Yeah this episode definitely serves as series finale. I know that the 07-08 writers' strike was looming as season 5 entered production so this episode may have been written with finality just in case the show was a casualty of the strike. Thankfully it wasn't. As for the episode itself it does a great job with closing a chapter. Paul Johanson is a truly gifted actor. It's not that I feel bad for Dan per say but I pity him greatly in part because Paul sells his fall from grace so well, it's a strange feeling to have as a viewer.

Said it before and I'll say it again. The actor who plays dan is amazing. He's such a piece of shit. Yet you kinda feel bad for him lol. Looking forward to seeing S5
