Hey guys!

Help me decide which of these movies I should watch next!

Go through the MCU! Would be awesome to see your reaction to all of the Marvel films :))

Anonymous

Batman begins lads and lasses!!

MotoDork

I know you have a list but I’ll also say you should watch ROBOCOP. But make sure it’s the unedited version (the X-rated version, rated X for violence).

Game Wizard001

Honestly you can't go wrong with any of them. With that said, Iron Man is a good choice, lol

master_octagon

Wow! These are hard choices :( If you do Iron Man, will you watch the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films?

Anonymous

YES!! Marvel Cinematic Universe and go through it theatrically! Thank you!!

WastedPo

Before voting: You haven't seen Iron Man, but have you seen other MCU movies? I'm just wondering if this will be a one-off viewing, or if it's meant to kick-off a whole series culminating with Endgame.

Anonymous

“Love you 3000”

NobleSon32

MCU is so enjoyable, and the movies are a good reflection of the years they were released both from a film aspect being the pinnacle of acting and effects, or in regards to the actual issues and technologies of the years they were released.

Mondo Spieler

All are pretty good choices. Iron Man would be a good start if you are planning a MCU watch-through.

Andrew Layden

MCU let's go! But the Batman trilogy is a great idea for afterwards

Allan Rumberger

Iron Man, in the hopes that it becomes a long-term MCU series.

Seabass

I would not recommend nor watch too many Marvel movies. Not sure you would enjoy it in large doses, I know I don't and I really like superheroes stuff. There's a lot of awesome MCU movies, and a lot of just good ones. Again, small doses, a trilogy here, then a break and circle back to it. Otherwise it's just too much CGI and american candied movies.

Shea Harris

The Matrix EASILY for me out of these options! I have no interest in MCU or DC.

michael mccafferty

The first Matrix movie is deservedly a legend. The subsequent films are hard to appreciate if you do not know know the behind-the-scenes reactions to the first movie. I'm not saying "don't watch," I am saying that while the first movie can be enjoyed as-is, subsequent movies will require "homework." No spoilers, but after you watch The Matrix, consider this review of the movie. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BUt6eXkFMs I agree with Nick, If you are looking for an easy queue of films, the MCU is sure to be crowd pleasing.

Natalie Gold
>>41126496

definitely! And I'll watch them in chronological order, but I'll do polls to decide when to watch em. Still may space em out for the folks who aren't MCU fans

Natalie Gold
>>41126587

I haven't seen most MCU films! And I do plan on watching em all. I'll do polls like this though to give the folks who aren't MCU fans a break as well

callum

I just can't get away with the Marvel franchise. All the other options are great though.

Jack the Narrator

I'm torn between BATMAN BEGINS & THE MATRIX. With the upcoming release of TENET, it might be good to familiarize yourself with the films of Christopher Nolan (The DARK KNIGHT trilogy, MEMENTO, INCEPTION, THE PRESTIGE, INTERSTELLAR). Another MATRIX is in the works, so it would definitely be great to see you introduced to that epic trilogy.

Sword Monkey

The Matrix was a ground breaking film. The second and third movies, while beautiful to watch, sort of fell off. Batman begins is a good choice if you want a darker more realistic super hero experience.

Natalie Gold
>>41127095

I likely won't do all the MCU movies in a row :) I'm going to try and break stuff up with polls. Luckily I got a lot of great films to get through!

Anonymous

I voted for Ironman mainly because seeing this movie helps you appreciate the other GOOD MCU movies. the Matrix is actually a much better movie than Iron Man, but as was stated above, works best as a. Stand-alone. Batman Begins and Princess Bride would also work well. I would enjoy watching you react to any of these. (Not a big Star Wars fan, so I miss you!

Anonymous

Patreon isn't allowing likes right now on my end 🤷🏾‍♂️

Seabass

The Matrix is a cult/game changer movie in the history of cinema. Batman Begins (and that trilogy) is so awesome, Oscar nomination for cinematography, Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale being in the zone. The last movie of the Batman trilogy is a little masterpiece (2 major Oscars). I would not do too many Marvel (MCU) movies in a row. There's a lot of awesome movies but a lot of just ok/good ones. And it's a ton of CGI and candied american action. Now, again there's a few hidden gems in that universe but I don't think you would enjoy watching too many in a row. And I love superhero stuff.

Matthew Duley

I love Batman Begins as it's the best of the trilogy, in my opinion. And Iron is awesome, too. But The Matrix is just an incredible classic. It would be interesting to get your take on it.

Andy Jordan

I feel like if you're going to start the MCU, it should probably be sooner rather than later, since the Infinity Saga wrapped up last year, and massive spoilers will only get harder to avoid. I agree don't do them all in a row with no breaks, and for what it's worth, I think they're way more than just cinematic candy, but you take from art what you bring to it. I must also say, however, that "The Princess Bride" is my favorite of those 4. Thank you again, Natalie, for continuing to do good work and bring smiles.

Tiger Chu

You should really check out Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Michael Bergeron

My vote was for Iron Man just since I think it would be great to see all your reactions to the MCU, even if a few of the earlier ones were just ok. But might as well start those since there are so many films. But the Matrix is an eventual must see. And Batman Begins and the rest of the Dark Knight trilogy is fantastic as well.

Aaron Taft

Never seen the Matrix.... how do you get through life without seeing the Matrix?

Aaron Taft

Never seen the Matrix... How do you even get though life without "accidentally" seeing the Matrix?

Dave M.

The Matrix, duhhh! The “bullet time” effects are so cool!

Robert Reichle

No losers here. Any and all are good choices.

Matthew Periolat

Can go with any of the four and I’m happy. I voted Iron Man, but Princess Bride would be awesome. Come to think, could couple that with Stardust for a double. Matrix is mind blowing and Batman Begins is a solid solid little trilogy. Truth be told, might be better seeing the Nolan Trilogy ahead of Iron Man since the reality of superheroes actually helps Iron Man.

Jimmy Crackcorn

The Matrix will surely get the biggest reactions from Ms. Gold ... and that's why I'm here. :)

Robert Boutchard

matrix is the most "iconic" for reactions, especially if she hasnt seen them

wallace cady

The Matrix is a good reaction one, Iron Man leads to all 22 MCU movies, Batman Begins to the Dark Knight trilogy. Princess Bride is a good one off. Id say Princess Bride first though

Natalie Gold
>>41131116

How did I get through life without seeing Star Wars? 🤷🏻‍♀️ haha I just didn’t watch a lot of movies in general growing up

James V

The Abyss Special Edition :)

VProductions

Hopefully when you do the MCU you don’t leave too big a gap between them seeing as they are all connected like a supersized TV series. Maybe 1 a week or something?

Ron

Natalie, love your reactions! Here are a few movies I'd like add for your consideration: * Arrival (2016) * Brazil (1985) * Edge of Tomorrow (2014) * Children of Men (2006) A bit lighter in tone: * Time After Time (1979) * Brainstorm (1983) Since you've already seen Alien and Aliens, this one should be easy... ;) j/k * The Thing (1982) -- (maybe watch this during the day)

wallace cady
>>41138254

I told her to watch the Thing prequel first, so she could be screaming at the screen to "Dont go in there! No!"

Gath Bard

Adding to the list (only if you haven't seen them already): "Big Trouble in Little China" "Gremlins" "Frankenstein Jr" "When Harry Met Sally"

Erik Lundmark

"Somewhere in Time" (1980 - Christopher Reeve) "Brazil" (1985) "Ninth Gate" (1999)

Alan Kobb

These are all good options, but I'm not a big fan of rewatch reactions. Actually, if you're going to watch the Iron man movies, you may want to go with the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe and start in order with The Hulk, but your call... Actually Hulk is not considered part of the MCU technically, but that is more due to business arrangements than for any other reason.

Anonymous

Iron Man and Batman Begins would be my top choices. The Matrix would make for a fun reaction, but I would recommend stopping after the first Matrix.

Ray Dizon

These are all good options. Princess Bride is a fun one off, but I'm not a big fan of rewatches if you've already seen it. The first matrix movie is amazing. The Dark Knight trilogy, beginning with Batman Begins is awesome aswell. And than there is Iron Man, leading into the MCU. Would be awesome to see you react to one of my favorite movie franchises. So yeah, all good options here... hard to pick one :'D

PickettsChargingPort

Tough choices. Would have gone Princess Bride if you had never seen it.

TinaKittenIsBae

Hi Natalie. I voted for Batman Begins, because I believe that if you start watching the MCU with us you should go phase by phase (look up what the MCU phases are on wikipedia). So you can watch phase 1 like you did with SW or LOTR, then watch a few other things, then do phase 2, etc. I think that would be the best way to do it

CyrusB

Would've enjoyed seeing any of them, but very happy to see Matrix currently leading

Anonymous

Even if The Matrix doesn't win, you should watch it in your free time or something. Amazing and iconic movie.

Jiří Svašek

How about Batman with Jack Nicholson? Just a suggestion for the future.

Luis Rodriguez

New Matrix movie coming out soon, good time to get familiar with the story. The first one is the best one by far.

Anonymous

Your videos have been pure joy! Watching your reaction to the first Star Wars, I thought to myself, this is why I love movies and the emotions that they elicit!

Jack the Narrator
>>41149475

I'm assuming you're talking about the 2003 Eric Bana HULK and not the 2008 Edward Norton INCREDIBLE HULK.

Allan Rumberger
>>41157437

100%. You get everything you need from the first Matrix, which is a perfectly fine standalone movie. The sequels are less-loved for a reason.

Richard Maurer

Iron Man, then the rest of the MCU (I hope).

Tom Fehr

Matrix would be an AWESOME reaction. also MCU movies would be good too

Fraser

Why do I sense an entire MCU rewatch is in the offing? would be great to watch someone experience it all for the first time

David of the North

I really don't need to see another MCU watch fest. Someone mentioned the 1989 Batman. This I would vote for. As well as Christopher Reeve's Superman or Marvel's Blade or The Crow. The start of the superhero films to a young person willing to delve into the past is more appealing to me. I voted Matrix. It was a game changer.

wallace cady
>>41178177

That could be fun, if she hasn't seen them. Kind of go Old School first. Batman 89, Supermean 1 and 2 and Batman Returns.

Garrick Smalley

Voted Matrix. I would love to see a compare and contrast of Superman 1 & Superman Returns (or Man of Steel). Tossing in my hat for The Dark Crystal.

Nathan

If you're intent on seeing superhero films (not always my personal cup of tea, but a lot of people like them), Iron Man has some comedy and doesn't take itself quite so seriously (while both the Matrix and Batman Begins are relentless dramas that both take themselves very seriously.) (Would've said Princess Bride hands down if you hadn't seen it. But plenty of good films out there that would likely be first time views.) Good luck deciding!

Richard Ryan

There's a 6 minute youtube done by FXItInPost called SC 38 Reimagined. The Vader/Kenobi fight scene from A New Hope has not aged well and this is a little something to help give it some punch. You might need a tissue. I have spoken. :)

Nathan Fares

would like to make a suggestion....Maybe, do a Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure reaction. Since the 3rd movie is coming out in September.

swoop_13-37

I'd be interested to know what type of twist movies you have or haven't seen. or if you already know the plot twists. fight club shutter island the usual suspects Memento se7en secret window The Departed and I assume you already know the plot twist in the sixth sense.

MotoDork

I’m glad to see The Matrix winning though.

Bill Bell

Matrix will be amazing!! :)

Natalie Gold
>>41203992

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ve seen fight club and the usual suspects. I’m not sure if I know the sixth sense plot twist or not haha. I feel like I may have heard something about it years ago

WeiszGuy

Would love to see your reaction to Princess Bride, but since you've already seen it, you may already know some of the jokes. So I voted for Matrix, because it's definitely worth a watch.

WeiszGuy
>>41203992

While I think Sixth Sense is a great one, the fact that you know there's a twist will have you looking for a twist and you may figure it out pretty early on. I was lucky in that I had no idea the first time I saw it, so it worked perfectly on me.

Daniel Green
>>41191785

Yes. It would be a great little reaction for Natalie to do, given that SC38 only goes for a few minutes.

swoop_13-37
>>41203992

I plot twists subgenre would be pretty cool. Always looking to share those kinda movies with friends. And the eye openings are so good.

CGuerrero

Cabin in the Woods is another great one if you like twists

Alex Vazquez

I recommend you complete any of the series you begin rather than hopping around on a whim. When exploring cinema, it's highly rewarding to thoroughly study a genre or an actor's filmography or a director's filmography. I know you said in your live stream that you lost interest in Alien 3 because you learned what happens at the beginning but it's the rest of the film that counts! It's a trilogy and just because the last installment is dark doesn't make it disposable. Even if you dislike it, you should JUDGE for yourself BY COMPLETING THE JOURNEY. Many people don't like Matrix 2 and 3. That doesn't mean you should abandon the series after you've seen the popular installment! Complete the trilogy and DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS. People may unsubscribe but just as many will stick around particularly if you distinguish yourself by being a completist because you will be reacting to films that are not the usual bill of fare and demonstrating a thorough interest in the franchise. Based on your commentary, you are highly intelligent so you definitely appreciate that deep knowledge is much more useful than superficial knowledge. Plumb each franchise to the bottom and then move on to the next. You will stand out!

Groundhog day with Bill Murray. For the health of your immortal soul you have to watch this movie, first time me and my brother watched this years ago we both struggled to breathe we laughed so hard. It is a timeless classic with the Murracane. Be Golden.

Saf

Life of Brian! It's probably my favorite comedy of all time. I like it a lot more than Holy Grail.

Tom Tomlinson

Have you seen one of my personal favorites---Last of the Mohicans ?? by Michael Mann with Daniel Day Lewis. Was curious your opinion of it. thanks.

Max du Coudray
>>41626667

My mother loved this movie so much when it came out that she saw it in the theater at least once a week for three months!

Chris Meagher

[In regards to Iron Man] Just a suggestion Nat, I recently watched the Marvel movies for the first time and the majority of the films are not sequels in the traditional sense. I would recommend doing them from start to finish like you did Star Wars. There are guides online for viewing them in chronological order. :)

Race Jenkins

Hey, I love your reaction videos! I'd love it if you did a reaction Peewee's Big Adventure. It's an 80's "kids movie", but I'm sure it's caused more than its fair share of nightmares in children lol. I can't find anybody who has reacted to it, which is sad because it's my all-time favorite comedy. It's co-written by Phil Hartman, and it's Tim Burton's feature-length directorial debut. It's bizarre! It's hilarious! It has an incredible score! Please put it on your list if you haven't seen it.
