OSW Update! (13 June) (Patreon)

HELLOOOOOO! Here's what's going on in the land of choccie bars, ice cream and tayto crisps!

What's craicin' this week, you ask? Editing the audio of Lockdown! Little known fact, but audio editing is the most important part of the episode - I trim out roughly 50% of the show! Distilling it down to the absolute best parts, as tight as I can make it, whilst still having it 'make sense', if that makes sense! Lockdown took 4 hours to record (it was so much fun!) but that's ridiculous for a video episode. Most of what's cut out is going off-topic or doing re-takes of lines (unless I mess up real bad, then it's probably left in) and the best stuff will make it into a deleted scenes vid afterwards :D Here's the stages of audio editing:

- Fine tune separate channels (i.e. muting non-OOC talk on OOC's channel), mix audio and edit into segments

- 1st Pass - 1st Half

- 1st Pass - 2nd Half

- 2nd Pass

- 3rd Pass

- +/- 4th Pass

I'm also juggling 6 different bits for future OSW episodes; brand new (Hard Justice onwards-) billboard intro artwork + animation, new music, comic book artwork, new outro pixelart and background animation! Hopefully they'll be done by the time I'm finished editing the main show!

I've moved in to my new apartment! Apart from about 3 years total I've never lived alone so it takes getting used to. Shopping is a lot cheaper! Had a milestone getting the internet on Wednesday and computer + desk on Friday, V1 helped me move :) He's been ordering stuff for his new editing/gaming rig and it's starting to come in! 

When it's all arrived we'll put it together and I'll teach him how to edit & create new videos! I'm so stoked to have him able to help me with OSW (so episodes can come out more often/predictably) and in general get more involved with you guys! I've so many cool ideas and this is how I can make time to do them too. There's a fantastic Top 10 I just thought of stemming from Lockdown that'll have to be put in Hard Justice! It'll actually fit in with the new billboard animation real well! 

A side note but Mario Odyssey looks AMAZING and I'll have to pick up a switch come October. It looks magic!

p.s. It was my birthday last week - thank you so much for making the last 365 days the best I've had in like 15 years. It was dire doing medicine, and thanks to you, I can work on what I love and not in a hospital! So excited for the coming year- it's gonna be emotionallllllll!
