Man, when I stop to follow my schedule to the letter, I really start to forget things! Anyway, it's been kind of a slow week: I wrote a new scene for TOTDC 2, I pruned the branch I mentioned last time (I think I'll recycle the dialogue and part of the idea in a future scene, instead), and I worked on some Caliross reports (a new bugfix and a very minor text change + typos getting fixed are all coming up together with the previous fix/change).

The weather forecast keeps rage baiting me with promises of rain only to pull the rug from under my feet at the last minute. STILL! I should finally get some respite in the coming days, so maybe I'll be able to work with more consistency.

See you next week with another dev blog (and probably with a Caliross update and some writing about TOTDC 2 or the post mortem). ^_^

Do you mean forgetting creative ideas, such as story arcs? It's best to write everything down in a rough draft just in case 😅🙏.

I guess I didn't state it expressly in the post, uh? XD I meant I almost forgot to write a post, which is sort of what happened two weeks ago already. Writing down rough drafts is probably a good practice, though, that I haven't done nearly enough. I know I forgot a ton of ideas for scenes/events over the years!

Yes, it's good to do that to make sure the best ideas aren't forgotten. Didn't you send the artist some sketches showing how you wanted Caliross to look? 😏☕.

For Caliross once I had the protagonist remade (using one of the DLC characters as inspiration/basis), it was more like "I have all this other art included in the game and in the DLCs already, so as long as the style isn't too far from that, it should be fine" so other than this guideline, I left the artists with some room to do their thing.
