I was trying to guess what the animators based the Roth SL Coupe on and then it dawned on me...

Yeah, sorry...it's the VW New Beetle.  Urgh...dear gawd...deliver me from retro-styling hell.

So are the girls going to drive around flashing truckers now or maybe drive around naked

Ehh, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with this one just yet. Thought about the driving about nude thing, but unless they're doing some kinda spring break thing all you'd see is the tops of their boobs......and what's the fun in that? :P

Since I'm retired now I thought I'd help out the US Census Bureau this year and I saw 2 of those newer version VW Beatles yesterday, as well as an original version, the 1st was collecting dust in somebody's backyard then 2 blocks later 1 went driving by. Funny thing is I had completely forgotten that they had the mocking spoiler on the back of some of them. Both of the ones I saw did have the spoiler, I thought that was so funny until I remembered that I once had an original VW up to 110 mph with 4 people in it no less. For a 1600cc engine they had surprising get up n go. Although I still think I like the motorbike better, more body contact while holding on, but on the other hand you can't get naked in the back seat of a motorbike. Oh well, pros n cons.

My parents were (are) hippies...up until 1980 or so I don't recall riding around in anything other than a VW bus (with vw logo on the front replaced with a peace symbol). My grandmother had a super beetle around '78 or so...I only remember that because it caught on fire while driving down the highway. As for retro-styling, I can't really say anything...my daily is a Mini Cooper.

Well rain isn't that bad I guess, after all it's the wind that causes most the damage inland. We had a rain storm blow thru her Friday night, the rain came and went pretty quick but the straight line winds caused a lot of damage, it knocked over trees and even cleared a trailer park and building. It wasn't a hurricane or tornado but the wind speed was the same. Anyway, glad everything is going okay so far. BTW what brand of washer was that that you had with the dime size vent holes? We just bought us a new one and wifey opted for a front loader this time around, since the top load was like 20 yrs old she wanted to upgrade to something nice for her for the next 20 yrs (if it lasts that long) since M-i-Law picked out the old one back then. Anyway stay safe n I'll type at ya later.

Maytag...but it was a top loader. I've never heard of front loaders having problems like that.
