for the extra episodes that go into levis backstory, you can watch them whenever you want. theyre genuinely very good episodes btw, if you were wondering. now we're really getting into a big theme of the show of whos really in the wrong? is anyone or is it just two different opposing views? hange is left androgynous in the manga so she could be either or but in the anime she is referred to as a woman several times with her pronouns. when they were torturing the guy, btw, this isnt a spoiler as its never brought up again but at one point he was talking about killing a couple who thought they could fly. that was armins parents. when he was young they tried to escape the walls in a makeshift hot air balloon but didnt even get off the ground before being caught and killed. they most likely feared it would be too dangerous to take a very young child with them which is why he doesnt know what happened to them. and who knows, they mightve come back at some point.

You can watch the Levi ova whenever there is no real chronological order to watch it.

CosmicTransmtation

she didn't notice that levi and mikasa have the same last name :(

mitchhamilton64

its an easy thing to miss, at least in the anime if youre just watching it straight through without going back. they dont mention her name a whole lot. a lot of people miss it.

Helos

That whole Levi vs Kenny squad sequence is one of the best animation cuts

Levi's OVA, 'A Choice With No Regrets', should ideally be watched before season 4. So I'd say between Season 3 Part 1 and Part 2. Some people say it's unimportant, but from a viewing perspective, you gain another understanding of where Levi's 'wise-ass sh*t' comes from, so I think it's actually relevant from the perspective of engagement with the character. Also, you're not alone regarding S3 Part 1's intro. It's also my least favorite AoT opening.

season 3 part one op is great, and i will stand by this forever.

I was gonna say the credits song hits harder than th intro song and you beat me to it 😂
