Since the release was just a couple of days ago, there isn't much to report from last week that you guys don't know. I have been busy answering questions about the update and whatnot, fixed a solitary bug so far, and generally handling the post-release activity.

For the next month, I'd like to work on at least 2 out of 3 things (then depending on how much time I have left, either some scenes or maybe complete all 3 of these):

  • Visiting Lord Kairos in his mansion;

  • Write the next quest for the adventurers guild;

  • Write the next quest for the mage guild (this one might be the last for the "main story" of the guild);

Visiting the mansion is the first one I'll work on. I already have a map ready in the game, and it should be a fun event. It will be nice to see the previous interactions change things here and there, and I think I can get some sexy and interesting material out of it.

The two quests I have a good idea of what I want to do. The adventurers will need some map work, however, so I need to think carefully and see if I can possibly finish it this month or if I should spread the workload over a longer period of time.

The mage guild quest could be complicated for the dialogues, but it doesn't have any other particular requirements (I could even do it without a new map, although I'll probably use one, in the end).

Other than this, I'd like something for the werewolf path, and perhaps I should add something for monster pregnancies, but other than this I'll probably decide later on what else to try and tackle (assuming there is enough time).

On a different topic, I was wondering how good these weekly posts are, and if there is anything you guys feel like it's missing. I try to keep things vague to avoid spoilers, but perhaps you'd like me to go into more detail? Do you want me to talk about technical, behind the scenes stuff if there is anything like that? Should I tell you what I am trying to achieve with certain scenes?

If you have any suggestions or thoughts on the matter, do let me know. These are to keep you informed, after all, it would be nice if you get the info you want. XD

That's all for now, see you guys next time! ^_^

I enjoy the weekly comments, and the way you're doing them now suits me just fine. Keep up the good work, I think you make some of the best games around.

Thanks a lot for the kind words! ^_^ It's also good to know the posts might be fine "as is".

Personally I don't really care what you discuss during it, but that you discuss anything at all. It shows that you still acknowledge us as more than just wallets (not that you've ever given a reason to think otherwise) and also a way for us to know you haven't had anything untoward happen to you. BTW, are you intending to enable yearly pledges? I'm a little wary of doing those with Patreon becoming more and more erratic with adult oriented games, but I'd probably support you on it.

"I am still alive, please send more money" will be the next title, to bring the service more on par with the regular Patreon experience. Joking aside, as long as these are useful in some way, it's a win. How does the yearly thing work? Is there any advantage for you guys? If not, it's probably not worthwhile (the more flexible options would be much better for patrons, I'd think). Reading into it, it seems like I'd have to change to monthly payments to activate it (instead of "per release"), so I don't think I'll be doing it.

Troqu

Oh that makes sense. You're so consistent in your releases I forget that you actually do paid posts instead of monthly charging. I think the benefit to us is they give us a discount but with the way the fees work out it doesn't affect your bottom line? I've never been too sure if the discount is an option or a part of the system.

Yeah, you basically pledge for a year and get 1 month off. I find the timing a bit suspicious considering a judge just ruled that they need to cough up the costs for hundreds of arbitration cases for people angry about their favorite creators getting banned. Their motives for this feature might be less than pure.

mdqp

Do you mean 1 month you don't pay their 5% cut? Well, as long as something benefits the public, it's not a bad thing, even if it was just a PR move. I sure wish Patreon didn't ban people arbitrarily, though.

mdqp

I like to think consistency is a good thing, especially when asking people for support. so I am happy I am so good at it to fool you. XD So there is a discount of some sorts. It sounds like a minor thing, so probably not worth revolutionizing the entire setup, but I should at least take a look at it.
