Looks like I’ll have another 2-hour gap in my teleworking hours today.

JediLounger

I really like this movie. I found it to be the perfect follow-up to the absolutely awesome but emotionally exhausting Infinity War, which was clearly the point. I will watch the reaction later, but it is clear you enjoyed it as well.

Andy Jordan

Looking forward to this one a lot. I think the Ant-Man films are underappreciated within the MCU. They masquerade as family/heist films, but they rank with the best of them for me, and I think they're just wonderful. They're also the only MCU series where the star is also a co-writer, as Paul Rudd co-writes the screenplays. Also, Laurence Fishburne is the only actor to appear in films for both the MCU and DCEU: he plays Bill Foster here, and Perry White in the DCEU. Captain Marvel, Endgame, Far From Home, and then you're all caught up, film-wise. Good going, Nat! As always, thanks for the smiles. Cheers!

Axel Dietze

Thanks for including the timestamp <3

The_Morichi

I was looking forward to this one. I'm already hyped to watch it with you tonight❤

Ian

Been Looking forward to this all day I know we are in for some Nat laughter 💛

Acash33

Finally we get Janet the First Lady of the avengers.

Michael Robbins Art

A really cool detail is that in the marvel intro, the heroes that were snapped by Thanos are missing

Dan Crucy

Now that you're nearing the end of the Marvel movies, I'm wondering if you'd have any interest in checking out some of Clint Eastwood's large filmography. I'd love to see you react to movies like Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby, or Grand Torino.

Matthew Calleja

Endgame Spoiler warning. DO NOT READ BEFORE WATCHING ENDGAME! "I have a feeling we'll go back in time in this one, that just makes more sense" Oh you have no idea how right you are.

Randee Carreno

Happy Marvel Monday, Natalie! 😊 I like that you added the time stamp. I've never read the book of "The Fault in our Stars". However, Scott Lang is me every time I watch that movie. LOL! I love the first Ant-Man movie, but this one is my favorite of the two. Your reaction to that first end credit scene was exactly like mine when I first saw this movie. Up Next: Captain Marvel! Also, I'm happy that the "Avengers: Infinity War" YouTube video looks to be a two parter. Have a great day! 😊 Until the next video, Stay Golden! 💛

Ian

Totally forgot hannah John-kamen (ghost) was in this 🙂 I loved her in the series killjoys and more recently in the stranger. Your nose blowing was not an issue Nat you can't help it where allergies are concerned I can relate with u there 🤧 gotta thank you for a fun marvel Monday that was a lot of fun the ringtone of the smiths was great what a band they were btw

Valar Dohaeris

If you admit the advise, this is how I would do the timer thing. Assuming you are recording your camera on the same computer 1080p and if your screen supports more resolution, I would record the camera footage with OSD but at a bigger resolution (1440k or even 4k) then you can get a program that can zoom some part of your screen to another window and put that into your OSD scene, so you record with your camera footage the time-stamp of the movie... This might vary depending on the source for each specific movie/episode, but I'm sure there are options... It you would like me to enter in more detail, just let me know and I can create a YouTube video or something about it (if you use PC, because if it's Mac I can't help there)...

cartoonrobot

I don't know all of the details, but as far as measuring how tall he grew you're right that nobody was there measuring. But I am fairly positive that this super technologically advanced suit that allows people to grow into Giants and shrink to subatomic levels probably stores information like how tall or small you got. It's probably necessary so that the system knows how to put you back at your original size.

cartoonrobot

😂😂😂 oh you better hurry okay life or death situations, and of course Nat is concerned that Cassie might not be able to do show and tell. 😂

James Leighton

My favourite thing about this movie is Paul Rudd actually learned the card tricks he does so they wouldn't have to use a hand double

Ilsuk Yang

So, the cop that's with Judy Greer's character is named Paxton. Also, did you catch the giant duracell battery powering the lab? And that Scott's ringtone for Luis is a Morissey song? Anyways, enjoyed your reaction as always!

Darryl Low

Hope you had a great weekend Nat. This movie has so many great moments and I had a lot of fun watching it along with you as you laughed your way through it. You had Ant Man, The Wasp and you had your "Bee" Villain 😄 And I loved your Rocky Horror reversal when you shouted "They just want to get Janet, dammit!" Very funny Nat. The winding street in San Francisco is Lombard Street. I've walked down there too! You almost made it right through without getting stressed out. Thanks for a great video Nat 💛

Ulrich Unterbrunner

I love the timer. I usually watch the reactions while torturing my treadmill and myself into almost oblivion. And this helps me at every break when going to the bathroom, refilling my drink or just stop at halftime to continue watching the next day or when wife and/or child require attention. So I don't have to find the matching blur to the time index in the movie.

Calo Grsf

Thanks for the reaction Nat 😄! I love it when every time the music appears in every movie you radiate good moods, but you almost beat your record after 2 minutes you had the tears ready to flow 😆 I like it when Paul Rud has to play Janet, it's just too funny haha, and the movie is funnier than the first one, I agree And you have to admit that the ants we see are just cute haha 🐜 But having insect powers and communicating with them would be so great, I find them so scientifically superior and useful for nature haha (I know, my passion for animals includes even insects and other bugs that go with them haha no discrimination in my house 😁) And yeah Ghost is a cool character 👻 I hope you're fine, be safe, take care and stay golden 💛

Wex
>>58544211

I thought about Rocky Horror too when she shouted that. We’ll see if the editor does anything with that in the YouTube cut.

Matt Culture

The Stan Lee cameo, he said he delt with that stuff in the 60's, he was talking about Bad Trips from Acid, etc. due to the car dissapearing

Ulrich Unterbrunner
>>58543835

This is the only issue I have with shrinking and upsizing. You cannot shrink and upsize energy, because the number of atoms stay the same, thus the energy equivalent. So no matter how much you enlarge a 1.5V battery, it will never have more power. Same with Ant Mans strength when sized up. He should actually be way weaker, as his 110lb punch is now spread over a fist the size of a truck. But it does create funny set optics :)

Thomas Malley

You should get yourself a good air filter. Like Molekule or other ones do the same thing. Has helped a lot with my allergies. Also you didn't even pause it once haha, but the timer was still helpful. Fun watching this alongside you :)

BNJ

wow, that's a lot of snot 🤣

Jomero

Having a real-time time-stamp is so, so, EXTREMELY helpful. It is very much a chore trying to re-sync in the middle of a watch-along if I accidentally close a window or bump something or whatever. And even when it's close, I have to watch for camera-cuts or obvious big movements to know how much I am off-sync or not because of the blurred video. I can't speak to whether I like the idea of you pausing or not, since I'd have to experience a few times to have an opinion (and Blade Runner doesn't really count since you only paused once). But having a time-stamp would very much help that. Regardless of where you land on the Pause Debate, I hope you keep the time stamp.

Thomas Malley
>>58548027

she was pretty good at leaning away from the mic when she was blowing her nose. it didn't even really bother me, her engagement in this film was so infectious I didn't even care.

Anonymous

I love the timer but not crazy about the idea of stop starting for sync reasons and breaking up the flow of the movie. I'd love if maybe you included those pause breaks to explain your feelings in the YouTube cut so you can expand on your feelings there without interrupting the flow and causing people to resync. But that's just my feel on it, do what you feel is best, and awesome reaction to this one :)

Sebastian Serafin

i love marvel monday normaly i hate mondays but u save every freaking monday for me thank you for this <3

Lucius De Fer

I just can't wait to see you watch those movies, i assure you that you are going to enjoy then lots ^^

Opti_Frog

I feel like the Ant-Man movies are the closest thing to 80s adventure comedies.

Nic Benham

This series ties second place with Gotg after Avengers for me

JerME

I thought captain marvel was next up after Infinity war or am I remembering wrong?

lastboyscout73

I don't do social media but I'm glad you possibly read these comments. I'm sure I wasn't the only one to tell you to watch Antman and The Wasp/Captain Marvel before you watched Endgame. Although the trailers for Captain Marvel clued people in on the time line, I won't spoil it if you want to know nothing going in. Thanks for another watch along.

Reece Hart

Honestly after Infinity War I was really happy that this was the next movie in the series. Granted everyone wanted Endgame straight away but the laughs this movie bought were kind of needed. It's one of my favourite of the MCU films. Sorry about your allergies too Nat, I get them pretty bad too during spring so I share your pain.

Troy B.

1. I feel your pain on the allergy front. Mine were so bad I ended up giving up my dog to my parents. Kinda regret that in hindsight. 2. I LOVE THE TIMESTAMP. Makes it SO much easier, especially if I need to come back to it later, I can just watch up to the 43-minute mark, close everything, and then come back and start it again at the 43-minute mark. (I guess technically I could have done that with the actual video timer, but...) 3. Unrelated, but I would avoid as many YouTube comments on Infinity War as possible; I just browsed a handful and people are dropping all sorts of hints about things you haven't seen yet, and it kinda ticks me off. I thought we had an understood agreement, Marvel fans! >=T (Edit To Add: And I know that the existence of certain sequels and TV shows and whatnot are potentially a form of "spoiler", but without context there's no way of knowing if they're prequels or whatever else. It's only when people say "just wait 'til you see [very specific thing in response to comment]" that I think it's too much of a hint.)

This_Jedi_crafts

Just love watching Nat run the range of emotions with these films!

acidnova
>>58550094

How would she do it on youtube and not this? Record two separate reactions? Youtube is already chopped up to only show 10 min of the movie so yeah a break doesn't matter but she's using the stuff she records for these reactions.

weirdTangent

Oh, unrelated, but would like to see _The Witch_ with Ana Taylor Joy added to your list... Oh, uh, it's disturbing, but Ana is _so_ good at such a young age! Also, some of the dialog is supposedly taken right from period journals.

Josh The Bard
>>58540939

Hope getting shot at. Nataly and Sunny in unison "Not the turn of the century chandler!"

Josh The Bard

This movies made Scott one of my favorite super heroes. He is one of the only heroes who doesn't have a personal connection to any of his villains. He gets involved because he just wants to help people and most of the problems in the movie happen because he's trying to help everyone at once. 1. He wants to serve out the last few days of his sentence so he can stay out of jail and be a part of Cassey's life. 2. He want's to help his friends run their business so the can have non-crime jobs and they can stay out of jail. 3. He wants to help Hank and Hope rescue Janet from the quantum realm. He could have done one or even two of those things no problem but because he tried to do all three everything almost goes wrong.

Joe Blankenship

The only thing that bugs me about this movie is that Hank's quantum trip is only supposed to take 15 minutes and Ghost couldn't just hang back until they were finished. Like you can't wait 15 minutes and maybe have another quantum expert to help fix you?

Ben Burnhill

Yes! tardigrades = water bears

Steven Hok

The time stamp is great! Not sure how I feel about the pausing yet so we'll see once you start doing it. And as always, great reaction!

Doug Watson

My favorite Stan Lee scene. In the 60's, drugs were everywhere. Nuff Said

Doug Watson

Janet must have been down there a long time, she forgot her own husbands name.

Doug Watson

I kinda figured you wouldn't notice Janet calling Hank "Henry"

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

The bit about Chicanos and Morrissey had me rolling. I love Michael Peña in these movies, and in 30 Seconds or Less. The humor in Marvel movies is I think what makes them more successful than DC, they don't take themselves too too seriously and that makes for a more entertaining experience.

Jordan Harpst

forgot about the Baba Yaga reference in this movie...now I feel obligated to ask if you've seen John Wick

Natalie Gold
>>58546915

I have two air filters 😅 I’m just a bad product of my genes. If we lived like cave people I’d have died of allergies by now or somethin

Matthew Periolat

I’d forgive you for the allergies, but there is nothing to forgive since it can’t be helped. Your reaction jives very well with mine. I love this movie, better than the first. And yes, very much needed after Infinity War! Two things: so, you like Agent Woo, huh? Noted. Second, your reaction mirrored mine with Cassie beaming over her dad. That grin is seriously one of my favorite moments in any Marvel. How you know, in spite of his mistakes, Scott has done right by Cassie. You’ll see on Captain Marvel and how it fits. Me? I can see Endgame getting very big on the horizon and my grin is ten miles wide. I cannot wait. Well, I can wait, I mean I have to wait two weeks, I mean I can’t wait... but I can wait. I think. Still Golden.

Matthew Periolat
>>58567043

“Hank” is a nickname for Henry, like “Jack” is for John. Henry Pym is the character name.

Garren Haskell

Wow that was a lot better than I thought. Isn't this one of the Marvels that people just totally hated? I thought it was great!

Randy Gibbons

I loved your confused look at Stan Lee's bit about the 60's, but then later made a comment about how this movie and Doctor Strange looked like an LSD trip, since they're both related!

Anonymous

Glad that you watched the stylized portion of the credits. I always love them. And I know it's been said in past posts, but it bears repeating: do the same for Endgame!

Jon Hoover
>>58556043

I don't know anyone who wanted Endgame immediately. She has to watch Antman and Captain Marvel first, or Endgame doesn't make sense.

Jesse Arnold

Last year during quarantine I had my Mom watch all the MCU movies she hadn't seen with me (via synchronized viewing on Disney+) after she moved to Florida. I had her watch this before Infinity War, just to see how she'd react to the "dusting" at the end, since she had no context for what it was. It really hit her what happened here, when she got to that scene in Infinity War. I'm really looking forward to how you react to Captain Marvel. She's one of my favorite Marvel Comics characters. And after watching many of your reactions, I can kinda guess how your over all feeling is going to be...I really don't know how you're gonna go with Captain Marvel. That said, another enjoyable reaction!

Donovan Sparks

You have to have a little eye-roll when it comes to the shrinking buildings and stuff. Yeah, there was a battery supposedly powering the office building. But like someone said already, it doesn't change the voltage... if it did, then when the vehicles shrunk down, they wouldn't be able to run with batter/alternator voltage... they would just stall out. Also... how does the office building/house get running water? Nobody ever uses the bathroom, I suppose. lol Anyway, another great reaction, Nat. Can't wait for tomorrow's AGoT episode! :)

—thoughtstorms—Keith—
>>58572794

I noticed that too - with delight. Nat said she's "not that smart" --- but we know better. She catches things on first viewing - while running a channel - that i missed 2nd\3rd time around. (And i'm borderline intelligent, i think.) (C8

—thoughtstorms—Keith—
>>58556306

Truth. The spoilers are everywhere. People don't give anyone time to catch up anymore. And i know i'm consuming MCU asap to avoid them. Paradigm=Shifted, i suppose, Watching along with Natalie is the best way to re-watch all of this. (C8

Lucifer Moon

I am so excited for Captain Marvel.

Tranquil_Gnome

Walton Goggins! (The B-bad guy) He is so good. I know we have a while with GoT but if you want another fun (in a messed up way) series, Justifed would be a good option. Goggins plays a big part in that.

Yani Dodge

I can't believe we're so close to being caught up to the MCU! Can't wait for these next few movies, I hope you're off the internet for the next few weeks so you stay spoiler free. Thank you so much for taking the plunge into the MCU and bringing us with you. :) Staying golden, see you next Monday!

Joseph

When does one know when it's bedtime at the Neverland Ranch...?

Brandon Scott

I’m sure someone else has said something because I am equally sure that there is nothing spoilery about the fact that Captain Marvel is set in the mid-90’s. It’s in my top five MCU movies which seems to put me in the minority. I really hope you can see what I do in it.

Pennie

Just posting to voice my vote of please don't pause when watching! I really hate having to resync or readjust; it kinda ruins it for me. Anyway, love your reactions!

Randy Gibbons

BTW, In Stan Lee's cameo, he thinks he's having a "flashback". It's when someone who was a HEAVY hullucinigetic user in the past, will later in life have random hallucinations or "flashbacks" even if they are straight/sober at the time.

Ben Gilshenan

hey nat, just so you can really understand that last endcredit scene the begining shows alarms and the state of emergency on the TV, it show that the world is in chaos with 50% of all life vanishing

archie castillo

Nat: "I just would like a break! (from crying)" Ant-Man & The Wasp: "Hold my Mango Fruit Blast..."

Steven Kuit
>>58572191

Even the weakest MCU entries are still decent films, it's mostly just in comparison to all the other ones.

john collins

the "60's were great but now i'm paying for it" line was a reference to the after effects of using LSD as it is contained within the spine after use and remains long after. This makes it far more dangerous than most people who use it for recreation realize as something as simple as cracking your back could trigger a "trip" some of the more serious cases have had people stuck in a permanent state of hallucinations.

MotoDork

"He's fucking HUGE!!" I never hear this

Ethan Plumer

I like The Fault in our Stars, and I like your videos... do I have good taste? or bad taste?

Thomas Malley
>>58550445

I'm so excited for the next two (well really the one two weeks away) that I can't even breathe.

ropecrewman36

Hello! I finally joined (sorry for taking so long)! I just came from your IW reaction where (in response to everyone's death) you said "I just don't see...any...hope..." My immediate thoughts were "Don't worry! You'll see plenty of Hope real soon! She actually gets her own movie!"

Richard

Don’t know if it’s been said, but the magic will eventually tie in but not in the way you’d expect and not until much later!

thescourge

Huge thumbs up on the timer and totally support you pausing for lengthy commentary!

Anonymous

FYI: i hate the timer. I had no problem syncing up with your videos.

Anonymous

Hey Nat! I've been a subscriber on youtube for a while and finally now I'm able to show my support on your Patreon 😊. I've had a great time watching your reactions and going on this Marvel journey with you. (also I love the intro song in your videos and I dance to it every time, lol) Stay Golden!!!

Kris Webb

"What the hell!? What the hell!? What the hell!? What the hell!?" Natalie, you make movie-viewing a lot more when fun when I've seen the movie before! What is it like to be in the room with you when you're watching a movie? Heck, what's it like to be the audience in the movie theatre when you're watching a movie? I can't wait to see your reaction to Endgame. I feel that certain that you are going to both cry and cheer. Note: finish watching the actor's end credits before you jump to the end. And there's no scene at the very end, just a tiny, tiny easter egg.

G. T. Blackwell

You should watch Justified. Walton Goggins is so good in that.

Joseph C Gdaniec

I would agree with Marvel recently leaning into this Villain A and Villain B thing. The one thing I have noticed is that they also tend to let Villain B survive to become a bigger issue for either the same or different heroes later down the line as well.

Joseph C Gdaniec

Also the implication is that her being in the Quantum realm so long changed her body and she basically feeds off of and absorbs Quantum energy to survive
