Ya’ll are breaking my heart with the Dead Cells hate! It’s soooo good. It’s a must play if you’re a Metroidvania fan, which I understand why Frankie would have no interest, but EJ, that’s your jam. They have crossovers with lots of games / devs. So Konami basically let them use the Castlevania license for their newest DLC, which is incredibly fun. It is s rougelite though, which means the levels are random every “run” and when you die, the game is over. I’m surprised you guys don’t enjoy more rouglites. They remind me of playing classic games on the nes and genesis as a kid. With no autosaving / saved progression outside of some meta progression that threads through all future runs. It’s incredibly addictive and time consuming. They are normally pretty challenging though and I can understand that being a deterrent.
