Well, well... what do you know. We said we'd follow up on the 1973 & ’83 podcast soon, and here we are just a couple of weeks later with the promised continuation. That's the kind of high-end service you have come to expect from Retronauts! Well, no, actually, you've probably come to expect the opposite. That's what makes it such a fun surprise, I guess.

Anyway, a good time will had by all. (That's not a promise, though. It's a threat.)

Love these episodes. 1993 can’t be 30 years ago though, I was 10 then…oh.

re: the discussion of Sword Quest at 12:40, I once worked for the grandson of Jack Tramiel, who told me stories about how he had been in the same room as them, and had once had his picture taken with all the Treasures. I once suspected that he had been gifted one of the lost treasures for a wedding gift, but I doubt it now. Sadly, the grandson has since passed on. RIP

I never owned a Jaguar and never played Trevor McFur, but the screenshots of that game made me a true believer in the potential of that system. In 1993, the Genesis and SNES couldn't touch watch those static images were showing, and I was so excited for what the system would eventually create. Fast forward 20+ years later when I finally saw video of that game in motion, and...wow. How could anyone publish an early release without music? Seems impossible. One thing the episode skipped over was the release of SF2 Turbo at home on Genesis and SNES, but even if greater interest is Mortal Monday and what that meant to the industry.

When you do the 1994 year in review, it would be cool if you could get Tim Rogers as a guest since he made a whole video essay about that year in videogames.
