This Illusion (Patreon)

Short one for now (with more plot than "plot" this time and no literal suiting), setting up a longer story that will be the main event for September (And the usual Suitober stuff taking up October; see discord #suggestion-box for more info on that).

That said, there ended up being a lot of world building details that are necessary to connect things, but aren't actually that relevant to the overall plot, so if you're trying to read between the lines with this one, just realize there may be a non-negligible amount of accidental red herrings. I've been sitting on a bunch of things I've wanted to do with a darker story for a bit and it may be a bit over-ambitious of me to try to stuff them in this (and the main story next month), but we'll see how it goes.

Anyway, I've already said more than usual about a story that's probably better experienced with less is said, so I'm gonna shut up now.
