For this Retronauts Micro, we're going for a community-focused approach as we respond to YOUR comments about Bob's latest round of episodes! This week, join Bob Mackey, Henry Gilbert, and Matthew Jay as the crew fields responses to previous Retronauts installments about video game ads, the Nintendo GameCube, Doom, television games, and Spider-Man games. All this, and a close examination of a video where Stan Lee excoriates Todd McFarlane and Rob Liefeld! Could you ask for anything more?

No relation to the Waltons of Wal-Mart family, and I'm pretty okay with that. I wouldn't say no to more money though. Also, I do agree that the gender of electronics is implied, but I think the point is that they are rarely ever explicitly implied with color coding and separate aisles like toys are. So it wouldn't be as strange to see a mom or a young girl shopping in the electronic section of a department store in the 70s compared to seeing them in the boy toys section in the mid-80s.

I'm not a huge fan of Stan Lee for the same reasons everyone tends to criticizes him, but this audio is a good reminder that he is an excellent editor and his guidance and creative instincts were key to the success of Marvel, even if he isn't the unstoppable creative force he is often marketed as. Between that and his recent problems with abuse, and I feel like my feelings towards the man have soften considerably.

I'd like to read the Doom BFG steam post referred to, but can't seem to find it. Anyone have a link?

My sister was listening to this episode in the car with me on a road trip and thought Henry's voice sounded like Kevin Murphy from Rifftrax/MST3K fame
