I hope you've got no pressing engagements for the next 150 minutes because thanks to Nintendo this is the longest Retronauts community podcast ever! You know we had to talk about the latest Direct and the announcement of Switch 2 while also making time for your comments and answers to last month's community question.

Speaking of which, I called an audible this month concerning the question so I hope you'll indulge me and use your words responsibly.

QotM: What video game had the most important and lasting impact on your life? (And please tell the story.)

littleterr0r

I work in SEO and specifically in dental marketing SEO so if you want to finally rank higher than that dentist, Diamond, hit me up.

Wood Duck [Legacy Edition]

Sigh, Stu's "round the old oak tree" joke may be the best he's ever made. QOTM - Is there a blind, bargain bin/impulse game purchase in your personal gaming history that meaningfully impacted your gaming-self forever and what was it? Mine was Anno 1701, an incredibly impressive and beautiful town-builder game I took a chance on, it ended the awkward and disappointing tranisition-to-3D era of that genre for me.

Sean Morton

I think if Stu is willing to say on a retro gaming podcast that he didn't enjoy Ocarina of Time he definitely embodies the Triforce of Courage.

Shrunken Shrine

Diamond: Could you tell us something about how living in Japan affects your gaming life in a way that most of us wouldn't realise, or something that you find is a common misconception in the west? Stuart: How long am I allowed to keep ROMs on my computer?

Patrick McClafferty

Oh I'll ask a question that's not far off from one you would ask us. Inspired by my recent trip to NYC and finding merch for one of my favorite anime movies that never gets stuff in the US, what underrepresented series/game would you like to finally be able to find merch for?

DarthObvious

Question of the month: What is a game, that is generally considered to be bad, that you still love anyway? Mine is Nickelodeon GUTS on the SNES. My mom bought it for us one Christmas and despite struggling with it, my brother and I figured it out and I have fond memories of us playing against each other.

Looptron

Katamary damacee sounds like someone from NYC saying it

PurpleComet

QotM: If you hear a co-host or guest say something that's incorrect or inaccurate, how do you react? Let's say it's something bad enough that it would be all you hear about in the comment section. I know us gamers can be a pedantic bunch.

Phoequinox

QotM: Your favorite video game that isn't a movie and will most assuredly never be a movie hypothetically becomes a movie. Who do you want as the main character? And who would you want to direct it?

haughtybiscotti

Im gonna use this freedom to pivot to anime 😈 QotM: do either of you have a favorite anime film? You can have seen it in theatres or on your TV at home no matter

PurpleComet

For the longest time the Y-axis was inverted in Nintendo games with no option to change it, so I appreciate that they allow more customization these days.

CitizenMeh

My question:What is your dumbest gaming moment? Like, when you spend 2 hours screaming at the TV trying to solve a puzzle, then you realise the solution is blindingly obvious

CapNChris

I have so many questions, but I will just ask one: When will we run out of retro games?

Devon Dale

Where else am I going to hear the Mariachi Entertainment System referenced side-by-side with the Clint Howard classic film “Evil Speak?” My people! QOTW: I’m sure I’m not the only weeboo who’d like to hear some tourist spots to visit in Japan, Diamond!

Nuno Amaral

Stu, Hunger = Triforce of Power (power-hungery) Ennui = Triforce of Wisdom If ignorance is bliss then the opposite could be ennui. To be honest, I didn't really care for Ocarina of Time when it was brand new. Like reading or exercising, I respect it, I just don't like it.
