So, this past week's been...yeah.

I live near Dallas County, which just got the order to Shelter-in-Place to combat the COVID spread. So far, my county hasn't gotten that order yet - but we are neighbors with Dallas, many residents, myself included, are bracing ourselves for similar orders soon, and have been preparing accordingly.

I'll admit, it's getting to me. Each day I'm seeing the store shelves get emptier, People take more drastic measures to stay separated, and more businesses shut down entirely. But I do have a lot to be grateful for. I'm not sick (that I know of - haven't been tested), my Office Job is considered and "essential business," so it won't be shut down during the crisis - though it may be restructured to weather it. And there's a pretty great outlet for my fried nerves that I need to focus on - drawing, and this awesome community.

So, to help jump-start both of those, I dipped into savings and ordered those new headphones early - I want to get streaming back up and going soon as possible. In the meantime, this weekend I'll host a Sketch Request Event, will be posting more details in a couple days! The 'Text Stress' comics are ordered, and I got notified they shipped today - so I should be receiving them in the next couple weeks! Those with a commission in queue will be getting a message or email this week, reviewing to make sure I've got the correct request. I'll also be posting progress updates of the pieces here on Patreon, as well.

And sometimes, I just need to sketch/draw something to make me laugh. Like the Tunnel of Nap sketched above. So when that happens, I'll make sure to share those, too.As always, if you have questions or concerns please let me know! I hope you're all staying safe, healthy, and we get to hang out again soon.

I don’t remember what I’ve got in queue, but we can talk about that later. My job is also essential service, so we’re all working. That said, I have to stay away from my parents-they’re in their seventies and relatively healthy but I get exposed to the public at work. That said, the courts here are limiting public access to the courthouses-only essential matters are being heard in person. County has added Pandemic sick pay-if we show symptoms, we are required to stay off work for fourteen days. The economic fallout is going to be much worse than the talking heads think-worldwide recession at a minimum.

Fluttershy looks lovely. It will be nice to have those stream hangouts again, I'm excited! My town hasn't gotten the order either, that I'm aware of, but my relatives and some of my friends live in states that have. Another one of my friends went with her mom to shelter in the countryside because her mom's high-risk and said friend, who is blind, needs to touch things to use as references. I'm glad my siblings and parents are together, though not together with me, and that I can work from home and contact friends & family for videochats. I'm also grateful for good yoga videos (the Home series by Adriene, specifically, up on Youtube); it gives me something physical to do that I can practice in my apartment. Otherwise I'd probably go nuts. I'm glad you're doing okay, too. Is your workplace stocked up on sanitizer? Wishing everyone the best and hope folks are staying safe.

I'm glad you haven't gotten sick Ellen. My area also basically is shelter in place. I haven't gone to work for a week.
