Jeremy: AS YOU KNOW, "Years-in-Review Revues" are always exercises in attempting to corral chaos as a large group of people attempts to cover a wide range of topics with ample room for digression. Sometimes, chaos escapes. And really, I think that's all I have to say about this one... but the fact that the title spoils our failure to even reach 1995 probably gives it away. Enjoy!?!?

I honestly really enjoy the depth here. I’d be happy if they all took this long.

I personally love these over-extended years-in-review. Keep ‘em coming! It’s too bad Jared had to leave, I would love to hear his thoughts on Ultima IV. Perhaps we could get an episode for its 40th anniversary?

Does it hurt anyone else to realise that listening to Parish and co peacefully drone on and joke about 40 year old video games is in fact the exact same as that extremely boring sports/fishing/automotive television or radio program your father used to tune in for religiously when you were a kid? More please!

Craig

Take your time with these. Love em.

Weirdly, I think the only Western republication of the Irem Lode Runner games that I'm aware of is via Antstream of all things.

Fun episode, I don't mind 3 for the coverage :) Small comment that Jet Set Willy 2 is almost an expanded edition of 1 more than a sequel (Though I totally get why it would seem so being called 2!) in that it has the original rooms of 1 and has more rooms added and also has bug fixes for the original game that made it technically unwinnable. I feel like Manic Miner/JSW would be great for an expanded episode. Jet Set Willy in particular inspired a huge amount of fan mods/games that continued on well into the present day. Kim Justice has a great video on it and would be a cool guest and would love to hear the Stuart Gipp/European crew take: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GjTJt40VRY

I can listen to Jared talk about anything. He could make accounting software sound compelling.

Glad to see the Retronauhts East crew reconstituted. And we're definitely at the point where each year deserves a full episode.
