Season 2 is the best overall in my opinion, but 'San Junipero' from season 3 is by far the biggest triumph of the entire series.

1) White Bear 2) Be Right Back 3) White Christmas 4) The Waldo Moment. I just wrote out a more detailed reply explaining what I thought of each episode but it didn't post. 😞

"When the story finishes, everyone comes out like a huge asshole! When he was blocked, he could’ve just written something on a piece of paper to show her. She could’ve easily explained herself before hightailing it, would’ve avoided so much of this." I think it's a commentary on the use of the "block" button on social media sites like Facebook. If you block someone, or get blocked, the site essentially erases all evidence of the other person's existence from your perspective. It's a function that's easily abused to get out of awkward situations and I think they're commenting on the damage that can cause to people on the receiving end. Might be wrong as that's just the sense I'm getting from reading summaries.

White Bear: I loved the emotional switch that it forced the viewer to make, especially during & after the woodland rescue scene. It also made me think about how humane I'd be if I were to witness the constant re-setting of the whole ordeal, like for me she'd suffered enough. Justice not vengeance & all that. Be Right Back: Great story, nicely done, really depicted the pros & cons well. I still don't know what I'd decide if I were ever in that situation. Probably leave the memories alone (wooo!) White Christmas: Brilliantly done, but I think that by the end it was too much. I love seeing the real bad guys get their comeuppance but this show has a bad habit of having us see people pay for what they have or may have done in the most extreme way possible; Innocent, too harshly punished for their actual crimes or straight up guilty, as a series it always goes just that little bit too far. This episode on it's own? As you said, Jay, complete downer. The Waldo Moment: Great commentary on how easily manipulated people can be when it comes to politics & greed. It was ruined for me a bit as I spent the first 20 minutes trying to figure out where I recognised the main character from & then realised that he plays that annoying twat in the 'BT hub' adverts. Nice little episode though.
