I'm having a lot of fun with these! Hope you are too! :) Which sci-fi show should make it to the final poll?

Will Godar

Battlestar Galactica would be amazing! But it looks like there are a bunch of Stranger Things fans. Season.1 is great but after that... yikes.

PickettsChargingPort

For me, anyway, these are all good except Severance. I haven't seen that one.

Daniel Vezina

Orphan Black is a crimaly underrated show. Tatiana Maslany (She-Hulk) plays at least 6 different version of a clone.

Kraackin

Expanse by far the best scifi here so space adventure here. Battler star is legendary as well, but I really really liked expanse

Saifu

Such a shame that Severance is getting so little love...I would also recommend "For All Mankind" as well.

Sonia Deepak

I know it's not on the poll but I'm going to just suggest Farscape b/c it's a lot of fun

John Hoffler Jr.

Ugh. Stranger Things after season one is so overrated.

DaftBasterd

The Expanse is super underrated but Stranger Things always wins because it's more known. If more people gave The Expanse a fair shot (first 4 episodes imo), they'd be shocked at how good it is, and continues to get as the seasons progress. Hopefully one day Nat will watch it!

Logan Kerlee

lol, it's no surprise to see Stranger Things on top, but I'm still disappointed that it is. The show's quality, it's just predictable is all. I'll enjoy watching your reaction to it, I'm sure.

Joits

It might be awhile, but damn I hope she gets to see Severance... what an amazing show.

LightsCameraJake

This poll results so far only tell me one thing... Yall have NOT seen enough sci fi to understand good sci fi.

REDR58

All good choices but Severance is the best thing to get into right now.

Siti Dee

Aw, no Doctor Who? :( I've been meaning to check out Severance, so it has my vote. If it wins, i'll definitely be watching it along with you! But it looks like it has no chance of winning tho :/

Siti Dee

Anyways! Hopefully a poll for comedy is next! And Our Flag Means Death will be one of the options 🥺🙏🤞

K.N.

Just want to mention that I've seen the entirety of every show on this poll...and I voted Severance.

Jayson Phillips

Well Westworld is 3 seasons, Battlestar Galactia is 1 mini series and 3 seasons, Stranger things is 3 seasons, The Expanse is 5 seasons long. So if you watch it your loking at a longer watch time than Avatar,

Philip Davetas

Wasn't a huge fan of the BSG of 04. First two seasons are decent and then everything just degrades into just angry people yelling at each other until the end.

JackRan only if JackChased

BSG is top notch imo. Sure it has issues like anything else but it's magic is foundational. Shows like expanse have direct Lineage to battlestar Galactica. It changed science fiction with its storytelling And really never gets enough credit. Always am disappointed when it fails these poles.

cosmic wave

Actually would consider Star Trek Strange New Worlds (as it is currently being released). I heard it always was difficult to know where to start with the franchise - the fresh SNW is the first thing you actually might show to anyone to say "See, this is Star Trek!"

Cripkie

hell yeah, im back in. Didnt stop subbing tho. I feel its a bit rude to unsub when its not your jam. Life is cyclical.

Cripkie

battlestar and the expanse have seasons with legs imo. westword has a brilliant 1st.

Kevin

westworld!!! its so good and mindbending

Edward Rahardjo

The final poll is shaping up to be all Netflix shows. Animated: Arcane, Superhero: Daredevil, Sci-Fi: Stranger Things. I wonder what the last category will be? Crime? Drama? Comedy? Horror?

Martin7777

To everyone who has voted for Stranger Things because they have seen it and like it, but haven't seen Westworld, this is my HUMBLE request for you to reconsider. 🥰 Westworld season one is a masterpiece. Co-Written and directed by the same person who wrote the Dark Knight trilogy, Jonathan Nolan. Christopher Nolan's brother. Also from Lisa Joy fellow genius. Shot on film, with no unnecessary CGI. It's a beefy HBO show with a beefy HBO budget, and hour long episodes like Game of Thrones. Brilliant performances from Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, and Jeffrey Wright (Commissioner Gordon). A great mystery / romance / revenge / thriller / western wrapped into one. The plot is about AI, identity, and delving deeper into 'the maze'... This show will 🤯BLOW🤯 natalie's mind. End of plea

Kenzi

i know that it will probably never happen because it’s a super long show but doctor who is always a good si fi show

Elmo

If you want variety, please check out Jojo Rabbit by Taika Waititi, with Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell :)

Caleb

thank god stranger things will likely win. i've been waiting to re-watch it

Camaro English

with westworld season 4 dropping soon i’d absolutely love the excuse to rewatch if with you but i understand wanting to catch up on stranger things too😫

Charles Hines

OMG, you gotta go Westworld first. Stranger Things is good but.... Westworld is so good.

akiro somp

stranger things is perfect as season 4 is dropping soon

Steve

would you skip season 1 and start with 2? reactors often think they've forgotten, but once you're watching, it's unlikely anything will really come as a surprise (it's not that complicated). would vote that way if starting at season 2 though.

Jackson K

It would be a good idea if you went ahead and watched all of the series that make it to the final poll, and the poll determines the order you watch them in

Travis

Not enough people have seen Severance yet for it to get the love it deserves

Maxwell Hunter

I wholeheartedly recommend Severance, if only as a brief detour before something like Stranger Things, Natalie. If anything but the simple fact that, much like Chernobyl, it was relatively short and sweet at 9 episodes, but also is incredibly high quality entertainment.

tezster

I hope that Natalie doesn't also equate the vote count to the quality of each show. BSG is frickin awesome (it won a Peabody award for frack's sake!) And to be honest, I feel that every series on this poll would be superior to Stranger Things to react to.

Ben Curran

Holy shit there is far too much GREAT Sci Fi stuff to watch!

Ashlee dima

Id really enjoy your reaction to a show like Twin Peaks!! a little scifi, a little murder mystery, a little thriller

Getoff Mylawn

Ron Moore should go to prison for the abomination he made out of Battlestar Galactica. TOS was spectacular in its straight forward and beautifully executed premise and he made an incoherent mishmash of bleak quasi existential vomit. It will shock all that I did not vote for it.

Josiah Truax

Based on the other things you've watched and enjoyed, I feel like you would REALLY like The Expanse! Especially the first four seasons!

Kraackin

Expanse is by far the best Scifi Space adventure here.

Edward Rahardjo

Anyone know if Natalie has seen Black Mirror? I can't find reaction video's on any episode, but I think she may have referred to it before.. Anyway would also recommend Black Mirror for next time

Tesh

So some context that might make you more interested in the Expanse, not only did they have physicists on hand to make sure it was as accurate as it could be (its still scifi after all lol) but the show's origin, the books, came about from a DND game, 1 group played for a bit, then the author of the books joined in a second game, and he loved the world so much he worked with the DM to make the story into the books, and now show. and because of this all the characters feel real, make decisions that are real and really make every single one important at different times. it grew past the dnd game obviously, but it kept that feeling throughout.

jim shields

Love BSG. It's a re-telling of the Exodus story of the Bible really. In a wild sci-fi way.

MertzRocks

Both The Expanse and Battlestar Galactica are excellent character driven shows. I voted for BSG bc it is more of an underdog in this poll and I love a good underdog. Also the only other show in the poll I have seen is Westworld and not much of it so it was between the two I really knew.

Edward Rahardjo

Fun thing about these polls, is that recommendations on series I haven't watched yet, are relevant to me as well. So I watched Severance, a show I probably would've skipped truthfully, but what I would have missed. Such a good first season, engaging, funny, thought provoking. Thanks to everyone for putting it up there! Really looking forward to season 2!

John Wiebel

obvious answer is ‘Westworld’ 🤠🤖 amazing cast, crazy story, deep themes, Ramin Djawadi doin the music & Christopher Nolan’s brother Jonah & his wife Lisa Joy are the show-runners. i really think you’d be hooked from the 1st episode

Alex Hardware

It's cool to see Westworld and the Expanse potentially come up as options for the future. They were/are both fantastic shows.

Martin7777

If the pilot episode of Westworld were a movie, it would probably be my favourite movie of that year. Shot on film, on location, Evan Rachel Wood, Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris

Jack Burton

I hope one day I get to see someone, hopefully Nat, react to The Expanse.

Peter Jones

I love the Expanse. It's the best hard science fiction show out now. The first couple of episodes are a slow burn, but it definitely builds momentum. Season 2+ are awesome.

Shawn E Mercado

I hope she watches the greatest movie of all time, Big Trouble in Little China. A heartfelt slice-of-life tale about a man trying to get his truck back.
