OSW Update! (Sept 2021) (Patreon)

Well hellooooooooo! And welcome to this month's update! Ah man, it's lovely to hear all the positive feedback to the Warrior Nitro episode, really happy how it turned out. Here's a quickie recap what's been going down in Groovestown:

Latest OSW Film Review (NU): Mortal Kombat 1995!Latest episode: OSW101 Warrior Nitro20+ mins of Deleted Scenes from OSW101 (NU)

And here's what's coming up on the horizon!

Videos in Production:• OSW102 WCW Fall Brawl• OSW103 Nitro after Fall Brawl• Mortal Kombat Annihilation• Resident Evil 8 Village• Artwork/Animation for future videos

Fall Brawl '98 - War Games! It's a bumper episode, tons of fun bits; really happy we did a 'primer' episode of Nitro to introduce all the storylines and set the scene, so we can really get stuck into this PPV. It's cool we get to gush over Konnan; Raven & Saturn showcase (Blue Oyster song not withstanding), & all the Warrior bollix before the big Hollywood vs Wolfpac vs WCW War Games match! It'll be about 100 minutes and hopefully finished towards the end of next week (then off to YT for approval!)

Nitro after Fall Brawl - combined with a new tattoo review this vid'll be about half an hour long, so much better suited as a stand-alone video! It means I don't have to edit it down to keep up the pace so much. And will be a nice follow up to Fall Brawl :)

Mortal Kombat Annihilation - the infamously horrendous follow-up to the charming cheesy 1995 classic. The review is also around an hour and features a post-movie section bringing us up to the end of the 'Kasanoff Era' of MK. We purposely don't delve much into the 2021 MK as i'd love to cover that separately :)

Resi Village - Bit of BTS ska! I loved this game, so many bits to mark out about, but there's a HUGE caveat that hurt my enjoyment - the field of vision is so low, it's zoomed in really close. I guess it's to make things scary by reducing your peripheral vision, but it gave me motion sickness pretty quickly. So V1's replaying through the ENTIRE game to capture footage with an FOV fix! Zooming out 20% makes such a difference. This one i'll be editing off and on whilst doing other videos; the completed vid won't be out until all the DLC has dropped (i think there's some coming next month fingers crossed!) and it gives me time to get artwork made and animated. I adore the lore of Lady Dimitrescu and I have a big schpiel about it; the whole thing is roughly the same length as TLOU2's Deep Dive (~1h45) which is absolutely worth a watch if you haven't seen it yet!

Artwork/Animation for future videosOn a side note, I was looking at the channel the other day and noticed, holy crap the WWF title history video did really well! I'd hoped for 40k, but it's at 130,000 now 🤯 Thank u so much! If u haven't seen it yet, the WCW video is on WWW's channel and is excellent! The animation takes about FOUR DAYS to render (by itself!) so we had to try fit the voice over info around the footage, if that makes sense! Check out the History of the WCW title here! Brian did a whopper job squeezing it all in.

Since artwork and especially animation takes a lot of time; I need to give artists as much time as possible; so myself and Fraser are already working on the next action figure animation for a OSW106, Halloween Havoc '98! Wanna see a sneak peek?

Myself & Fraser are working on a bit on the history of the WCW title, bringing us up to Goldberg's match vs DDP!

In addition to working with Ciaran, Chris & Jeff getting MK:A to be it's best, Ruben & Donald on Fall Brawl's intro, Andy on VFX, I'm also working with Paul (@HoraceDev) on pixel art animation for The Hobbit 2 (which we won't even be recording til next year!); i accidentally posted an unfinished version to youtube, which you can see here! I generally keep this stuff close to the chest so when ready, you get the full impact of it. I guess i'm still trying to impress u!

So TL/DR (in order of future release):🤼‍♂️ Fall Brawl is in it's second video pass editing, I hope to finish that sometime next week, so it can be sent for YouTube/WWE's approval!🤼‍♂️ Nitro After Fall Brawl I'd hope is released about a week later🐉 Mortal Kombat Annihilation is ~1hr long and shaping up great!🦇 After those are out we'll work on OSW104 Firepower (Ultimate Warrior's only film), then OSW105 Warrior & Sting nitro; then OSW106 Halloween Havoc 98!

Alrighty, back to editing Fall brawl! See ya in the funny pages :)
