Yo dudes!

I need your input! After a few months of seeing how Patreon works and patron'ing other creators, I think I'd like to switch the billing method from per big vid to per month, as it'd make it way easier for me to manage. It does away with paid posts (eg charging for Superbrawl), and would mean you know exactly how much & when you donate (once a month) -- avoiding the scenario of you getting stung twice a month (if two episodes happen to come out the same month) which I'm not a fan of!

There's no change to my production schedule - I'll still kick ass and work harder than ever to release a big new video roughly every 5 weeks, I just wanted to ask you guys first and be up front with what I'm thinking :) Do you have any thoughts on this? I'd love some feedback and know how you guys feel.

On a side note, it might sound corny but through Nogger U, you guys have enabled me to do my dream job! I've never been so motivated to absolutely slay the editing and bring out as much OSW goodness as possible!

Lemme know!

keep it monthly.... Monthly works for me :) also Jay, you should be sorry...SORRY YOU DIDN'T DO IT EARLIER

Ben Mazzara

I think monthly is just better for all. You don't want the frustration of sending out a new charge for every new video and prevents any potential salt from patrons.

MaggleHeel

I thought it was monthly already. Yall need as much cash as you can get. The quality of your product is already remarkable, AAA stuff boys. If charging monthly means more stability for you then I am all for it. You are already doing work that normally requires a team of producers and editors to reach and maintain this AAA level of quality. I always have to remind myself of the work required to do the type of documentary style review you do with every episode. Viewing the PPV, noting time-stamps of relevant moments, writing the commentary, recording the commentary, editing the commentary, matching the comments with the appropriate time-stamp, getting any B-roll or footage needed to splice in for the splicy splice moments...ect. I could go on but just thinking about it is intimidating even for a somewhat experienced technician like myself. POINT IS, do whatever you feel will give you more stability in your production schedule, and will help you utilize the funds most efficiently. Just remember, a winner is you! Brah! Ya fuucc'n animals!

Monthly sounds better to me almost always with patreon. You guys are one of the only people I've ever considered paying non-monthly for simply because of your high quality and consistent work. but I'd still prefer monthly for the reasons you mentioned in your own post.

Daniel M Fischer

Monthly payment is fine with me. It's good to know when the money's coming out.

Carolyn N

Monthly! Thanks for asking!

Billy Beck

Sounds like monthly is a win-win for everyone.

Ross Vincent

Orbs of Coke? Anyway, yeah monthly billing sounds good - easier for everyone.

Matthew Burke

My vote definitely goes for once a month. Much easier to remember and seems like it would be easier for you as well!

Marijn

That'd be fine. One way or another you're getting those fookin' 5$.

Gary Oliver

but how often realistically will you release big vids in the same month? Also this sounds like the WWE network plan and look at what its done to Vince!

Arnel De Leon

My vote goes to Per big video...Per month doesn't guarantee a big video. I've seen too many patreons do a per month thing, and it results with them prolonging content and maximizing profit through laziness:( sorry but I don't want to see you guys end up like the other Patreons I've supported:(

Matthew Cundy

I like my bills like I like my sex. Monthly and for $5.

Drew Hill

Happy with once a month, whatever happens is fine by me, i'm still re-paying the last few years of awesome videos.

Phil Bligh

You guys give me a few hours of joy every so often and I'm happy to pay per month for that, but I only pay $5. Obviously per month will mean more money spent overall so you have to realise that those paying larger amounts will probably drop their contributions or drop out completely.

Bobby Sherbet

Do it monthly dude! It's easier for me to manage too!

A2Sheds Jackson

I'm cool with a monthly payment if that's easier for you, especially since you give us regular updates on your projects. Your work ethic is incredible, (I'm never worried that you're slacking off) so I know the Patreon is in good hands. It feels really awesome to contribute to the stability of your dream job. Not to mention, I get to see all your great content, so it's a win-win!

Guy fryer

Monthly will work

Haufan

Do what is best for business! Tell us what we like ... whatever is best and easiest for you.

Ry Mo

Personally, the bulk of my $50 goes towards the primary deliverable, which is the big video, so if there's a month that goes by without receiving the primary deliverable and I still get charged anyways, that wouldn't be ideal. Unless the user requested reviews were to start being cranked out in between each big video or gear started coming out (the other major content I look forward to), I'd prefer to keep it per-video. I understand you're crazy busy and issues and things come up, and that's why the per-video sub kinda ensures we get the primary deliverable. Just imo

The Green Pyre

If there was a guarantee on videos being once a month, then monthly would be fine. Since there isn't I would stick with the "per big video model" until you feel comfortable you can achieve that.

Ryan Smith

Same as others, monthly would make most sense for me. 👍

James Erwin

Monthly is fine with me, Jay. Very happy to treat it like a subscription - OSW is f**king excellent and well worth the nominal sum I pay

LArnold

I`m happy with either, and will continue to support either way. As a $5 contributer, it doesn't change much for me. With the five week frame, I prefer paying for videos as they come out, but you've been producing a good amount of content such as mini-reviews that have made it worthwhile. Also, thanks for asking / explaining. Your fan interaction is great and much appreciated.

SubtleMoose

Monthly sounds good to me!

Jonathan Floyd

If yall can't do one big video per month, consider me un subscribed

Edward J Settle

It's 6 one way, half a dozen another for me. Whatever works for you, Jay.

Rhys Davies

Personally I would prefer monthly as that's how I get paid by work, plus if it goes monthly I'd bump it up to the top tier

Jonny Wenban

I'm good with monthly, I'm not on that high a squeeze (by squeeze I mean take my money ya fookin animal ya) per vid so regardless I would pay monthly. Can't remember the last time recently that there wasn't at least one per month so don't think this matters (the guys paying a lot more per video I could understand their reluctance if it wasn't at least on everything big video per month)

Jeremy

I'm fine with either, whatever works best for you guys.

Alphonso Wonderstuff

Monthly, weekly, per big vid... just do ya thing and take money when you need it brah.

Chris Dykeman

Personally, I like it the way it is - people have said it already, but an email confirming the payment lets me know there's a new video, which is great. But, whatever works best for you, Jay!

SirGeeeO

I prefer to keep it as is. i don't mind paying twice a month if i get 2 videos. i WOULDN'T like being charged a monthly fee if nothing were to come out due to unforeseen circumstances on your end. Things happen and I wouldn't want you to fall behind and then rush out an episode to make sure we get a video every month

Craig Mahon

I'm happy either way but I think people paying £50 or £20 would expect at least a video every month and you'd be putting pressure on yourself to get videos out. Another option is just don't release big videos as soon as they're completed and just release them on the same day every month. That way if you had a few videos in the bank ready to go and something unforeseen happened or you wanted to take a holiday it wouldn't effect your output.

Neuronin

Haven't been worried about a double-stinger yet, personally, but monthly would do nicely in my books...ensure you get that regular income, ensure that the bookkeeping is fairly predictable. The really important thing is that you and Los Dos Steves keep this rhythm and energy!

Jamie L Thompson

Monthly seems to make the most sense to me at any level. Do what ya's think is best .

Mark Valentin

Once a month. No muss or fuss. Soon, you'll guys will be giving away free months here on Patreon. Then you're gonna have to call Nogger U, the OSW NETWORK. Maybe have Crocodile Dundalk host a countdown type show.

Richard Dando

Per month would make life easier for all concerned I think. Keep up the good work guys! Oh and send me my What Barrrrr please - it's been three months now and I'm hungry.

Glenn McKenna

Per Vid for sure. Would not mind paying twice a month if that happened.

Patroniser

I think I'm being billed per month right now, I've been billed on the 2/8/16, 2/9/16, 3/10/16 and 2/11/16. Anyone else ?

Grant Durfee

I'm honestly ok with either, but per month does seem easier

Jon Wellington

Only just signed up at $5 do by no means a big backer but would prefer to have it per video. To me its like saying, great job on the video guys have a pint, rather than having a monthly direct debit which feels more like a formal agreement. Which is the opposite of good times.
