OSW Update! (19 July) (Patreon)

Hubba hubba! Hey brahs and bras!

It's YOUR BOY back with what's been going on in Groovestown:

Last week I spent a couple days creating and finalising the script for Hard Justice, and recorded! Went great! About a 3.5 hour recording session. On Friday we travelled up North to Armagh to collect V1's new desk! The ones in Ireland are kinda shitty and international ones don't ship, so we were able to get one sent from Wales to NI (as it's part of the UK) to a fan, SHOUTOUT @DarthCitharae!, and drive up and get it!

Us and Rhys. Smashing bloke! And here it is put together. Pictures don't do the Walnut Warrior justice:

Yes it's the same one as me and our brah David Rawlinson (!) but in a different colour. L-shaped is where's it's at!

Sunday I recorded an interview on social media for Irish Academy in Dublin City FM (where I do Super OSW 64), but that won't be out until October 10, on "Mediascope", a business/PR talk show. Somehow answering a Q about Facebook and Twitter turned into giving out about Hulk Hogan in World War 3! ha ha.

Back in Steve's on Monday we were there all day putting his new rig together! Failed to get Win7 loaded (something about USB 3.0 drivers) so I'll be back at his next week to pick it back up. Then I'll be teaching him how I edit and starting him off on some smaller projects before working on OSW episodes. He's also super keen to work on his own videogame content that I'm really looking forward to!

Jay cares not for cable management!

NoggerU Film Reviews: So I'm spending the rest of the week audio editing ALIENS (1986)! It takes about 3 days to get perfect. I figure I'll have the audio finished by the end of the week, then Chris can work on the video portion, while I work on Hard Justice! I'm really happy you guys enjoyed our Alien review, I think this one went even better so that'll be coming in a few weeks. This way I don't start editing from scratch when Hard Justice is done!

Next OSW episode: Next week is all Hard Justice, and continuing until it's done. It puts the release around mid-August (sorry!) roughly around Sunday the 13th. We mark out so hard to Black Reign's debut, it's a fantastic segment :P

Super OSW 64 Level 13: I'm hoping to get confirmation for a 2-hour slot for Monday August 7th bank holiday! Will let you know when that's a goer. You guys have fantastic taste in music! I've got almost enough for a new show already. You can request tracks in the comments section here or here!

New PC: I also got some new PC gear from SCAN but I'll return the processor/MOBO to get a newer one. With the graphics card I've got the best part of a new rig so I'll pick up more bits and bobs and we'll be in business!

Upcoming Artwork/Music: I'm just waiting on a minor change to the Lockdown comic-book artwork and I'll post that out, and the Hard Justice one is almost ready to go! I also have new custom music and animation for Hard Justice, and new Final Fantasy music/intro for Bound For Glory, done by a composer from the BBC! You're gonna flip! (I hope!)

Rewards: Earlier in the month we got 62 bars out and next month myself and V1 will spend a few days getting the final 120 bars out! After that, we'll be getting the NoggerU cards out. It's not something we can really automate, it's literally just me (and now Steve) packing envelopes ourselves :)

I think that's everything! So to sum up, this week I'm editing ALIENS audio, HARD JUSTICE will be out in the next few weeks, August 7th should be the next SUPER OSW 64! After HJ (lol, HJ) is out we'll get some bars out the door, Aliens NU review, I'm hoping to do a fun cameo on a podcast, and then we'll do SummerSlam 2017.

See you in the funny pages!

Jay
