The conversation Ymir had about Reiner and bertoldt keeping her alive if they brought historia back with them because she is important is true. And it is also true Ymir does actually care for historia. So you’re basically spot on.

Don't worry about what you might or might not remember. The show will explain things in due time. It's ambigious on purpose. Just let it flow and experience it the way you experience it and if you miss something we can always catch you up on it after :) Season final tomorrow? I couldn't find any schedule ^-^

i think youre doing fine in keep track of stuff. some stuff gets confusing but ill say that connie pointed out something that lit a light bulb for historia. why would ymir who fought so hard to keep her alive, to the point of nearly dying suddenly turn around and be like "yeah, im gonna sacrifice you to save myself." just something to keep in the back of your head.

About the Ymir and Christa thing, it's hard to remember every detail from every conversation but back in episode 34, when Reiner is getting Ymir on their side, he basically says that they can't guarantee Ymir's safety if she comes with them, BUT they might be able to guarantee Christa's, which is what Ymir agrees to. So the reasoning Ymir gives to Christa in this episode doesn't exactly line up with what was discussed then.

Ymir is both telling the truth and lying. Her deal with Reiner and Bertoldt is true but she's lying about why she is doing it. She wanted to convince Christa to join them to save her from being trapped in the walls. A fate that Ymir thinks will be hell soon. Christa is always trying to play the Martyr so she pretends to be pathetic and self centered knowing Christa would join them because of her savior complex. Always living for someone else. Except Christa says something that Ymir doesn't expect. "I will always be your ally." Christa only cares about Ymir. She only cares about saving Ymir. Ymir begged her to live her true self. For Christa living for Ymir is her true self. Connie points it out to Christa. Why would Ymir fight so hard to protect Christa if she only cared about saving herself?
