Title says it all :)

Also, I know a lot of you folks suggested The Shining. I promise I'm not ignoring you. I've just seen it a few times so it's pretty familiar to me and I'm trying to stick to some new stuff only for this season.

Comments

Grigsy

have you reacted to the shining yet?

Grigsy

BTW, that was a joke. I did read your comment.

Darryl Low

Third time lucky for Halloween 🤞🎃

FateMalone

Wish it was halloween 2018

ISeeTrees ofGreen

OG halloween is a staple of spooky season you have to watch it

Mike Kraft

Please let Hereditary win A Quite Plce 2 was horrendous

Andy Bates

Natalie, I don’t know if you’re accepting write-ins, but Evil Dead 2 is far superior to the original. It’s basically a remake and a sequel all in one!

Dominik

I would love to watch Hereditary as I haven’t seen it myself and that way it won’t be as scary

Lawson

never seen hereditary but i’ve heard amazing things :)

2026-09-06 12:00 It: Chapter 2 is never gonna win, because it has a reputation for being bad, but I just want Nat to finish the story 😭 It’s been a year

Chief

Event Horizon - I hope that makes an appearance! It has held up over time, and such a cool concept.

LaynaVile

That's exactly what I'm thinking!

Andrew Zachman

You really need to watch a good werewolf movie. I would recommend either American Werewolf in London or Dog Soldiers!

Fostena

This one was tough. In the end I picked Hereditary because is the best movie of them all. Although Evil Dead and Halloween are such classics I kinda wanted to rewatch them. It Chapter 2 is skippable, Nat. Chapter 1 was great and it had all the good scenes

Patrick Egan

She's gotta see the original first, though.

Michael G. Munz

Skip Evil Dead and go straight to Evil Dead 2. It's more fun. Then see the original if curious.

FateMalone

True but would prob have to wait till next year to get it most likely

BigHeadWeb

You will NOT be okay if you watch Hereditary. *clicks ‘Hereditary’*

Patrick Egan

Definitely the original Halloween. It remains one of my favorite of the genre. Most of the pre-2018 sequels suck, but this current trilogy of sequels from Blumhouse has been very entertaining.

Daniel McGuinness

HAAAAS to be the original Halloween!! The lasting impact it had and still has on horror today is perfect! Hereditary is good but cmon 😭

Randee Carreno

Happy Wednesday & Happy Birthday, Natalie! 😊 Giving it another try for "IT: Chapter 2". LOL! Again if you don't get to that one during your Natmares, I hope that you will get to it eventually since you watched the other one already. Off to watch your new "Jessica Jones" reaction. 👍 Have a great day today! 😊 Stay Golden! 💛

SilentBobFather

Red State by Kevin Smith. (Not political) best horror/ thriller you haven't heard of.

Casey Walker

Voted for hereditary because it’ll make for a fantastic reaction (movie also slaps), but I’d love to see you watch Evil Dead as well.

Richard Maurer

Disagree. The first Evil Dead is a better straight up horror movie than ED2. Now if you said Evil Dead 2 is a better comedy horror I'd agree with you.

Jules 4 Fools

Looks like Hereditary is winning in the polls. Natalie better be prepared. When I watched this I had the jitters for weeks.

Walter Lopez

Anyone who is even remotely interested in watching Horror movies, they have to watch Hereditary. It will be very traumatizing. I apologize in advance.

Richard Maurer

It was down to Halloween and Hereditary for me. In the end I went with Halloween, because it's the iconic movie for the season.

Kyle Fletcher

All of these are good but Evil Dead, for me anyways, is the most entertaining and I think she'd get a kick out of it

Geeked Out Nation

Hereditary is not a great watch. It’s disturbing and She will not enjoy any bit of it. It would be a lot more of a fun reaction for Natalie to do Halloween or Evil Dead.

tezster

Finally, Hereditary is winning a poll 🙂

ㅋ

There’s no way hereditary loses this

Troy

All great choices! Picked Hereditary. Well written, tremendous production, insane acting abilities by the entire cast. Yeah, it is disturbing, but it is also a masterpiece of storytelling. Dark and disturbing storytelling sure, but a masterpiece nonetheless.

Andy Bates

Evil Dead is definitely more horror and the second one is more comedy. But Raimi’s directorial skills are much better in the second one, and I think it’s a better movie overall.

The Hedge Knight

I fear for Natalie. I have no interest in seeing Hereditary, on board for any of the others.

Paul G

I take it you mean the 1981 original Evil Dead, not the remake.

Danishprince

Why do the Patreons hate classic horrors :(

Peter Jones

I haven’t seen hereditary, but I might watch it if it wins. It is currently the official scariest movie of all time. According to several polls and some scientific data.

Daniel Andersen

Oh guess A Quiet Place 2 will have to wait for next year

Ben Wheeler

I voted for IT mainly to complete that storyline. Otherwise it’s OG Halloween for me.

Johan Sånesson

It's a seriously great movie. But it is a tough watch

calum1

Why are people voting for hereditary its such an average movie

Edgar

Lol, clearly

Danishprince

It's a scary one but that's about all it has

Ernesto

This is a good list of movies and I'm hoping for Halloween gets a view as that's my all time favorite

Rey

So pumped hereditary is in the lead

Jorge

Hereditary. L F G

Andrew Zachman

If you watch Evil Dead, watch the second one instead, first is basically a class project movie. Second one is the same director, same main character and same premise but with a better budget and production values. Not that the first one is bad, it isn't. It is actually very good, but I think you would enjoy the second more. Just my opinion, I'm sure others will disagree. Ps Hereditary is not scary in the classic sense, it is disturbing. I don't think you will like it. Again just my opinion.

Nathaniel Castle

I don’t think evil dead is gonna win but I think it would be a fantastic film to react to

Dan

Please add Arachnaphobia to a scary movie poll! It's a fantastic creepy crawly movie with great scares and great writing!

Jacketb

Happy Birthday!!!

Steve J

Yup, Evil Dead 2 they pretty much rebooted/remade their own movie

jamie jones

Just watch them all, that would be a great natmares

Randee Carreno

IT: Chapter 2 immediately got my vote. I'm really hoping that she'll watch it at some point. I really like that movie.

Brian Jones

Hereditary, hands down. Just based on performances alone. Toni Collette should have won an Oscar for that performance.

Joseph

Really want you to react to Bodies Bodies Bodies

Anonymous Groucho

I think it's the remake since she put "(original)" next to Halloween. Then again she may not be aware there was an Evil Dead remake. I just wish there was a "II" next to it.

Philippe Dessaints

I watch movies all the time and hereditary kinded fucked even me up. Can't imagine Nat getting through this one intact lol

Thomas Yanez

Also clicked for the same reason.

Thomas Yanez

It's disturbing, sure... but scariest of all time?

Ryan

That’s what makes it interesting

Mastervodo

Evil Dead because she knows and likes Sam Rami. Let's not traumatize Top Nugget with Hereditary, ya? But also - do Evil Dead 2. It's just flat out better in every way.

Myles Away

So glad to see Hereditary is winning.

Luck Dragon's Lair

Again, I say, watch IT part 2 (pretty pleeeeeeease) cause I'm waiting to watch part 1 till I know you watched both. Hehe.

Fostena

It's the improved version! :)

Alan Felicia

Gonna vote for Hereditary - Halloween OG is scary good but Hereditary gets the nod for Me since I haven't seen b/c I've read it on Wikipedia And, IMO, its a messed-up, Scary, Good movie! LOL! And with Nat's reaction, gonna be F'N Epic!

calum1

Look at the reviews, most people agree that its not good

Byron

These people are sadistic monsters.

Richard Maurer

Because they have no sense of history?

Brian Jones

Actually a really great call, but sadly that won't be making it on to any polls. Not that it would win even if it did.

SilentBobFather

And it is not available. And this is my problem with polls for reactions people will only vote for what they now, and creator can only react to what people want so they can get views. I understand that is the way it has to be, but there are so many hidden gems that will never be reacted to.

Travis

L take

Marquis keel

Vampires are synonymous wit zombies and mosters and its October 🤷🏽‍♂️

Adam Baker

First one was alright but all in all both films imo are very forgettable

Adam Baker

Evil Dead is dated and boring af. Evil Dead 2 has way more entertainment value.

Adam Baker

If you've watched any movie ever, including It, you know how It 2 ends. I say that 2+ hours is better spent watching a less forgettable film.

Adam Baker

Dated and boring imo, but I never was a fan of Halloween

Adam Baker

Hell no, those movies are dated and boring af. Hereditary is a popular, modern hit. I'm so glad it's winning! Nat will be okay.

Adam Baker

She'll be alright. It's a very good film worth experiencing at least once if you truly love horror or movies in general.

Adam Baker

Because they are dated and boring films that have been watched and discussed to death for decade after decade.

blkmage

I guess were picking the one that will leave her scared

The Hedge Knight

Love/hate relationship. Love movies, hate horror. I make an exception for horror-comedies.

Gerald Corona

Hey Nat. If you already saw The Shinning you must watch Doctor Sleep. Based on King's sequel. Staring Ewen McGregor. It's actually a very worthy continuation of the classic!

Jules

Thirded

Charlie's Illiteracy

Hi Nat, I recommend Triangle starring Melissa George. It's genuinely disturbing while not being a gorefest. It's stayed with me for years. Basically, it's what Hell might really be like. No lakes of fire or Pinhead people, just one sad, disturbed mother forced to confront her own guilt, and trying to erase her terrible mistake, endlessly.

Braulio Loera

Natalie aint ready for hereditary......

Dexter

As excited (and worried) as I am for Natalie to see Hereditary, I feel like it just makes more sense for her to finish the IT series. She's already aware of the characters and plot so it would be a better way to start the spooky season than to just flat out scare the wits out of her. IT Chapter 2 gets my vote

Philip Davetas

As much as I love the EVIL DEAD movies as a franchise, the first movie is not my favorite. Unless you commit to watching the entire movie and TV franchise, don't bother. But a lot of good ones here. But I have to go with HEREDITARY. But I think everyone here knows it's gonna jack you up nice and good.

Eric Janssen

Halloween is a good example of 20th-cty. horror (particularly from the mess-you-up 70's), from the days when the chief motivation for seeing a horror movie was to be "scared", not "psychologically disturbed, and teased with artistic metaphor".

Philip Davetas

It's not worth it if she doesn't watch the whole franchise. I think ED is for lovers of it all.

Rey

Fourthed

Letícia

oh god i'm gonna have to watch hereditary now

Letícia

i watched it with ur internet mom ash but it was her edited commentary and it was enough for me to be traumatized

xander

we love ash

Ryan

Not even with Nat would I watch this movie again, but I’m looking forward to the thumbnail.

Letícia

I'm seriously debating it

Olivia Carney

Does anyone know when stranger things will continue? :) I’m so excited for season 3 reaction!

JayyDTR

Pretty sure it will be todays video :)

JayyDTR

Hereditary is an excellently crafted movie with amazing performances, i'm sure she'll still enjoy many aspects of it despite the horror.

Ken

I watched Hereditary to be "scared." And it delivered.

Eric Janssen

Wait, you watched a horror movie to see HORROR? That’s not how Get Out, Midsommar and Mother! were supposed to work….

LionBro

A really good scary movie you should watch is Team America: World Police. It's scary...how good it is.

Ken

Get Out feels like an episode of Tales From the Crypt. It's got social commentary, sure, but it's also EC Comics mad scientist stuff. Not necessarily scary, but fun and suspenseful. Haven't seen Mother.

Kenzi

please you have to watch. IT chapter 2 it is a good conclusion to the story please!!!

Michael G. Munz

I ain't ready to watch it a second time, either.

Richard Maurer

Scariest of all time is like best movie of all time - just a matter of opinion.

Richard Flores

I think I was screaming to myself for two whole minutes when I realized Hereditary was on the list. I think that is the only movie I've seen that was too scary for me to finish watching. I wanted to vote for Halloween (one of my favorite movies ever) but this one, if I'm going to give myself emotional trauma, it might as well be in support of Nat. Hereditary all the way. Let's finish this.

Joshua Milus

I just voted for Hereditary. What have I done.

Tarquin Pillay

Hereditary is so good, its a masterpiece of a film.

MacGuffinStuff

You guys are dicks lol, she is gonna hate that movie, you know which one I'm talking about 😆 Is what it is though, and after all, it's just a movie, it's just a movie...

diego martinez

Hereditary is great, probably the better of Aster’s films, though I’d need to rewatch both to get a new opinion. Another recommendation similar to Hereditary: Darren Aronofsky’s best film Black Swan kind of reminds me of Ari Aster stylistically and thematically, especially when comparing it to Midsommar as a sort of surreal horrific portrayal of a coming-of-age story, though Black Swan definitely leans into the coming-of-age thing more blatantly. Other horror recs: David Lynch’s Eraserhead, maybe the ultimate modern surrealist film. The story is quite straightforward even though it is told with this extremely abstract imagery, and yet it is such an eerie & uncomfortable film from beginning to end; in what may be David Lynch’s most fully realized film from a world-building aspect. Nobuhiko Obayashi’s House, a cult classic film that takes popular culture in Japan at the time (the 70s) and cranks up the extremity to 11 with its absurd & hilarious storytelling, much of the story & imagery taken in large part from visions & dreams of the director’s 10 year old daughter.

Eric Janssen

I don't know why every review I read of Eraserhead can't seem to make head or tail of what to categorize it as, when Lynch's idea seemed pretty straightforward to me: It's LITERALLY the movie version of that last dream you had after the bad burrito, with the electric blanket on too high. (Or "Why most 'dream sequences' in movies never look like the ones you remember.") If that doesn't sound creepy, think whether you'd want to watch your own during daylight hours... And don't forget to check out Lynch homaging his idea in a memorable first-season episode of "Twin Peaks". And House (or "Hausu", to avoid confusion with the culty overlooked 1986 movie) is probably best summarized as "Horror movie as made by a Japanese TV commercial director"--If you think you know what to expect, you STILL don't know what to expect.

David Sumner

You gotta watch It: Chapter two to finish it off. Also the first Halloween is a classic.

Adam Doyle

If you end up liking Hereditary, please check out the directors' follow-up movie Midsommar. A very beautiful yet tense movie, but gruesome in some parts.

Richard Maurer

I'd Love for someone to react to Obayashi’s House (Hausu) while knowing how unlikely it is, Probably the best bet would be Cinema Rules, as they do some fairly obscure stuff sometimes. They just did Ringu instead of The Ring, unlike every other reactor.

Eric Trinidad

Honestly, I’m really nervous for Nat. She’s been a trooper but this one may do it. Next poll to have Human Centipede or Martyrs.

Richard Maurer

Why not add Cannibal Holocaust while you're at it. And I assume you're joking (you never know what some people will recommend).

Eric Trinidad

Yeah, I’m definitely joking here for sure. But even watching those, Hereditary still creeps me out. But I’m here to take that journey again.

Kev Martin

I'm keen to check out Hereditary as I haven't seen it. Haven't seen Halloween either (any of the bazillion versions), but I think there's a reason I've never gotten around to it after all these years. All those Jason/Mike Myers/etc flicks just don't do it for me - more likely to fall asleep than be scared. I must be missing the suspension of disbelief gene for that genre I think.

Kev Martin

Human Centipede is one of the worst films ever made - and not in a 'so bad it's good' way. Just plain bad.

Richard Maurer

I've seen some low budget horror movies that make HC look like fine art.

RebRox65

Let’s have a laugh with Evil Dead plus it will funny to watch Nat squirm at all the gore, (sorry Nat I love you really) 🙀👍

Nemo-the-Red

Have you seen Doctor Sleep? Sequel to The Shining done by Mike Flanagan (who did Haunting of Hill House/Bly Manor) and is a fantastic film, really keeps the vibe of the original while simultaneously being true to the source material

Rosanne Stewart

It's not winning the poll, but I really hope you react to the second It movie at some point.

Phillip Elbert

Halloween has my vote but that's one of the ones where the sequel is even better than the first so add that if Halloween wins.

RebRox65

Please THE OMEN Pt.1 Best Scare Ever or Village of the Dammed

Kristine Friling

I just saw watched "Werewolf by Night" on Disney Plus and omg it was good! It was about an hour long and it is a special presentation. I highly recommend a react to this one. I don't request often, but I needed to for this one!

Quick

If you’ve never seen it, might I suggest adding SHUTTER ISLAND to your watchlist.
