya could make her clothes standout a little

So she already has two potential dark types out of four Pokémon. If the next two are also dark types then that is similar to the 2/3 ratio that Brock had with his original team of rock types. 2/3.

There's evidence that there are meditations and exercises that one can do, especially with a strong bond with one or more pokemon, that can allow anyone sufficiently dedicated to develop Aura (see: The Crusher Tribe), and Brock has had Yolanda doing the exercises that he's aware of for some time now. Part of that is meditating with your Pokemon, and Yolanda has a variety of different egg groups and Types as her partners so as speculation I can see her finding a common ground of "neutral" Aura between the different Type energy directions that are available to her, but that *is* speculation so I can't really back that up beyond "The Vibes Feel Right To Me."
