Sorry the poll got a bit delayed this morning! Help me pick a sci-fi flick!

Apollo 13... not really a sci-fi flick, but I voted for it anyway due to the quality of the film.

2026-09-06 12:00 Is this Rise of the Planet of the Apes?
2023-02-15 19:32

Kate

easily planet of the apes!

Woody G

Ex Machina sticked with me after i left the theater. Great movie

Ben Wheeler

Does this mean we’re not watching Galaxy Quest this week?

Dominic Delacruz

Are you referring the old planet of the apes movies or the more recent ones. The recent ones are a lot better

Gabriel L.

All good options (though Apollo 13 is historical drama, not scifi). While I like Apollo 13 the most, I would enjoy seeing you watch Galaxy Quest more.

ButtyOh

Wait I thought she was doing galaxy quest already after it came so close in the last poll

Kyle

Plzzz I need planet of the apes to finally win, she needs to experience the knew onesss

Edward Brink

Original planet of the apes? Then yes. Also Ex Machina would totally freak her out. Might have to go with that one for pure shock factor

Andy

You should do the Planet of the Apes reboot trilogy some time. Andy Serkis as Caesar is a great performance

Quick

Oh man... all the above, but I absolutely cannot wait for you to watch "Rise of the Planet of the Apes".

bytefyre

Heh, I personally wouldn’t quite classify Apollo 13 as sci-fi. It’s a dramatized recounting of historical events that just so happen to mainly take place in outer space.

Buzz Mongold

Apollo 13 is one of the best movie you can ask for especially if you don't know the history! Don't look it up! It's all true and definitely not Syfi but still needs to be added asap

Daniel Casillas

Don’t think Apollo 13 is a Sci-Fi film

Vince Ledezma

I thought Galaxy Quest won already?

Simonsays

The wahlberg one

Adam Block

Which Planet of the Apes?? There are many at this point. There's the Matt Reeves (who would go onto do The Batman film), the older ones with Charelton Heston, and the one with Mark Whalberg. I think many would prefer the Matt Reeves or older ones even if you ever were to do one

Ian

Yes very strange seeing galaxy quest in the poll after nat said herself she was going to watch it not last Friday because she wanted to see Wakanda so it should have been this Friday but guess nat changed her mind 🤷 oh and happy Wednesday nat

Walter Lopez

There are very few trilogies that I consider a perfect trilogy. The Planet of the Apes is one of them! But I choose Galaxy Quest. 😂

Johnny

She said she never would have put it in a poll because it was described as a Star Trek parody, and she's never seen Star Trek. But people do vote for it. I wouldn't want to ruin the cast list as she sometimes doesn't look it up, but based on that alone it's worth watching.

Eric Janssen

Planet of the Apes, 1968. It’s a madhouse. If you’re wondering how we got the new 10’s trilogy, it’s because the X-producer who commissioned the ‘01 remake hated the precious mess that Tim Burton delivered.

Dominique Cloet

Weren’t you gonna do Galaxy Quest anyway? Since the votes were so split on, not one, but two polls.

Darryl Low

Happy Wednesday Nat. 5th or 6th time lucky for those apes please 🐵🐒🦍🦧🤞

The Dingo

Apollo 13! Such a great movie!

Baggie Mark

Which Planet of the Apes are we talking about? Original series Planet of the Apes (1968) Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970) Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971) Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972) Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973) Remake Planet of the Apes (2001) Reboot series Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014) War for the Planet of the Apes (2017)

Jeb Manning

Two I'd recommend as well is The Last Starfighter and Enemy Mine

Eric Janssen

Kingdom? Fox’s doing another franchise-jumpstart? How much more of Battle for the POTA is there left to remake? (Oh, right, Caesar hasn’t died yet and we don’t have a statue.). 🙄

Garrett Wolf

Galaxy Quest is a fun time, but Apollo 13 is one of the greatest films.

Adam Doyle

Apollo 13 is a fun watch, but Galaxy Quest would be more popular for the channel.

Kevin Maguire

Well, technically, Apollo 13 isn't sci-fi. It's history. Yeah, I'm gonna be THAT guy.

John Piazza

Ex Maxhina is SO good. I can’t recomend it enough. Actually just rewatched if this week strangely enough

Jeff K.

Galaxy Quest gets my top vote, but I'd love for you to react to Apollo 13 as well. If you're doing Planet of the Apes, I sure hope you're talking about the original, and not the lousy remake with Wahlberg.

Troy

I love all of these movies, great choices. I went with Ex Machina. The tensions builds nicely throughout the movie.

Bathu

I love Apollo 13 but it definitely shouldn't win based on the genre. It's a historical drama I guess. I'm voting for it anyway

Tucci

Casual giant spoiler ^

fryke

This just seems cruel, to put us Galaxy Quest fans through another poll after saying it'd be reacted to, anyway... Hopefully it comes out on top. But, to quote Nat: She's gonna react to it, anyway. Soon.

David Isaac Wai

As much as I'd love to get the recent PotA films reacted to, Ex Machina has my vote this time. It might not come up again xD

Tucci

All good movies. Ex Machina and the new Apes trilogy are really good films and have incredible visuals, even by today's standards.

SmokeAndACoffee

Dammit!!!! I mean... all of these are pretty much NEED to watch Sci-fi films imo, but dammit, Nat! You KNEW Planet of the Apes wasn't gonna win, and ya just went ahead and tortured yourself and us Apes fans with it anyway xD xP lol <3

FateMalone

Plz planet of the apes

luca gonzalez

Planet of the apes 🥲😮‍💨

Steve

Ex Machina is just so damn good.

Fostena

Apollo 13 is not Sci-Fi :D don't tell me you are a Space denier! :D

JayF

You said you were doing Galaxy Quest anyway. Putting it on another poll seems like an attempt to not do so. Therefore I'm voting for it even over Apollo 13 which is a true story and much better movie.

Scott Dorr

Apollo 13 is 'sci-nonfi'. Despite that, need to vote for it. It's a must-see.

Tempest A

We got another chance for Galaxy Quest baybay!!!

Cody Steele

God, how long have I seen Planet of the Apes on here? Too bad you put it next to Galaxy Quest 😂 I'll just keep PotA in the same pocket as Predator for now LMAO Seriously Natalie, I think Galaxy Quest is right up your alley.

Jeff E

Ugh, not GalaxyQuest AGAIN.😔

Patrick Egan

I know Galaxy Quest will probably win, and I know you’ll enjoy it. But I will always vote for Apollo 13, it’s an amazing movie.

Jayson Phillips

Every reactor out there has done all of these already so I guess its time to follow the herd!

Lisa Tosti

Wait I thought we were already doing Galaxy Quest? Didn't you say that in the John Wick opening? Anyway, voted for it again!

Opti_Frog

All worth watching, but i'd rank Ex Machina 1st and Galaxy Quest 4th.

Arthur Bright

You should really take Apollo 13 out (since it's a history piece/biopic) and watch it regardless of the results. Let the others fight it out in the poll for a sci-fi viewing!

Christopher

Didn’t you say that because Galaxy Quest was next cause it was so close with John Wick 2? I’m confused

ScottK63

You should getvto all of these and while Galaxy Quest is my favorite it's more of a warm weather season movie so I'd hold off a month or two.

LightsCameraJake

Voted for Apollo 13 since you said you were already going to do Galexy Quest.

Mastervodo

Galaxy Quest is a comedy. Ex Machina is definitely sci-fi. Nat needs a comedy with all the Last of Us we've put her through.

SilentBobFather

Nat should remove GQ since she already said she would watch it, also remove Apollo 13since it is fact not fiction. Should remove pota. till we know which one, Charlton Heston original is still the best. So I guess she has to watch Ex Machina since it is the only real choice.😃

Andrew Howard

Jeez. This is a tough call. I'd probably say it's Ex Machina > Galaxy Quest > Apollo 13 > Planet of the Apes? Planet of the apes mostly being in last because it's a series and would take up more slots to get through, and the first one I think is the least refined? All of them are some top tier movies though. If you want something anywhere close to light hearted though, Galaxy Quest rockets to #1 by a mile though.

Chris

lol, i feel you. its a great movie, but Ive rewatched it i think twice in the last 2 months with other channels.

John

Apollo 13 isn't really sci/fi.

DDK

Galaxy Quest is a great Star Trek inspired sci-fi comedy, would love to see Star Trek (2009) at some point!!

Christopher

Is Apollo 13 Sci-Fi as it is a true story and not fiction?

Dante

Didn’t you already say you’d watch Galaxy Quest? Why use another poll for it? And Apollo 13 is not a Sci-Fi movie. Also, which Planet of the Apes? That’s a pretty important distinction. Regardless, I’d rather she watch Ex Machina before any of these anyways. All great films though!

Vincent Valentin

i thought you already were gonna watch Galaxy quest? :( still voting for Ex Machina

jamie jones

Ummm apollo 13 isn’t sci-fi…

Jim Lent

For a real science fiction poll, you can always add "Arrival." Unless you already did it and I missed it.

carlos

She’s seen Arrival already

Mike Hell

These are all pretty good choices, but I went with PotA (and I'm assuming remake here) just because, if you haven't seen them, they'd make great content and they're pretty popular, too. I think I read that they're about to start work on another trilogy, or at least another film in the series, so you could get pumped up for the new film(s) with a Caesar Trilogy watch.

DevilsQueen

I hope she considers watching Underworld one day!!

Myles Away

All great movies. Not all sci-fi. In the heart of the poll ... Ex-Machina by a long shot.

Peter H

we also need the movie "Annihilation" in a sci-fi poll , from the same Director as Ex-Machina , very underrated sci-fi movie , with a great cast :)

Mannygogou

I think she's considering not watching Galaxy Quest unless we prove it's worth it by votes... I think winner takes the cake.

Mannygogou

In no way Apollo 13 is science fiction 🙂 let me think, no it's not. Unless the number "13" makes it so... no it does not 😊 THE RIGHT STUFF (1983) is just slightly more fiction than Apollo 13 but The Right Stuff isn't science-fiction either, but great movie!

djKENTO

I’ll be real, voting for Ex Machina because another reactor just did Galaxy Quest…

Mannygogou

next time I'd like to see in the sci-fi poll DEEP IMPACT (1998) if we want to see astronauts instead of Apollo 13 😁

Richard Maurer

But, but, it has space in it........ ;-)

Richard Maurer

Has anyone mentioned that Apollo 13 isn't sci-fi? ;-)

Byron

I just think it would be hilarious if Ex Machina beat out Galaxy Quest (I thought we were definitely watching that but still)

Kev Martin

I wonder if anyone will mention that "Apollo 13 is not Sci-Fi". Or that "Nat already said she'd watch Galaxy Quest".

Richard Maurer

The Wahlberg one? You mean the BEST one?

Erik Stevenson

Ah I would absolutely love this, Annihilation is fantastic.

Myles Away

Love that movie. Also, proper sci-fi.

Ulrich Unterbrunner

Apollo isn't sci-fi, but still to some extent fiction, as many aspects have been dramatized for the movie. However it always gives me goosebumps every time I watch it, also because many scenes were filmed in actual microgravity using a vomit-bomber.

D Walraven

Wouldn’t really call Apollo 13 sci-fi. Fictionalized account, yes but it is still based on what actually happened to the mission.

Myoclonic Jerk

Sam Rockwell's performance in Galaxy Quest trumps all.

Eve

Seen Galaxy Quest on quite some polls now. Never seen it but it gets my vote since I got the idea Nat really wants to watch it. Would also like to see an Annihilation reaction some day, enjoyed that movie

Rey

Ooo now i want ex machina to win, i swear to god i hope one day you get to watch planet of the apes tho ! Lol

Adam B

I didn’t mind the movie but if you should check out the book Annihilation (it’s very short and part 1 of a trilogy) it’s really good and way more of a sort of suspenseful horror novel.

Adam B

I didn’t mind the movie but if you should check out the book Annihilation (it’s very short and part 1 of a trilogy) it’s really good and way more of a sort of suspenseful horror novel.

Charles Semon

Man, I wanted to see you react to Galaxy Quest but, The Planet of the Apes movies are some of my all-time favorite movies lol

Alan Kobb

I hate to break this to you, but while Apollo 13 is a great movie, it is ***NOT*** SCIENCE FICTION or any other kind of fiction. It really happened, almost exactly as depicted in the movie!!! It does not belong on the same list with Galaxy Quest! Great acting and phenominal cast!

Misty Crom

Are you suggesting that Galaxy Quest is NOT a documentary?

Thoko

Which "Planet of the apes"? There has been at least 3 different film series

Logan Kerlee

This right there is super important! I'm a fan of the original series of films. The other two are pretty weak in my book. If it was specifically the original series that'd have my vote.

Logan Kerlee

That's why I didn't vote for Planet of the Apes. I didn't know which one it'd be. I'd honestly prefer the original films but that's me.

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

I know most have a HO for GQ but I like all the others more...although I do agree w others that Apollo 13 being a true story is def not Science Fiction..haha...I still picked it since I think it is the best movie on the list

Logan Kerlee

You think so? I honestly prefer the original. The new one feels wrong in my book.

Chris Moon

You should also watch District 9

Stropheum

dude's talking smack about the historical documents

Kev Martin

Some people just don't understand the concept of spoilers do they?

Kev Martin

You and half the other commenters it would seem.

jamie jones

His performance in moon was quite spectacular

PickettsChargingPort

Well, of Ex Machina has to lose at least it's to galaxy quest

REDR58

A lot of reactors are doing GQ lately. Go for Ex Machina. It's the best film on the list.

Eric Janssen

It doesn't matter if she's never seen Star Trek, and jokes about Redshirts, Shatner's ego or Next Generation tropes will fall flat, she NEEDS to see Galaxy Quest, for one crucial all-important reason: WE'VE seen it! (Just testing the Bitter Sarcasm meter for the group.)

Colter

One day we will get Planet of the Apes 🥲

David Pressley

All these are good choices so you're going to have a time with all of them because I've seen all of them and they're pretty well done movies.

David Pressley

I would really love to see you watch if you ever do a pole for animated movies. I would love to see you watch princess mononoke and Akira

Eric Janssen

Apollo 13 is historical Sci-Fa!

Joao

I never win lately… Andor,🙁 I hope ex machine wins. Because it’s been two months that have been paying for stuff I’m not interested to watch 🙁

Ryan Cornett

I have to vote for Apollo 13, not a sci-fi, more historical drama. Aside for the three way yelling in the lunar module(which never happened, only there for drama), it’ very accurate. Only one on list haven’t seen is Ex Machina. It’s more riveting due it actually happened.

Richard Maurer

This sure is a funny little poll. leaving out the Apollo 13 thing. If I wanted to see a comedy (Sci-Fi or not) I'd pick GQ. But for straight up Sci-Fi I'd pick Ex-Machina. So I picked Ex-Machina.

Jason Gillman

I’m also confused why Galaxy Quest is on the poll since I thought we were confirmed to watch it. So I voted for Galaxy Quest again to make sure and will vote for Ex Machina next time. Nat needs something light during these times of TLOU

Harry Reece

Errr hate to be pedantic (I’m sure others have mentioned). Apollo 13 isn’t Sci-Fi. Well unless you don’t believe we went to the moon 🌚. Anyway, I think Nat will really enjoy ExMacina but it won’t win. So I’ll vote ExMacina.

matthew h

Maybe skip TV shows for one week and just watch all of these. Make it Sci-Fi + Apollo 13 week.

Jeremy Jacobs

Four good movies, but I'm not voting in any more of these polls until Nat watches Andor.

jamie jones

No thanks, not when the shows being watched are the last of us and the boys

That’s Not Acting

I'm so sad that Apollo 13 isn't getting any love. Such a well made, classic film

RonJon

Great movie, but pretty decidedly not Sci-Fi, so doesn't really fit the poll

Richard Maurer

I've been told that on occasion I can be funny, So yes.

Slick447

Let's go Ex Machina! It was my favorite modern sci-fi film for a while until Blade Runner 2049 came along.

Richard Maurer

I really hope that's not why people aren't voting for Apollo 13. Sure, it technically belongs in a 'historical drama' poll, but okay, it's in a sci-fi poll, so what? Vote for it if want. Not voting for it because it's in the "wrong" poll seems needlessly pedantic.

tezster

Ex Machina is picking up steam!

Daniel Vezina

Star Trek, 1/2 the joke in Galaxy Quest are gonna go over your head

Logan Kerlee

While that's true - it'll be great fun telling her about each reference n the comments. So that's why Galaxy Quest has my vote. If Planet of the Apes were closer that would have my vote.

TwistedMagoo

Apollo 13 is probably the best reaction movie on the poll, but since it's not getting love, I went with Galaxy Quest.

Alan Kobb

You're not being pedantic. However, this controversy has brought to the front a small group that is claiming that Galaxy Quest is a documentary. Personally I believe that Galaxy Quest is "loosely based on actual events", while Apollo 13 is a true story.

Alan Kobb

Let's be clear. Galaxy Quest is "loosely based on actual events" (events that the press refuses to acknowledge) while Apollo 13 is a true story. In that respect they're worlds apart. :-))

DevilsQueen

I'm actually curious if anyone of you also would want 'the 100" on her channel?

Jamie A-H

has anything lost a poll as many times as planet of the apes

Naturekitty5309

Wonder which planet of the apes is on the poll? Could sway my vote

Natalie Gold

feel free to always leave and come back if you see stuff that interests you when I post on YouTube! No one should ever pay for content they're not interested in :)

Natalie Gold

bahahaha I was really only thinking about the space part rather than the fiction...😂 it does look like I'm a conspiracy theorist now huh?

jamie jones

It would have my vote if it was for the newer trilogy, but not for the old ones. Which planet of the apes is it?

Daniel Vezina

It's like watching Spaceball without ever seen Star Wars.

Danishprince

I fully believed apes together strong yet we keep losing the polls :(

Danishprince

And considering she disliked Spaceballs and parodies in general it's probably a good thing she hasn't seen Star Trek

Rek

I voted Galaxy Quest on the last two polls, but when its put alongside the 1968 planet of the apes, there's no comparison. If you've never seen it, planet of the apes is a must watch!

Jamie A-H

please rig the next poll somehow 😭 put planet of the apes with a bunch of awful choices

PureGonzo

Does this mean that Ex Machina is the winner since she already promised to watch Galaxy Quest? *gleefully hoping* :)

Thoko

But did she ever clarify that she wants to watch that version of Planet of the Apes?

Rek

No, but that's why I made it clear in my comment ;)

Richard Maurer

Or she could just announce that she's watching PotA next and skip the charade of a rigged poll - just a thought.

Richard Maurer

No reactor has ever watched Trek before GQ, yet somehow they all love it. Can we get past this tired "You gotta watch Star Trek first!" thing? It nevers works and is a waste of everybody's time.

CHRISXGAMESALOT

I would mind seeing her react to Godzilla.

Opti_Frog

Not sure i could choose between them.

Opti_Frog

Nah, that's not a reason not to watch GQ. The reason is that GQ is a three star movie and the others are four and five star films.

Thoko

I enjoyed the first few seasons quite a bit, but I have mixed feelings about the last several seasons. In particular I was underwhelmed by the lack of danger/criminality from the actual criminals. They were less dangerous than the regular characters

DevilsQueen

True, their are a few flaws

Thoko

They are both very good, but have a very different vibe

Thoko

I didn't vote against Apollo 13 for that reason. I just feel that real Sci-Fi is more interesting to watch and to see a reaction to

Thoko

Boring

Thoko

I said "boring"

That’s Not Acting

@RonJon I didn't even consider its genre-appropriateness, lol. But you're right. Decidedly not sci-fi.

Emery Sea

Does Apollo 13 count as science fiction?

AJ Miller

An interesting poll would be Planet of the Apes (1968) Planet of the Apes (2001) Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) Like how many votes the reboot would get over the original.

JohnnyTankTop

Apollo 13 and Ex Machina are both fantastic.. but Galaxy Quest has to be the choice here.

JohnnyTankTop

You absolutely do not need to watch Trek to enjoy GQ, what a terrible take.

Steve

she's likely to love galaxy quest, plus it's a very fun comedy that also has heart. while i voted for ex-machina because i think it's a powerful story that's very well told, when votes are this close we can be confident we're almost certainly going to see both films in the nearish future, so i'm good with whatever happens.

Richard Maurer

Repeating the same comment is Boring.

CHRISXGAMESALOT

I didn't think he'd replied lol. I only suggest Godzilla because we need some monster movies reaction.

Richard Maurer

Sorry, that was @ Thoko. In full agreement with you about Godzilla and monster movies in general - we need more!

Jordan Perkins

please keep putting planet of the apes into these polls until it wins

Richard Maurer

Or just make an executive decision and watch it without a poll.

Jason Dolan

I like that Apollo 13 is in sci-fi... like... yeah, that shit didn't happen. Stanley Kubrick directed every single 1960's space flight mission! Tinfoil hats for everyone! Planet of the Apes though, that's actually REAL!

Thoko

Well, to be more fair, planet of the apes is based on a true story but with some Hollywood embellishments. Our inferior, primitive species of apes ("homo sapiens") rose up against and overthrew the real humans ("homo neanderthalis")

Martin7777

It's not a documentary. Even though it is based on a true story, fiction is the correct genre.

Richard Maurer

All non-documentary movies are technically fiction (and, lets face it, many documentaries are at least part fiction). But the correct category for Apollo 13 would be historical drama, since it depicts historical fact, albeit in a fictionalized account.

Thomas Yanez

I agree with OP. It doesn't matter how fictionalized it is, it isn't "science fiction", since everything involved here was based on real-world technology, not imagined technologies or changes in the culture or environment. It's really just a drama. At this point, could even be considered a period-piece or historical drama.

Thoko

Thomas, I'm not sure I agree with your logic. "The Martian" is based on real-world technology but it is considered science fiction

Richard Maurer

@ Thoko - Apollo 13 actually happened so it is science "fact". No one has been to Mars yet, so The Martian is still considered science fiction, even if it's technically possible to go to Mars. It's a fine line, but the line exists. Even if humans go to Mars in the future The Martian would still be considered science fiction as no one had done it at the time the film was made, unlike Apollo 13.

Richard Maurer

Rise would win that poll easily. Like it or not classics never get as much support as new versions, unless the new version is awful. That being said I'm down for that poll, just as long as either good version of PotA gets watched. Not Tim Burton version though, no need to go through that again.

Bob Thompson

To really appreciate Galaxy Quest you need to watch a healthy amount of Star Trek first.

Fostena

@Richard I have a very hard time deciding whether to place The Martian in the sci-fi category or not. Apollo 13 is absolutely an historical drama (it may be technically fiction, but it doesn't fictionalize science in any way). The Martian is maybe a science-y adventure? I mean, the most fictionalized aspect of the movie is the scale of devastation of the inital storm... other than that is not that implausible, and more importantly science and technology are correct (more correct than most non-scifi movies, even). My definition of sci-fi is "a work of fiction where (one of) the main focus is alternative and/or futuristic science or tech". That's why I don't consider, for instance, Star Wars very much sci-fi, more "futuristic fantasy" (DISCLAIMER: that's my own personal categorization). It's true that The Martian is a "what if" scenario, because no one went to Mars, yet. But the achievement by itself is not (strictly speaking) the science or the technology. If they haven't made up any science, and based the movie around it, how is it science fiction? One could say that in order to achieve that goal we must necessarily invent new tech and improve our science... I am very undecided on this.

Jason Dolan

The Martian is 100% science fiction

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

no...there is no need of that. I watched it before I ever watch Star Trek and also in more recent years and is the same thing, Star Trek is not needed at all or any sci fi movie to appreciate it

Richard Maurer

Please stop. No matter how many times people ask reactors to watch Trek first they never do. And they enjoy GQ anyway. It's just sad at this point.

Richard Maurer

I stand by my definition of science fiction for The Martian. A manned Mars expedition has not occured yet, so it still defined as sci-fi, even though it is technically possible to do so. Films about the first manned mission to the Moon were made right up to the time when it actually happened, and all those films are still considered science fiction to this day. No reason for the The Martian to viewed differently.

Thoko

Richard, the flaw in your argument is that most of the finer details of any historical event are never recorded. Therefore, any historical film is going to have significant portions of it that are NOT facts at all. Then, add the fact that screen writers are probably changing people's personalities to make them more likeable, relatable etc or just to build tension. There is so much craft involved that it becomes a work of fiction and only *based* on facts.

Richard Maurer

@Thoko - Everything you said is correct, but this is not a flaw in my argument at all because as I stated earlier in this thread all films are fiction and I never claimed otherwise. Films that are (in theory) completely factual are known as documentaries. When I said Apollo 13 actually happened I was obviously referring to the moon mission itself not the film, and the part of the sentence where I said it was science "fact", fact was in quotes, meaning not to be taken literally. Once again, Apollo 13 is a historical drama (fiction), The Martian is science fiction.

Thoko

Yes! We did it again! Now she'll be forced to follow through with her previous promise to watch both winners

SilentBobFather

Another run off poll since this one is so close?

Mastervodo

Double Feature! Double Feature!

Baggie Mark

OMG not again.... Galaxy Quest tie's again .... lol

Baggie Mark

Think we need a Patreon exclusive LIVE watch along with Nat, and Galaxy Quest seems to be a good one to start with..

Thoko

It worked out fine. She has already put Galaxy Quest on this week's schedule and I assume she will put Ex Machina on next week's schedule.

Richard Maurer

Or maybe she'll put Ex-Machina on a poll and it will tie with something else. Won't that be fun?

Randy Hooper

If this is the new Planet of the Apes on the poll then I’m so sad it keeps losing.

Alexander Dashiell

I just thought about it, and if you've never seen the movie Holes, with Shia Lebouf, that should 10000% go on one of your later polls. Fantastic film.

Joe Blankenship

I know, I’m burnt out on Galaxy Quest.

LEGION428

Damn. Apollo 13 is one of my favorites.

Gabriel Burns

But it's kinda off topic, right? She's asking for a sci-fi movie, and includes a historical drama.

Thoko

Why does it matter if its off-topic though? Its not like people voted for her to restrict the choices to pure sci-fi. She just set that topic on a whim because she had certain films in mind that she wanted to watch.

mrhalfbit

Oh man yes, Holes is a must watch.
