Happy Friday Nat. I'm always braced for any screaming coming my way 😊 I always enjoy your reactions when you are so into the movie that you're yelling all the time. It's so fun 😄 Hadn't seen this movie either Nat, and it was absolutely amazing. Thanks to Tyler for his suggestion, and you putting it in your poll. Thanks for an awesome video today Nat, and as always, thanks for all your amazing work this week. Have a brilliant weekend Nattie G 💛

Jose Nuño

One of my favorites. Definitely a mind trip

DDK

Woo! Pumped for this one, it's such a surprisingly entertaining sci-fi movie. Hope you do the Mission Impossible movies at some point too. Have a good weekend, Nat!

Randee Carreno

Happy Friday, Natalie! 😊 I haven't seen this movie yet. So, it'll be a first time watch for me as well. I did look up the cast list. And other than Tom Cruise, I noticed that Bill Paxton(RIP always) is also in this movie. He was a great actor. Looking forward to watching this reaction later this evening. Have a great day & weekend! 😊 Stay Golden! 💛

Joe Blankenship

Finally! I don't have Netflix and I'm waiting to watch Boba Fett before Obi Wan, so I haven't watched anything with you in a while.

Steve SG-1

Tom Cruise will probably die in space making the sequel but damn is he good at making movies. Such a solid movie.

Ty Rogers

Watch First Man with ryan gosling, its a cool movie which makes you feel happy and sad in a good way

Roook

Can't wait to watch this when I get off work. I love this movie but have only seen it a couple of times so a good time for a rewatch. I'm not the biggest Tom Cruise fan but he's great in this with a good character arc.

Ilsuk Yang

You really don't need to watch Boba Fett before Obi-Wan Kenobi. They're not related in the slightest except for the fact that they're both in Star Wars universe

Brian Jones

Great film. Been looking forward to this one. Shame Bill Paxton is no longer with us. He was originally slated to return for the sequel as well.

Marty McGee

What I like about Cruise's character in this film is he starts off as a complete noob. Typically in his action films he's already confident, capable, and even cocky about it.

Heliastein

Yeah don't wait for no reason.

Steve SG-1

Cage at beginning of movie is like Dark Souls level 1, at the end of the movie he's like Level 100 trying to do a no death run.😂

Alita

This one was kinda annoying to watch just because it was completely impossible to sync, my HBO Max version was 1h 48m long, yours was 1h 53m long, and it kept going out of sync even if I managed to sync it at one point

Nautilus1492

Hi Nat and thank you for this new reaction! 😄 I totally forgot how good this movie was, and watching you in a such mood and enjoying so much is always great! hahaha Laughs, tears, screams, the Nattie rollercoaster struck again ours ears 😂 I loved the ending, but sad we didn't see Ridley's little nose on screen (or even Koda hahaha)😆 Your new camera is doing a great job, the upgrade is more than enjoyable hahaha Can't wait for your next reaction ^^ I hope you're fine, take care, be safe and stay golden! 💛

Steve J

This is one of my go to movies for irl first-time-watching when people visit. Cabin in the Woods being the other. Both sound on paper like generic genre movies but turn out to be much greater than the sum of their parts.

Taff Lewis

Is it just me? Or does anybody else watch Nat's Openings as a "Rocky Horror" experience? Quoting favorite lines and responding out loud.

Harry Reece

I’ve been wanting to find time to rewatch this great film. Got a proper excuse now 😀

Darryl Low

I always shout out "Hey, Hi, How are Ya?" 😄

Logan Kerlee

I'm glad you reacted this way! xD I'm right there with you on all of what you were saying throughout. I loved the character growth and how everyone was most of the way through. Obviously certain characters were dicks until he proved himself - that's to be expected though with this type of thing. This is my favorite sort of sci fi scenario - being able to relive each day until you achieve success/perfection. There has to be a counter to it though, because we can't have immortal characters or have a character that's trapped like that. Just wouldn't go over well with audiences. xD This reaction turned out very well! Honestly, I didn't have any issues with levels at all. Great reaction, Natalie! :)

Logan Kerlee

I'm a big fan of Mission Impossible as well! Hoping that she considers adding it to a poll.

Logan Kerlee

I'm watching the trailer now and I'm sure that I'll enjoy the movie. Prolly going to watch it after the trailer ends. :P

Dmitrius

Thank you Nat!! This was awesome 🤩!!! Keep doing this amazing work!😁

Logan Kerlee

Yuuuuuuuuup, I'm watching the movie now. Holy fuck, it looks cool. I'm big into space stuff though, so I'm a bit biased.

Ty Rogers

Yeah its really good and underrated, I hope you enjoy! I feel you on the space stuff, and it being stuff that actually happened only makes it better :)

Danishprince

I had kinda forgotten how good this movie actually is! The reaction were amazing and the quality of the camera is so amazing :D

djKENTO

Doug Liman is such an interesting director. From Swingers to The Bourne Identity to Mr and Mrs Smith to this and then one of the WORST films I’ve ever seen, Chaos Walking…

LightsCameraJake

Tom cruise is great at two things. Running and yelling. I love him for it xD

Bou Sculpts

Weird that Natalie being such a fan of the Harry Potter franchise didn't recognize the actor playing the general, it's the same actor that plays Mad-Eye Moody :D Great reaction Nat! It's always a delight to experience this movie with someone that's watching it for the first time!

Curaitis

Came over from watching Prey (and it was really good) and now to this Gem. This is a good evening for watching sci-fi action movies.

Joe Blankenship

I know. I just wanna watch in the order it was released.

jamie jones

Loved this movie. Here’s some suggestions for movie reactions: inglourious basterds, hell or high water, django unchained, sicario, robocop 1+2, memento, the town.

Steve J

And a motorcycle

Darryl Low

Watched Prey earlier on today. It's an amazing movie 🤗

Jonathan Flick

Glad you enjoyed this movie. Loved Bill Paxton in this (RIP). He got the best lines.

Logan Kerlee

Yup, finished it a bit ago. Enjoyed the movie but I'm not too sure that normies would dig on it. I think my bias may be a bit too strong on this one.. but if Natalie thinks that she'd enjoy it - I'd happily give it a rewatch.

MightyHobo

I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I totally don't get the people who said this movie shouldn't have won the poll. It's so fun, dramatic, and badass. This was one of the most fun reactions I have watched on the channel. One of the best things about this movie is that it's a metaphor for the spiritual traveler being reincarnated over and over as in Hinduism which states "We are masters of our fate" just like the motto of J-squad. Cage starts his first life as a self serving coward only out for himself. He dies and is reincarnated as a "MAGGOT!" to try again. His journey is a movement through not just time but his own mental journey to being a selfless and courageous person. He comes through the crucible of his psychological journey to reach his nirvana in his afterlife once he dies a final time.

MightyHobo

Cabin in the Woods is THE movie to show to people who are jaded with horror movies. Always get's a proper good reaction.

Ilsuk Yang

Well, people have differing opinions. I agree with you, though, MightyHobo. I've always enjoyed this movie and regret not seeing it in theaters. Honestly, it somehow slipped my notice when it was in theaters and I only heard about it when it was about to be released on DVD/Blu-Ray. I've watched it a few times since then and enjoyed it each time

Philippe Dessaints

If you haven't seen much Tom Cruise movies you really owe it to yourself to watch some of them. His action movies are, in my opinion, some of the best out there by a mile. Especially the more recent mission impossible and of course, Top Gun !

Troy

I love the nods to Groundhog Day, including the fact that both protagonists are trying to impress (and are obsessed with) a woman named Rita.

Dave van der Kuyp

Funny thing this movie. Years ago I read one of my favorite manga’s (japanese comic). It was about a young soldier having to relive the same day in a bloody war for the survival of mankind. Then I saw the trailer for this movie. And I was like ‘what..? This looks familiar. If they Americanized the novel the manga was based on they better not fuck it up’. And they didn’t. A great adaptation to this format. The manga has no comedy and is more about the psychological struggles of that soldier. Where he goes from naive young boy to a jaded traumatized man. It’s called ‘All you need is kill.’ I’m so curious about reading that original novel now.

Marty McGee

Yeah this is just a pure fun movie! Adrenaline rush action, good humor, a love story that's not overplayed, time travel device that isn't so complicated, and finally great performances by Cruise, Blunt, and Paxton! What more can you ask for? As far as the sound, I think you were pretty on point with your settings for this one. Yes you screamed a lot (as per usual and we all know and love), but it never blasted through my headphones or got that distortion. Also, could hear you fine without having to max out the volume. Thanks for another great reaction! Hope you dive into some other Tom Cruise action flicks. Especially the others from your poll. Top Gun has some real 80's action cheese in it, but it's so much fun too. Mission: Impossible I think is one of the best action/spy/thriller franchises since Bond. And even better than Bond in a lot of respects.

joejud1017

This was great. Could not wait to watch this reaction. Such an underrated movie.. Since you asked, I'd like to suggest a few maybe you could put on one of your polls. Alita Battle Angel, Collateral, Ready Player One or Free Guy seem like movies that would be right up you and your viewers alley.

Marty McGee

Ha Ha! I never put that together. It's been awhile since I've seen Groundhog Day.

Andrew Minton

Nat: I think you'd really like Sicario (more Emily Blunt) and Memento best from this list, Memento is a really original concept done well.

Andrew Minton

This is one of my favorite movies, I'm SO glad you loved it as well. One of my favorites of your reactions, you made a great movie an even more fun rewatch. ❤️

Opticblasting3

is the speed off for anyone? sometimes hers outpaces mine even when syncing up perfectly

Taff Lewis

do you respond with "me? really me? nah..."

JarHead0351

Glad you enjoy this movie alot, for me it was as ok type movie. Can't wait to see what you pick next for us to watch.

Chris Gronau

Very fun reaction, and the everything looked great with the new camera.

Jason Dolan

This is the best video game movie ever made.

Michael G. Munz

This movie really is the best video game movie ever.

Michael G. Munz

I was watching on a DVD, and expected to be out of sync, but it was just fine for me.

Jason Dolan

What a pleasure it was to watch Tom Cruise's masterpiece with Natalie and for her to enjoy it as much as I enjoyed it the first time I saw it.

Thomas Richter

I have long curly hair and I have it long since I was 13, so more than halve of my life. And now I'm 31 and it's starting to fall and I feel so jealous of people with long hair.

Tesh

loved this movie, as others have said its inspired by "all you need is kill" but its still fantastic in its own right, sadly marketing killed the movie, not only did they market it poorly, they changed the name half way through marketing, hence why you will see "live die repeat" as its title some places, since producers thought edge of tomorrow was too vague.

Martin7777

You clearly haven't seen Super Mario Bros. (1993)

TreehouseOfJorge

This is one of my favorite action movies and I loved your reaction to it! Knew I was in for a doubley-good time!

Thomas Richter

You should watch Memento one of these days

Aaron

Glad you liked this one. I enjoyed The Binge.

NFXx

Glad you really enjoyed this film. It’s been years since I’ve seen it and watching it all over again really showed how great of a sci fi film it is. Like you mentioned at the end it’s got everything in it. The whole cast is great, RIP Bill Paxton. So I have something in mind that I’d suggest for a future poll of a category you haven’t done yet or maybe you have and must’ve missed it. I don’t even know if you’ll read this but I think I’d be interesting if you did a musical film. Some of the films I thought of like Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, Moulin Rouge!, Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny, and Sweeney Todd. Each of these films have different genres. So just something to think of if you read this.

Danishprince

In what world is this a video game movie? It's based on a book

sharmcant

In another universe, these two would have been our Iron Man and Black Widow. As always, love this reaction!

Troy

In a world where we can give light-hearted non-literal praise using metaphors we all understand regardless of something's factual origin.

Keith Jacobsen

Fun reaction Nat, and the audio sounded fine on my end.

Wu Sha Ling

this might be the best videogame movie, not adapted from an existing videogame

Jason Dolan

Thank you, Troy, lol, exactly

Jason Dolan

2014 was a good year for the Pax!

Luis R.

It was great to see how much you enjoyed this one!

Trung

I am loving the new camera quality!

Ana Fox

I love this movie! I had a lot of fun rewatching it with you. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! "The Adjustment Bureau" is a romance/thriller with Emily Blunt. I have a soft spot for it! Although, I remember little things making me laugh (unintentionally), like Matt Damon's silly hat.

crawlie

Such a cool and unique film, failed by the marketing department. New camera looks great, and was a joy to watch your engagement with the story in this one!

Saifu

Check out Tom Cruise's Oblivion. Another sci-fi that is also worth a watch imo.

Danishprince

She tends to stay away from musicals as they can be hard to reactions to due to the many songs and copyright - With musicals people wanna see the reaction to the songs and most of them would have to be cut out for a YT upload :)

Mastervodo

Hey Nat! Yes You! Hello you! Very fun reaction video. One of your best, I might say, because of the glee and surprise you had, especially during the first 1/3 of the movie! Great pick this week. Great video. Keep em' coming! Also - add Sandman to your list of series. Maybe - just maybe - move that one to the forefront and get ahead of the curve on what's new and trending right now? Just a thought. Sandman...... then Arcane!

Ulrich Unterbrunner

Sadly the pandemic made a sequel very doubtful at least. So I go with Cage not having retained the power as when the time was reset the Omega self destructed, when realizing it lost its ability and power, to prevent others (humans) from utilizing it furhter (basically a failsafe). Great reaction, very good movie, especially the action sequences are next level intense. Now I'd live, die and repeat for a "Master and Commander - The far side of the world"-reaction

Daniel Casillas

You should watch Sicario or Looper both are with Emily Blunt

adrianR31

This movie is so satisfying.

—thoughtstorms—keith—

I incorrectly believed I had seen this movie. So I rented it and watched it along with you and realized - nope! I really enjoyed it. Missing a Tom Cruise movie is one thing - but Emily Blunt?? I am sure I mentally conflated it with a few other movies. Anyway, glad you watched it, and glad I did too!

SilverWolf

Man, I saw this a long while ago, but it's so much better watching it again and getting to watch it with you! :D

SilverWolf

I thought that was him (Paxton)!

SilverWolf

Haha, yeah, i respond to her a lot when I'm watching a full reaction XD

SilverWolf

It took me a minute or two to figure out who that was!

SilverWolf

Yeah! The last few MI's have been really enjoyable and #3 I remember being so intense

SilverWolf

Ooh, I'd love to see reactions to Ready Player One or Free Guy! Haven't seen the other two but I'd be up for watching them with Nat :)

SilverWolf

I watched it on netflix and it was ok

SilverWolf

Also, another movie I love with robots and aliens is Pacific Rim! The music and effects in it are great and really enjoyable watch IMO

Danishprince

Agreed! Such a shame that the sequel didn't have the same quality to it

Fostena

I very much enjoyed rewatching this with you! It's been a while. Despite the weird, a bit nonsensical, happy ending, one of my favorite sci-fi action films. The dynamic between Cruise and Blunt is excellent, he is growing fond of her, while she stays the same. "I wish I had the chance to know you better" gets me every time

Byteheist

After this, I really think Nat would love Pacific Rim if she hasn't seen it!

archie castillo

Emily blunt movie... You CAN'T tell me you haven't watched the devil wears Prada??? I mean, yeah, secondary character, but still!

Jon B

I had to sign up here just to support Edge of Tomorrow!

Kit Thomas

Another great reaction - thanks Nat! Loved watching this gem with you, especially reliving with you the feelings I had when I first watched it!

Steve Karmesin

I thought this film didn't get nearly the attention it deserved. Whhile it is certainly true that Cruise is kind of intrinsically annoying, that plays really well into the setup of the plot here.

Jofus

I loved your reaction to this movie, watching it along with your video was so much fun, your reactions were incredible. Never apologize for the screaming.

Pirateman

Seeing how much you liked this, may I suggest "Oblivion"? Another Tom Cruise movie. Perhaps not on the level of excellence of this, but very very good.

SilverWolf

Oof, yeah, hit and a miss there...

Seth Wylie

I don’t think I would have watched this if not for Nat, and I am so glad I did. It was so great watching along. Such a great film

warcrimes

the ending is not nonsensical. When the Omega dies and Cages gets the blood, time flashes back 24 hours, which is when he arrived on the chopper in the first scene of the movie(after the intro). All the resetting muddles the time line but he always goes back 24 hours from his original "death". The Omega death resets his death "time".

Fostena

But he doesn't really reset, since in this past the aliens are defeated, his actions in the future influence the past. This mechanic is not explained, and is shown only in the end. Moreover is not necessary, save for giving us an happy ending. He could've died saving humanity, simple.

John Rando

Watched this a couple times when it came out. I’ve been waiting to watch it again. This was fun. A great reason to watch it again! So glad you loved it!
