Jeremy: Once upon a time, long ago, in an episode I like to call "359," we talked about the Famicom Disk System—the Japan-only diskette expansion that Nintendo released for the Japanese version of the NES. And now, here we are, talking about it again. What madness has besieged us? Why, no madness at all. Merely duty. This episode was a patron request that came from support Ben Hamilton, who wanted to join us for a new journey down the FDS branch of memory lane. Joining us this episode we have Kurt Kalata, who was here for episode 359, and some guy who calls himself RndStranger. Both of these gentlemen have covered the FDS catalog in its entirety (one through a YouTube channel, the other in book form), so i figured they'd probably have a thing or two to say about the subject.

Although we have explored this topic before, I feel confident in saying that this episode is almost entirely different from the older podcast, approaching things from a different angle and digging into completely distinct facets of the system.

Thanks to Ben for making this happen. We'll be catching up on our backlog of patron requests in the coming months, so you can expect to hear some new voices (and familiar ones) discussing topics that we may not have come up with on our own. Or, as with this episode, finding new things to say about topics that we did come up with on our own.

I can’t believe you stole my Set B Side intro joke! This was a blast. Thanks for having me on the show. I learned a ton and can’t wait to do it again.
