Hey folks!

Happy Feature Friday! It's time for more JOHN WICK!!

Since the poll for this movie and Galaxy Quest were SO CLOSE, I will be watching BOTH!! I may not watch Galaxy Quest next week, but I will make sure to watch it very soon :)

This movie was rented by me on Amazon Prime for all of those who are watching along with me.

As always, thank you so much for your support and stay golden

Happy Feature Friday Nat. Haven't seen this one, so am excited to see the further adventures of JW with you 😊 and also looking forward to Galaxy Quest when you get to it. This was certainly action packed with a lot of cool sequences. Plenty breaking bones for you Nat. "Assassination Vacation" made me laugh out loud 😄 and your concern for every canine in this movie. Cameron is going to be working overtime on this one. Good luck, buddy 🤞 Another great Keanu action movie for your consideration is Speed. Thanks for an awesome reaction today Nat, and as always, thanks for all your awesome work this week. Looking forward to the livestream tomorrow too 💛

Brian E

Heck yea. I was just about to watch this movie in like 20 minutes. Perfect timing! And love that you will also do galaxy quest.

Baggie Mark

Looking forward to this later tonight when I get back from the West Brom v Cov game tonight....

Ian

You gotta react to The Last of Us next!!

ButtyOh

Was that Nat admitting that her new show next week is last of us in the intro? Or has she said that before and I missed it

Erik Stevenson

Casualty of there just being too many Disney + shows IMO, same for Boba Fett.

Mastervodo

Plus - they are just not that good!

Jason Gillman

So excited to watch Galaxy Quest with you!

Ian

Happy Friday nat great news you're be watching galaxy quest also 🙌 wick 2 is fantastic and I'm excited to dive into your reaction but that will be tomorrow cuz heading out but I will definitely be getting popcorn for the experience 👌 have an awesome weekend nat and as always stay golden 💛

ButtyOh

Took nat a concerningly long time to realise that the 7mil obviously wasn't Santino trying to pay Wick off

Ben Wheeler

I think Galaxy Quest will work fine without much exposure to Star Trek

Danishprince

Was talked about in her latest live stream

ButtyOh

Fair enough. Missed the stream but TLOU was a safe bet on what she'd do next

Jeff K.

Definitely. I've never watched a single episode of Star Trek and I've only seen, like, one of the movies (and it was one of the new ones) and that didn't impact my enjoyment at all. I mean, I was very well aware of the characters because I have a pop culture obsession and it's hard to avoid knowing who Kirk and Spock and Sulu and Bones are, etc., but still. It absolutely stands on its own.

More Batteries

I would love to see you react to John Wick 3! We've come this far.

Ali Williams

Two film nerdy things to point out: 1) The Buster Keaton movie playing on the wall at the start of JW2 was the filmmakers homage to early silent films featuring actors who also were fantastic stuntmen. The filmmakers are firmly staking out their ground within cinema history. 2) The hall of mirrors scene is another homage to “Enter The Dragon”, Bruce Lee’s most mainstream movie. Needing ends now.

Logan Kerlee

Haven't watched yet - just wanting to comment a THANK YOU for choosing to watch Galaxy Quest as well, later. I'm sure that I'll enjoy this as well - but that's what I voted for. :)

djKENTO

Second movie in a row with Franco Nero, the original Django!!!

djKENTO

Also the sommelier is Peter Serafinowicz who was the jerk took mate in Shaun of the Dead and he’s the OG voice of Darth Maul. Terrific comedic actor.

Ben Wheeler

Hey guys just fyi this one is available for free w/ ads on Peacock if you don't want to rent it on Amazon. Personally I don't mind pausing Nat for the ads--I've been doing it all through Wednesday on Netflix

Darren Theelin

Anyone else having trouble syncing the video to the movie? I just can't seem to get the playback speeds right

Patrick Reynolds

Really enjoyed your reaction and hope you see John Wick 3, Nat Did you notice that Julian, the owner of the Continental in Rome, was played by Franco Nero? Nero was the actor playing the slaver whose fighter was killed in Django Unchained. And of course, it was nice seeing Lawrence Fishburne, aka (Morpheus) in the Matrix with Keanu (The One) again. 🙂

Philippe Dessaints

If you like the lines in this one, wait till you watch Parabellum. It's got one of my favorite lines ever

Patrick Egan

You'll be fine with Galaxy Quest even if you haven't watched Star Trek. There are some things in GQ that Trek fans probably laugh at harder, but I don't think there's anything about it that's inaccessible for non Trek fans. I think you'll get a real kick out of it :)

Ben Wheeler

Please don’t put a hit out on me for saying this but I find these movies boring.

Walter Lopez

"HA! SUCK IT everyone who picked Galaxy Quest." - Nat jk Lol I also picked Galaxy Quest. Looking forward to The Last of Us Reaction!

Patrick Egan

Peacock is getting rid of the free account tier, just fyi

Patrick Egan

I absolutely loved how they expanded the world of the Continental in this movie, showing us more about how the whole system works. As much fun as it was to see Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne together on screen again(and Fish was in FINE form in this movie), the Sommelier is one of if not my favorite character in the entire John Wick franchise. He was SO much fun! And the action in this movie was fantastic. Plus, it was even more beautifully shot than the first one, and the first movie set a pretty high bar. Rewatching it today, when they were in the hall of mirrors I was just amazed at how they kept the camera from showing in the reflections. I get that they could probably erase it digitally, but it's still really impressive given HOW MANY mirrors there were. Unfortunately, where this movie dropped the ball for me was the villain. In the first movie, Viggo was fantastic. The actor who played him(RIP Michael Nyqvist) did a great job, and even though he was trying to kill John, you still empathized with him. He was trying to save his son, after all. But Santino wasn't nearly as compelling. He was just a little weasel who forced John to do his dirty work, then tried to kill him, and for some reason was offended that John came after him? And Ruby Rose's character wasn't so great either. This came out around the time when everyone wanted to put her in stuff, but I always found her overrated as an actress.

Randy Torres

Keanu has trained with guns for this series of movies, there is youtube vids of him with Taran Tactical

Onno Smits

I'm guessing you're watching on HBO Max and you're in a PAL-format country? Try opening Nat's reaction on YouTube (not embedded in Patreon), and then opening the Dev Console (F12 or Ctrl+Shift+i) and paste the following and press enter: $('video').playbackRate = 1.043; This will make Nat's reaction run just 4.3% faster, which is exactly the speed difference with the idiotic PAL-converted HBO Max.

Joits

They had a good thing, went too far with the mythology and became basically a sci-fi fantasy movie. They hyped up Ruby Rose so much and she barely put up a fight. Didn't think much of the third one either and so I'm not really looking forward to the fourth one, with maybe the exception of seeing Mark Dacascos go up against Keanu.

Tim D.

You can stop worrying about the dog..... that's all I'll share regarding Chapter 3. In my opinion, Chapter 3 is a much better movie than Chapter 2. I'm not thrilled with the ending, but it needed to be that way to fully set-up the upcoming Chapter 4, which looks like it has the potential to be the best of all of them based on the trailer. Summary: Watch Chapter 3!

Logan Kerlee

Oh! That quote's from Anchorman! lol, except it isn't the whole quote! Trying to slip one by us! hahaha "I will smash your face into a car windshield, then take your mother, Dorothy Mantooth, out for a nice seafood dinner, and never call her again." Champ Kind's the dude who said it.

Misty Crom

I'm thinking that's Anchorman, possibly Anchorman 2. But, specifically, it's ... dammit, don't remember his name, the sports guy. Really enjoyed revisiting this one with you. For some reason, it didn't seem to want to stay properly synched up... though was never too bad of an issue. I did notice there are 2 versions on Amazon Prime that showed; one i couldn't watch, which I'd suspect is the US version maybe. It also started with the WB logo for me, which confused me for a moment. Now, hope you'll get to John Wick Chapter 3. Chapter 5 is due out this March apparently. Looking forward to Galaxy Quest too though. I voted for that, though it was a tricky choice. Just figured if that wins, this has a better chance of still getting watched soon too since you enjoyed the first one.

Troy

This was fun! I think I liked the first one better just on a novelty factor, as this one is a lot of revisiting of things, along with stakes I don't care as much about (oh, not a Seat at The Table). But this one has a lot more style. I was particularly impressed that I never noticed a single camera or crew member during the extensive mirrors segment.

Thoko

I haven't watched this film or reaction yet, but I believe the person you are referring to from Anchorman is called "Champ Kind"

Keith Jacobsen

"Not the ruins!" They're already ruined, Nat. Also, Cassian was left alive on the train, you may have missed it. John told him "the blade is in your aorta, pull it out, you'll bleed out." or something along those lines. He stabbed Ruby Rose in the same place, but pulled it out, not extending her the same courtesy. Very fun reaction, be seeing you!

Darren Theelin

Thanks for the response! While it probably would help, I wasn't using HBO Max :P I managed to sync it (almost) properly by downloading her reaction video and playing it on VLC on around 1.04 speed and watching the movie on Blu-ray :)

Powers209

Misquote. "John Wick got 51% of the vote, so All you fans of Galaxy Quest can Suck It! Who knew Nat could be so mean?

Thomas Yanez

She rules her domain with a golden fist

Ortizmo

Sean Connery: Shuck it, Galaxy Quest. Shuck it long, and shuck it hard.

ccc

I like turtles

N G.

Can we get 3:10 to Yuma on a poll? Just watched it again recently and think that'd be good

Thoko

Can we get starship troopers on a poll?

Philip Davetas

What? That hasn't happened? I love that flick!

Zuhl

The only problem I had with this movie, suspending belief of course, is the gunshot wound he took earlier. Some of the scenes after had no blood and he definitely didn't seem to have an injury.

Zuhl

Have you ever seen Scott Pilgrim? Now that is an original.

Johnny

Stop thinking Star Trek. It's a parody of episodic TV, sci-fi tropes. Not knowing why someone is wearing a certain color shirt or says a certain line will not detract from it being funny.

Charles Semon

If you've never seen it I'd love to see you react to American History X

Mastervodo

That has been mentioned before. Don't know that it's ever been on a pool. It should be on more. +1 Recommend Scott Pilgrim

Cripkie

boooo.....jk My horse lost fair and square. As sequels go this one isnt tht bad. Trillogys tend to be well-rounded. But there will probs be a john wick 4 just for the money grab. Thats the problem with artforms that are expensive to make like the film is. the burden of profitability.

Cripkie

dont be obtuse....

Cripkie

why u gotta be like that tho, sore winning is smug.

Cripkie

dumbass.....

Cripkie

brilliant film, the writing is perfect.

Cripkie

its sci fi kid....

Cripkie

what are u even saying in reality tho.

Johnny

This was in response to her intro about how she wouldn't have ever watched Galaxy Quest or polled for it because everyone told her it's a "Star Trek parody." You don't need any Star Trek knowledge to watch this. The parody is of sci-fi tropes, there's no barrier to entry.

Ortizmo

Back atcha, sweet cheeks.

Daniel Vezina

Trailer for Jon Wick 4 is already out.

Thomas Yanez

Except that "money grabs" are "money grabs" because the movies usually suck when they do not carry the vision of the original creators and the studios forcing the sequels don't care. That's not the case with the John Wick franchise. Same dedicated group of action/stunt loving creators telling a long form story about the universe they created. Also, to make a lot of money. So, ok, a money grab, too. But, you know, with integrity or something.

PureGonzo

…how is he being obtuse?

REDR58

People seem to forget that all movies are made to make money.

Thoko

Thats an interesting movie. Pretty intense though

Charles Semon

It is indeed very intense and at certain points I think it would horrify her but, I think she may enjoy it because its a great story about a man changing for the better and working towards a better life.

PartyStartsHere

It was already a sci-fi fantasy movie. The first film acted like it could have been OUR world, but John was always mythologically good at what he does, and the bad guys were always mythologically bad at stopping him. The second film dropped the pretense of realism, and owned the fact that this was always a fantasy, instead, replacing the realism with a slick neon aesthetic, and more action.

Taff Lewis

Yes, Edgar Wright! anything, followed by the "Cinima Wins " review; he's a fanboy, and a converter.

Taff Lewis

Can't see more that 40 comments, so sorry for any redundancy: - Dog rescued from the 1st movie was scheduled to be destroyed. - While Ares (Ruby Rose) died, Cassian DID NOT die. you were talking over john saying that the knife was in his aorta and that IF he pulled it out he would die. - "as a professional courtesy" (same as the bowery king's throat slit, 2 scenes later) Watch 3, cause More Dogs, +Halle Berry, you'll love it, then watch "CinimaWins" review has he has an awesome request during. Sorry for plug, but as much as I love watching you experience my favorite movies for the first time in full, and then again on youtube because you catch so much on the 1st go, The CinimaWins review meticulously breaks down minute things i missed, and amplifies what i love so much about my favorites. Thank you for your work, your efforts are appreciated.

Chief

Star Trek will come eventually? Hope for the world still exists!

Nick Freer

You gotta watch number 3 it’s even better. Keanu is just too awesome !!

Joey

If I had the chance to see 3 right after 2 released I would. Just saying haha He was excommunicado! But you also got a lot to watch and glad you’re enjoying this series so far

SquaredSpekz
