It's the yuletide season, which means it's time to head to the Retronauts Holiday Cabin in Parts Unknown yet again for another look at a Christmas-related video game thing. And even thought this is our tenth (!) holiday special, we haven't hit the bottom of the barrel just yet! This time around, we'll be looking at the Christmas (and final) episode of Earthworm Jim, the short-lived Kids' WB cartoon that, 25 years later, stands as one of the better games-to-animation adaptations out there. So smear on some wolf repellant and get ready for the only holiday travel not prohibited by law as host Bob Mackey and guest Henry Gilbert discuss this cartoon relic of the mid-90s. Groovy!

I need to queue up a 10th anniversary marathon of Christmas episodes, in honor of the season!

My dad plays Santa at a bunch of events each year. This year he is working for the company that manages the mall Santas in NJ doing virtual visits via a website. It costs significantly more than what you suggested lol.

Thanks for this. I'm with Jeffrey, time for a marathon! In my feed I can only see back to the 2013 episode. If anyone knows where or how I can get to the rest let me know, it would be much appreciated! Patrick, my Dad plays Santa as well! He rides atop a firetruck in my hometown. Unfortunately not gonna happen this year. Glad your Dad is doing it virtually. Happy Holidays all

This was a fun one. It warms my heart that Asshole Doug really dislikes the cartoon, since it is the only good thing about Earthworm Jim

Also, as all good Retronauts should know: both Earthworm Jim 1 and 2 are available for Evercade as part of the Interplay collections. Collection 1 has the Genesis version of EWJ1 and Collection 2 has the SNES EWJ2. I have tried to get into them but...meh

Man, I bet the only thing Doug hates more than this cartoon is me. Seriously, the man personally despises me.

I had crippling back pain when I first started listening to this ep a few days ago. At the end of this ep, I was able to dance to the Christmas rap! It's a miracle

Great episode, guys. If anyone is curious, Turlock is a city in California which neighbors the town of Denair, where the Earthworm Jim creator grew up (I won't say his name). Apparently, he didn't think much of Turlock and would make jokes at its expense in some of his work. It's funny that they mention a Turlock mall in the episode as there is no such thing.

I love the smell of magic the gathering cards
