Hello listeners, Diamond Feit here, and I am Ser-Not-Appearing-In-This-Program. Yes, if you've been paying attention to social media or you noticed that last week's column had no audio portion, you know I caught a cold this month (just in time for my birthday, argh) and it unjustly impacted my ability to speak. Luckily, a joke I made during last month's community podcast gave us an out, so I handed over hosting duties to Stuart Gipp for a special all-UK edition of This Month In Retronauts.

Extremely Scottish guest Seumidh MacDonald joins Stu for a discussion of what these two have been playing, recent news, releases, and of course they read your feedback. Stu even came up with an all-new listener question that's quite a doozy if you ask me; I haven't come up with an answer yet but I'll have one by December for sure.

Specific items mentioned in this episode include:

Vampire Survivors "Ode to Castlevania" DLC

League of Legends

also DOTA & Heroes of the Storm

Sonic X Shadow Generations

Stu advises everyone to revisit episode #510

QotM: guess the obvious answer is to make a Dagwood/Scooby Doo style sandwhich based on Kirby. Now for it's contents, obviously lots of tomato, some spicy curry, inexplicably a slice of cake (would work if it was Subway's sandwhich bread lol), and for the rest throw in some of the random foods from over the years like burgers, hot dogs and pizza. I will of course be going out of business soon after due to no one buying this abomination.

Hi, I am usually listening via the apple podcast app. The episode is not listed in my feed. Is it just me, or did anybody else notice same problems?

Thanks for reading my comment! Now that my daughter has finished Resident Evil Remake I'm anxiously awaiting Resident Evil Ramadan to continue with the rest.

Wood Duck [Legacy Edition]

More of Seumidh in future please! He's wonderfully eloquent and has a handsome accent!

QotM: Introducing the MOTHER-lode! You cannot grasp the true form of this sandwich! Beef jerky, boiled eggs, a whole bag of fries, ketchup packets, a cup of noodles, piggy jelly, and of course, fuzzy pickles!

Wood Duck [Legacy Edition]

QotM - In honour of the recent release, lets have a STALKER 2 sandwich. Which is "bread", your choice of sausage or tinned Russian beef stew (tourists delight) and a tin mug of vodka to wash that radiation away. All three being essential items in the original game. May I use this as an opportunity to spruik STALKER Anomaly to the STALKER-curious out there. Anomaly is the original three game maps merged together, visually overhauled in a much improved and more stable X-ray game engine. Completely stand alone and free! It's a great sampler of the original games flavour and theme, continuously refined by fan modders. Then the insanity continues with the sprawling GAMMA overhaul which honestly makes it feel like it was made in 2017. Cheeki breeki stalkers!

Taskbaarchitect

QotM: I'd normally feel bad about this quality/quantity of puns but this time I can blame Stuart, so: Presenting the Super Meatroid! Featuring Meatballs to represent everyone's favourite crawling substitute, Prime cuts of beef and pieces of Chorizo all over, all cooked Griddle-y style. Topped with an overpowering slice of Edam (any objections, Lady?) and served on a Samusy-seed bun with Aran-ch dressing. Sorry.

Phoequinox

QotM: A secret sandwich not on the menu called the Salami Code. Reciting the famous code to your server prompts them to put in an order for a premium sub sandwich packed with cold cuts and cheese, with a tasty house brown mustard. Adding "select" just before the end will get you an additional sub for half the price.

Multiplayer Dungeon

QotM: Cheetahmen II - Buttered pumpernickel and human feces. With watercress.

Jeff Peterson

QotM: Presenting the "Zero the Hero" sandwich! Zero's primary colors are red and white for the armor, yellow for the hair, and green for the Z-Saber. Thinly sliced salami, pastrami, and prosciutto are layered onto ciabatta bread, topped with sharp cheddar and mozzarella cheese slices. Place tomatoes and thinly sliced red bell peppers over the cheese with a light amount of lettuce. Dress with a mixture of extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, and salt. This sandwich will truly shine as the hero of humans and reploids.
