Happy Feature Fight Club Fridayyyy!

So stoked to revisit this one. All I remembered was the twist so this was a wild rideee.

Also I've had Where Is My Mind stuck in my head all week haha.

Apologies that there's no outro for this. I needed a break to process after watching the film and haven't had a chance to film a formal outro yet. For those who are curious, I watched this on Disney+/Hulu.

Your doctor was concerned about how many books you are reading and he fitted the neck brace so that you can't tilt your head down to read 😅 Haven't seen this movie before so I'm looking forward to seeing what it's all about and hearing your out there commentary haha.

Brad Pitt and director David Fincher are collaborating again on a film releasing in the summer titled THE ADVENTURES OF CLIFF BOOTH, which will have the screenplay written by Quentin Tarantino and is the sequel to ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD.

I think they just removed this from Hulu on May 1st FYI if you're looking for it like I am. I was only checking because I thought it might be a 4k version. I have it on iTunes, but they apparently aren't doing the 4k till may 12...

fun fact, marla's comment after she had sex with tyler about how she hadnt been f'd like that since grade school was a rewrite. in the script she originally said "i want you to have my abortion" and a fox exec stepped in to have it changed and in protest they changed it to something worst. the exec then either asked them to change it back but they refused or she just gave up entirely and didnt interfere with notes on the script further.

Be careful with the muscle relaxers. I started to take them regularly over the course of like a week and had the most intense allergic reaction of my life. The skin on my face became so loose and bloated, my eyes were open and I still couldn’t see from my eyebrows drooping over my eyes. Pretty dramatic, but I think it was more because of my consistency rather than the strength of the medicine.

Great reaction! Man, this movie is so iconic, I forgot about Meat Loaf, I forgot Jared Leto got his face bashed in, the soundtrack rocks, it’s a good time. AND! Ok seriously Natalie, Cameron, Nicolette, whoever reads this, the YT edit needs to include cigarette burns just like in the film. Just a spliced image of Natalie (or maybe Natalia) a few times during the reaction. That would be so meta and hilarious.

An interesting theory I've heard - This movie is actually about the narrator's struggle with testicular cancer. They mention cancer, and testicles/the removal of testicles a lot. Plus, what doctor would actually recommend an insomniac patient go to a testicular cancer group. He's already an unreliable narrator so we have to take everything with a grain of salt and read between the lines.

The real disappointment of this film is that Brad Pitt was never cast as The Joker. You wouldn't have to change much if anything about this performance.

How have you not watched this film until now? Did you not know this movie existed? I'd talk more about it but that is breaking the first two rules of Fight Club lol. When this movie was coming out, they had no idea how to market it. I think it was marketed as a fighting movie but that's not actually what to movie is. This movie was pushed back in 1999 due to Columbine Shooting. Are you wearing a neck brace? I haven't seen your reaction yet. You a member? lol
