Some production notes on Hard Justice:

 •  Hope you enjoyed the OSW Land intro! It's been cooking since we got back from our WM trip -- being in Orlando Studios (I've never been to a proper theme park before) made me wish we had an OSW version! So that was my mad fever dream :) It was the sweet fruit of the work of multiple people -- Danny Williams did the drawing, Kenny & Harley Wootton did the carnival theme, and Gordon Price did the animation!

• There were multiple retrospectives in the episode -- VKM, Dustin Rhodes, Pacman, Test and the IGF title snafu, as well as the regular pre-match builds, resulting in 300+ bits of splicey-splicey!

 • The audio might sound a little better? It actually took a week to get right! Hopefully you didn't notice, but OOC had a cold during recording, so I went through his, my and V1's audio to delete his sniffles, as well as many table-bangs, coughs etc (that was a living nightmare!!) Also, our boy @JoshDArmour recommended Auphonic, an online multitrack processor where you can upload your separate microphone recordings and it'll combine them, removing audio bleed (which is when a mic pics up someone else's voice), so hopefully V1 and OOC sounded better at least! You get 2 hours free per month on the site. Previously I've been using the awesome and free program The Levelator which is also incredi-balls but doesn't eliminate bleed, it just gives everything a raised, smooth, consistent volume. (it only works with .wavs and chews up music, but fantastic for podcasts!)

• I intended to have OOC reading a bit of "Of Mice and Men" at the start, but the segment got way too long, so I just released the audio here separately! https://www.patreon.com/posts/13530229

• Reading through the FB, Twitter and YouTube comments, it's hilarious to see the response to Adam from What Culture's ABQ. I think it's the funniest guest-ABQ we've had! I met him in Orlando randomly in a bar (but what bar!) chatted to him, and he came over to the lads, he's so lovely. I was pretty hammered at the time and some girl was asking about my Irish accent but I was still marking out shouting "DO YOU KNOW WHO THIS GUY IS?!" :P

I love this expression on V1 :P

• V1 news! We FINALLY (by we I mean he - V1 got a new modem which fixed the internet cutting out problem) got his new PC working, and he started recording footage of Zelda BOTW for a future review! The aim down the line is to have V1 working half the month with me on OSW, and half the month on his own new videos, so it's all very much a work-in-progress. As soon as we got it sorted, he started streaming lol, you can find him at https://www.twitch.tv/OSWreview -- he's using THE YETAYYYYYYYY at the moment so I don't have a way to chime in, but I'm in the chatroom when I can. I should note when he quit his job in June, we're literally starting from scratch - he moved out of Dublin to a house with an office, we had to source, buy and build a PC, get it working, and he'll learn streaming and audio/video editing. Teaching him i'll have to take a few days off, and I didn't want to delay Hard Justice any longer - I figured I could just drill it myself. Also happy I took a couple days out to edit Aliens so you guys weren't waiting too long without new video content! Just FYI, V1 isn't an editor - the last 64 episodes, aside from the guys' voices, I edit everything else. So we're building a factory here! My dream is for him to become the 'Jay' of videogames. We'll see! It's all tremendously exciting.

• Chris news! I dunno if it comes across but I'm v protective of OSW videos, but since production time is spiralling out of control, I'm coming around to the idea of getting another editor. I've been friends with Chris (from Reload Last Save) for the last few years and he's been doing awesome little bits here and there for OSW, like the Shinobi intro for Samurai Cop! He edited the Golden Noggers and I was blown away by the quality of it - and he also did the first pass of the video portion of Alien & Aliens! It still means I finalise the audio, and go through every second of video to make a 2nd & 3rd pass, but it means I'm not starting video editing from 0%, but like 40%. It gives me such a boost! I didn't want Hard Justice to be released at the end of the month, so I asked Chris to edit the match-portions of the episode! It meant I could start work on the splicey retrospectives straight away :D

I didn't sleep properly last week getting HJ out but I'm so happy to get it finished! Like Fri & Sat night I got maybe 3 hours each. Taking a breath this week has been great, I still haven't even seen NXT, SummerSlam, SouthPaw, GoT or Rick & Morty yet! Lol, V1 came over right after we published the episode as we recorded a review for another wrestling podcast to be released down the line (they record way ahead of time). I couldn't find my audio splitter so myself and V1 had a candlelight recording session sharing headphones and sitting closely talking into the Yetay! It went real well, will pimp it as soon as it's out :) When V1 left my gaf on Sunday, he said 'I thought to myself, I love my job' and it made me so happy :)

Anyway, that's enough blathering out of me! I need a few days to recuperate, and modern WWE kinda needs to be done quickly, so there probably won't be a SummerSlam 2017 vid. I'll give my thoughts when I've seen it, so we'll start work on the next NU film reviews and Bound For Glory!
