Indeed, how that's handled is basically that you guys won't be able to see exactly what's going on (is Evan banging them in the ass or are they breeding their pussy? Is Even riding a dick or scissoring? etc), and their actual gender will have to be inferred mechanically (IE: did they knock you up?). That or we'll hold a vote for how you guys might like to see it handled.~JH

I definitely want to see Vampir win next. Spurple was drawing some really sweet body shifting powers for that species.

Well, I was really hoping for Satyr,Beetle or Mycoid but I guess Chimera will add some diversity into the mix I'm curious to see how this turns out.

Not sure if I understood correctly, but do you mean that the idea is, we wouldn't see anything what is happening during their scene, and it would be just about movement and expressions? Honestly that sounds a bit like a waste of a vote then... (don't mean to be rude, I'm just a bit salty that we have one less male monster in the game :P )

This seems really over complicated, why hide what's going on that's not how a trap works. Trap refers to a male about to have sex with a girl only to realize that they are in fact male but a very girlish one at that. Having to hide the actual sex could also be a problem what if say someone only wants to see straight scenes and it turns out this is MxM? I think a good compromise would be to use the chimera's tail as a vagina morph and a tenta dick for the female just make the chimera into a feminine male and that should make poses and animation a lot easier.

I agree that a vote might be best, and that this is seeming a little overcomplicated. I mean, especially since you'll have to put the work into hiding what's happening during the sex scenes, just to have it revealed later anyways when you find out if your gender protag happens to be the one who can't have eggs with chimera :( I like the idea of chimera having the ability to morph, and therefore being able to have eggs with both Eve and Evan ^^ Especially if they are a strong monster, this could give them a lot of good potential mechanically.

Although Chimera was referred to as a trap, it's actually more accurate to call it gender-undefined. It has no gender and can alter it's biology at will. Showing specific body parts ruins this concept, which is why some form of "hiding" needs to be in place.

How is that going to be handled, btw? Like, the fact that they'll be five females, one gender indeterminate, and four males? will the males get an extra vote or something to make it even? I was actually wondering before if whether chimera was a trap or a reverse trap would be dependant on what list they ended up being voted in (i.e. they'd be feminine male if voted on the male list, and masculine female appearing male if voted on the female list).

hahaha :D I guess we'll have to see what the Chimera brings to the game (I actually wonder why it was so popular). But I share your pain on the Spectre. Would be fun to have a more submissive male monster

Food for thought: without same sex breeding/genderbends, Eve can't currently have eggs with one of the strongest monsters, dragons, correct? Since chimera is also a very strong monster, would it not be fair to have them be able to have eggs with Eve (if not also Evan)? Just saying, I really hope Eve will be able to have eggs with chimera. Or that same sex breeding is implemented, that would be cool too! Assuming there's a benefit to having eggs with the protag as opposed to other monsters.

Oh I completely agree! I also feel like one of the tragedies of BS is that the Feral Elves and Seraphs never got animated, but the art design for the Spectre is slightly similar. Submissive and otherworldly!

The game will be designed so you can pick up eggs from battling monsters in dungeons. It's not exclusive to breeding.

Also, you can still breed your dragon with other male monsters like wolf and centaur.

Yes, but I was told there was a domesticity bonus if you bred your monsters with the protag as opposed to other monsters? Meaning not being able to breed with the protag could offer disadvantage. Unless that isn't true, which apologies if it isn't, my post was based on that assumption. The being able to pick up eggs from dungeons is nice, but I seem to remember it being said that eggs will be quite rare, as to encourage breeding?

To clarify, since dragon and chimera are (I believe) the strongest monsters in the game, I'm just saying it would be nice for Eve to be able to have eggs with one of them. Otherwise, if it was decided Evan would only be able to have eggs with chimera, then it would mean only Even could have eggs with the game's two strongest monsters. Not a big deal, and maybe you're already going to make Eve able to have eggs with chimera, I don't know, I only made my original comment in case it could be something to consider in the decision :) Also, I know genderbends being voted in probably makes this moot, but since it isn't guaranteed until the vote, I figured it would still be a good idea to bring up.

Domesticity bonuses are a bit weird right now. Until gender bends are in we need to figure out how to implement them properly.

Fair enough! I know a lot of things may be up in the air until a vote. Also, another question: I figured golem and chimera wouldn't get genderbends since they are gender indeterminate. But if genderbends get voted in, and all other species will be able to be bred by both Eve and Evan, will you also let chimera and golem be able to be bred by both? If this is too far ahead and isn't being considered yet I totally understand. Figured I'd ask just in case, since I was curious ^^

Unsure about the golem but it should behave the same way the chimera would. The current plan is that Chimera is breedable by both Eve and Evan.
