At the tail-end of the late '90s/early '00s prime-time cartoon boom, UPN launched Game Over, an animated series that dared to ask "Did you ever wonder what happens after the game ends?" Over the course of six episodes, it failed to explore this question, and instead wasted the time of talented people who should have been doing much better things. On this episode of Retronauts, join cartoon experts Bob Mackey and Henry Gilbert as they explore a thing they regret to inform you about.

UPN for TV was like LJN for gaming during that time.

It's very nice when a podcast episode subject can be located online instantly and watched in all of twenty minutes so you can go in having some idea what the hell it's all about. I suppose I could also emulate and play X-retro-game-I've-never-played from every episode, but a twenty minute video on youtube is much easier to set up and get through! Update - Wow I mean it's bad but also.... weirdly compelling. A few of the jokes are actually Simpsons level clever!

Thank you for your service, gents. This show was wildly awful.

I hate to say it but listening to this made me want WAC episodes on rancid 2000s cartoons like Drawn Together, Tripping the Rift, and Father of the Pride.

No need to apologize, Bob. I'm all for more What A Cartoon episodes.

Uhhh...Greg

I had never even heard of Game Over before. I am two episodes in and the second got twice as many laughs as the first. Two.

So now were going to talk about the Canadian, computer-animated, 1994 "Reboot", right? ;)
