We did it! Patreon's cancelling their colossal dick move! (Patreon)

Super happy to report that Patreon’s cancelling their new awful changes! It’s classy of them to come clean and admit fault (specifically not listening to creators, screwing over lower pledge-creators and coming between them and their fans). It’s like they keyed thousands of cars, and then after a few days of being the town pariah, buffed out everyone’s doors :P 

It’s worth noting that the problems they were attempting to fix (more frequent transactions to get creators paid quicker, and a bigger percentage) they still want fixed, but they’re pledging to do things up front. They listened to a boardroom of Venture Capitalists instead of those who literally keep their lights on - the fans and creators. IMO, as long as we’re in the loop, it’s fair, and in everyone’s best interests, we’re cool. 

I hope you guys know how much you mean to me. Literally because of you, I walk a bit more upright, and I'm more confident as a person. I feel like I make a positive difference, however small, upon the world! Thank you for having my back!

Phew, we can douse the flaming pitchforks now 😂😂 Back to business as usual! They do have a feedback form if you want to use it. I think I'm good though.
