Heya brahs & bras!Been absolutely smashing this out of it this past week, trying to prep, record and edit in time for launch day (today!) We've never been part of any launch (mostly shortly after in the initial burst) so that's been a blast. In short the core wrestling part of the game is excellent, very much like No Mercy/WCW nWo Revenge, but takes some of the jank as well. OOC wasn't available on such short notice, so we brought aboard special guest Matt McMuscles. Over an hour breaking down every aspect:OSW Fight Forever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2g_XTxMLJMw (1h8m)Download Link: clicky here!Pac is decidedly prehistoric.Usually I upload things here first, but as soon as the 1080p encoded on YouTube i started the premiere! Jaybles Plays Games

Watched it getting ready for work this morning and after watching IGNs review last night I had some fears. But after watching this (which is a far better review) I'm back on board. Whopper review boys cheers

Never stop pounding that schmeat into brie cheese. Bear Down!

I told my buddy after playing this yesterday that if you loved Day of Reckoning 1 and 2, this'll be your new favorite wrestling game. If you didn't, it won't be. Personally, I'm having a blast. Glad to see this review. All the ones panning it had me feeling like the crazy one. It isn't the best game, but it's not upsettingly bad. It's got a satisfying loop, too, if you grew up playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater or WCW/nWo Revenge, where it (sort of) rewards you for beating it with each character.

OSWreview

Updated the post with a download link if that's your fancy!

Jay's ending spoiler completely sold me on the game. I've gotta know what happens if you lose that match before the end...

Mr. Samuel Scratch

Even with the more limited CAW suite, I spent 3 hours making the hellish edgelord character of my 13 year old self's wrestling dreams, and enjoyed every moment of it. Having your wrestler in the "IS ALLELITE!" graphic is one of those things I know is pandering to me, and it WORKS. When devs offer you a "demon" and a "zombie" option for character customization, I know they're on the same wavelength as I am. And maybe I'm nuts, but I think in a game that wasn't actively on-fire, the weird and wacky 2K20 story mode would have been better received. I miss "weird" wrestling story modes, like the one where Undertaker filled the back with coffins and brought Jake Roberts and the Ultimate Warrior from the past to battle your created character (with commentary even mentioning the time paradox!) and the whole "Samoa Joe cyborg arm" feels like it could have worked in a game that was willing to take itself less seriously overall. Like have the New Day go back in time to stop the screwjob, and then you have to play as Bret Hart in a fed you know is trying to screw you over and make your way through situations and matches without losing. It's why my ears really perked up when you all mentioned how the lack of sheen actually lends itself to some real charm.

it's not relevant to AEW FF, but: I went to the Sheffield WWE house show, and when Matt Riddle came down to the ring, he clocked my bright blue Macho glasses OSW t-shart and we exchanged shaka-brah signs. Which was nice. Cheers lads! (Also Riddle/American Alpha vs Imperium was match of the night)

Jay Jay The WTF Plane

I love the way the game plays, hoping this does well enough to become a series; blows away the overly complex jank that is the 2k games.
