**Update 2**

Elvis has left the building.  :D

**Update**  Yesterday's trip to my doctor's office lead to a referral straight to the emergency room.  What was previously (mis)diagnosed as abdominal infection turned out to be....drum roll, please....  A kidney stone.

The two previous one's I've had, though significantly larger (and far more painful), took less than 24 hours to pass.  This one, however, tiny by comparison, must have some sort of Napoleon complex....this being day seven of it's little stay-cation.  Back in 2019 when was in the ER for number two, the ultrasound technician spotted the little guy, but there was nothing they could do about it.

Thankfully it's almost out (if not already), having been spotted in the last half inch or so of my ureter...that would be the little tubes that lead from the kidney to the bladder.  I did make a point of asking if they could look at the opposite kidney to see if there were any other stowaways.  Fortunately, they weren't able to find any.

But still...yeah.  That's a solid week of not being able to work...both here and at the real job.  Joy.

...and yes, after seven days of this shit, I will be looking for a new doctor.

Apologies for the lack of any real activity this past week, other than a few rando retweets on twitter.  I’ve been at home, pretty much flat on my back the entire time, with an abdominal infection. Up until today sitting in front of my computer for more than a few minutes has been absolutely excruciating.  The most I could manage today was an hour...and then went straight to the pain killers.  I haven’t been able to get any coloring or editing done and haven’t been able to concentrate long enough to do any storytelling either.  I’m on the mend, but…yeah.  Just need more time and lots more antibiotics.

I've got a few pieces scheduled, but...yeah...you know the deal.

No worries on our end, you do what you must to get well soon but don't rush it, these things take time and we ain't going anywhere. After this though you may friend need to start drinking more water and cranberry juice. I had a similar problem when I switched jobs one year and didn't realize that my new job didn't have a water fountain in the warehouse and I had only been drinking about a third of the amount I was used to drinking, that kidney stone did the same to me put me in the hospital for 2 days and laid up for a week and a half. So rest and recuperate and draw when your healed, we'll be here. Good luck.

Eight and a half days and....FINALLY! Actually, this is my third one... I had one on the opposite side in 2018. That one however, was be far the largest...like 6mm....whereas this one was 2.5 or 3mm and oddly shaped. Never saw the end result...it broke up when it hit the bladder and what come out was no bigger than grains of sand. They gave me morphine for the '18 one and....yeah, they might as well have been injecting me with water. Yeah, I'm all about the water....there is no substitute for it.
