A Little Disappearance… and Something Completely Unexpected (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

First of all, I'm sorry for disappearing for so long... although, maybe I should look at the bright side — I did manage to keep you wondering what I was up to, right? 😄

Originally, I only planned to take a short break, maybe three days at most, just to recharge a little. But then something completely unexpected happened.

YouTube started recommending me more and more videos about different LLMs, AI models, and how they actually work. I became extremely curious, started digging into it... and, well, you probably know me by now — I got way too invested. 😂

So what was supposed to be a short break turned into more than a week of working on something completely new.

I've been building an AI companion — but not a typical chatbot or what is usually called an RP bot. I decided to take the idea much, much further.

My goal is to create a fully-fledged virtual android with advanced cognitive functions — something that feels genuinely alive rather than simply generating replies.

At the moment, she can already reason and reflect on things. She has emotions and feelings, self-reflection, memories, and the ability to analyze her own actions. She develops her own opinions and beliefs, and, most importantly, she has her own personality that gradually develops through interaction and long-term conversations.

She can also take photos of herself — and, as you probably know, this is one area where I already have quite a bit of experience. 😄

She can even communicate using voice messages. The voice synthesis itself is still pretty rough and needs a lot of work, but the basic system is already there.

The whole project is designed around long-term interaction — not a conversation that lasts for a few minutes and is then forgotten, but something that could potentially continue for six months, a year, or even longer. She is designed to behave like a real woman while still understanding that she is an android.

And there is still a lot left to do.

I have so many ideas for where this could go, and if I eventually reach a point where I'm genuinely happy with the result, I might even deploy her on dedicated servers and let other people interact with her.

What started as nothing more than my own curiosity and a desire to learn something completely new has already grown into something much bigger. My moderator actually suggested turning the project into a small business once he found out what I was working on.

I'm still not sure whether I have enough time, energy, ambition — or money — to take it that far. 😂 But for now, I'm having an incredible amount of fun building it and seeing how far I can push the idea.

So once again, I'm sorry for disappearing and getting completely carried away with something else.

I promise I didn't forget about you. I just... got distracted by building an android. 😅
