This was the cover image I made for StArt Faire magazine's next issue, but turns out it won't be used for awhile - so I'm posting it here for you guys first. Along with a story:
In my last post about StArt Faire, I explained how the mirroring in the magazine would start with the Hunter's Hunt arc (page 207 in the archives.) The reason I assumed this was because it was what I'd submitted in my application. Once my application was accepted, I had until the 28th this month to send in a cover page and comics to be included in the next issue. Thought about waiting until the final week of the month to get the pages ready. There's a few other projects that need to be finished this month as well. And after all, Hunter's Hunt is when the page files are more consistent, it wouldn't take too long reformatting them. But my I was so excited about this project, ended up having no choice but to channel that energy into work.Finished the cover page and formatting the comics, sent in the pages a few days ago. Then got an unexpected response: turns out I was supposed to submit the very first pages of FE. StArt Faire didn't want to risk confusing readers by starting in the middle of the archive, and instead wanted to mirror FE in it's entirety. Which is awesome! But also means I would have to start completely over. With inconsistent page files that will require more time/effort to reformat. They were kind enough to give me a month's extension, but I do still want to try meeting this month's deadline. However, if I'd waited until last week to submit the pages, I'd have had no choice but to take the extension. It's an important reminder to me: to always try finishing projects before a deadline, so there's time to correct mistakes. Honestly, I needed that reminder.
