Yes this is kind of a random poll haha. These are some movies that have been on my list for a while. Looking forward to seeing what y'all pick!

Jacketb

I can't choose!! ........I chose Predator

Darryl Low

4 great movies Nat and it would be amazing to watch all of them with you. Going to go with the homeland favourite Braveheart this time 😊 Have an awesome Wednesday Nat 💛

SilentBobFather

For personal reasons I will not watch Braveheart.

Singularpointzero

She’s posted predator a couple times but I think she should switch it with Prey for next time, Prey I think is more her style and is basically the Predator of the 2020s.

Troy

Great choices, I went with Ex Machina. Great flick👍!

Brian H

Hmmm... predator or ex machina? 🤔

Chris H

Alot of those types of films aren't as easily accessible to everyone so she probably doesn't want to make people feel like they have to buy them.

Danishprince

I will never understand people that love Ex Machina.. It is one of the most predictable and boring movies I have ever seen and the fact that it's winning over Predator and Top Gun.. Shameful

Bret Moore

Kinda sucks though because before the meltdown I really really loved Mel Gibson and he is an amazing actor. But I get it.

David Bennett

Natalie, I VERY much want to see you react to both predator and top gun. I like the other two films as well but classic Tom Cruise and classic Arnold Schwarzenegger are excellent choices. (BTW the first two predator films are the only ones worth watching, in my humble opinion….)

Chris

well i really wanted to watch ex machina, but now youve put it against BRAVEHEART?!

Mike Hell

Definitely Predator. Need some more Arnold in your playlist.

Philip Davetas

PREDATOR is the quickest path to PREY. I'd skip TOP GUN and just head straight for MAVERICK.

Sean

Just watched ex machina for the first time recently. Absolutely worth the watch!

Boomcity

All great choices. I had to pick Top Gun because I've honestly never watched it. Plus I figure if Nat watches Top Gun she'll also watch Top Gun Maverick which everyone seems to be raving about for some reason.

Patrick Egan

Gotta be Predator, if only so you can watch Prey later :)

Bret Moore

This may sound sadistic but my favorite episodes are when you cry your eyes out, and it makes me cry. It’s very cathartic. Gifted and Book of Love hit my head first, though they are not popular films, they are very good.

Daniel Vezina

LOL, Skip Top Gun, go straight Maverick🤣🤣.

chico

Mission impossible!!!!!

Brian Moore

I went with Top Gun because I love flying planes. I’ll be flying my first jet next month! Predator is also a classic 80s must see film. Ex Machina is a slow yet incredibly well done sci fi flick exploring AI. Braveheart I could do without because it bored me to tears, but it was widely received as a good movie for many years.

Vince Ledezma

Is gifted the one with Chris Evans?

OnederB71 NLN

"FREEDOM!!!" Come one guys Braveheart is the best movie out of the 4.

Baggie Mark

This is an "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" decision as they are all good films.. 👍

Kevin Maguire

I chose Top Gun but only because that leads to Top Gun :Maverick.

Jason Dolan

Really no wrong choice here

Danishprince

Watching that type of movies just doesn't benefit most reactors. There needs to be viewers or it's just a wasteful upload. None of those movies you mentioned are even slightly popurlar so it would result in very poor viewers. Need to keep in mind that this is a job for her. No viewers = no money :)

adrianR31

Ex Machina underrated gem.

Gabriel Burns

The best thing about Predator is knowing that two of it's stars went on to be governors. Reality is weird.

Danishprince

Not to mention it makes for a terrible reaction.. There's nothing to react to lol.

Chris

I agree with it being the best movie on there, but that doesn't really mean it's what people want to watch. Braveheart has been reacted to way more than ex machina for example. Tough chocie

SmokeAndACoffee

Really hoping Ex Machina keeps the lead for this one; such a great film! Braveheart, Top Gun, and Predator are all great and classics; but typical Hollywood Blockbuster types. Ex Machina is more thought provoking and artful imo

Daniel Green

If Predator doesn’t win, we riot.

Abraham

That’s the problem. No one is broadening their horizons. Natalie is great but there’s so much room for this channel to grow beyond what it currently has. I’ve honestly stopped watching some of these reaction channels because they keep watching the same mainstream films without trying out new things. Which is fine. They do what they want. But it’s just nothing new. If I go to the same restaurant and they offer the same dishes all the time, I’m going to get bored eventually. That’s just kind of what has happened. Once again that’s not to hate on Natalie or anyone who continues to watch the same content that sells. But it’s leaving so little opportunities for progress and exposure to new things. I once had no interest in seeing every film there is. But when I did start, I quickly found that I find more excitement watching the other films not made in America. That were made decades ago. Why not check out stuff like Aftersun, Wendy and Lucy, , Elephant, Stalker, Cranes are Flying, Sunset Boulevard, Best Years of Our Lives? Hitchcock films, Cinema Paradiso, 400 Blows. Seventh Seal. Amores Perros. 8 1/2, Bicycle thieves… Pather Panchali, Chungking Express, crouching Tiger hidden dragon. Worst Person in the World. The Hunt. List goes on.

Bret Moore

Why yes it is. And the amazing child actress McKenna Grace from The Haunting of Hill House

Richard Maurer

Eventually most of the more popular movies will be done and gone, with not enough new popular movies replacing them. Every reactor faces this dilemma, Nat's switch to doing mostly series is one way to combat this as you can get a lot more mileage out of a series. but even that won't last forever. Hell, Nat might even have to do anime someday, as much as she doesn't want too :-)

Abraham

They are definitely popular. And they will benefit. Vkunia recently watched the Cold War. It’s a Polish movie and she’s polish. She said many times while watching it that it was such an enriching and satisfying experience for her to explore her culture while sharing it with her viewers. Same scenario for cinephiles. Have you met the Wong Kar Wai fans? The Bergman/Tarkovsky ones? The YouTubers who spend hours and hours analyzing Godard. Who just passed away btw. And nothing should ever be about just money. But whatever. To each is own bud.

Edward Brink

Ex machina is definitely gonna freak her out, Braveheart is the only oscar winner there and despite mel gibson's weird off camera persona easily the best of the bunch. Predator is probably the most masculine movie you can think of but its a decent story, well told. Top Gun is pretty good, personally prefer it to the sequel.

Troggdar

Dredd should be on the list. Karl Urban, Lena Headey and Domhnall Gleeson in one of the tightest action movies I've ever seen.

Lisa Tosti

I will definitely wat Ex-Machina if you watch it because I have never seen it, but I love top gun and want you to watch both so I voted for that.

Abraham

I definitely hope that’ll be how it’ll happen. And it doesn’t even have to be one mass adjustment. Just slip in some more films bit by bit. Oscar winners and nominations for instance. So many more films nominated at the Oscars come from foreign filmmakers.

Rev.J

Avoid Top Gun unless you’re gonna watch Maverick. The former hasn’t aged at all well (watched it last year the night before I saw the sequel). Tom Cruise played, in retrospect compared to today, a lot of awful characters that were ’spose to be heroes during the 80s/90s. His portrayal, recently, are lot more chilled. Since your channel started with a SciFi classic, only makes sense to start with Predator then 2 and finally Prey (since the latter two reference the previous story). No need for the other Pred movies, or AvP (read the first comic instead), though Predators was a pretty good stand alone.

Richard Maurer

There are people who have a problem with Braveheart over the Scottish independence question too. So I'm not sure if op meant that or MG's personal flaws.

PiratedTVPro

Ex Machina has some of my favorite acting in years.

Danishprince

Vkunia watched Cold War and is has 4.100 views out of 150.000 subscribers. She might have had a good experience but the reaction did terribly and reactions like that will kill a channel. Like I said, those movies you mentioned are just not popurlar enough to get high enough view numbers for them to make sense in watching for her

Richard Maurer

This is a tough one. I would be happy with any of the movies here except Top Gun, which I find corny and highly overrated. I voted Ex Machina for now but I might change my vote depending on how the poll goes.

David Crabtree

Top Gun for sure! Fantastic film! With Predator a close second. Also fantastic!

Jo

Top Gun! Let's get Maverick one step closer to fruition.

Kyle Fletcher

I just 3atched Ex Machina for the first time time last night. It was pretty good!

Abraham

🤷🏻‍♂️ that’s how great art is never seen then. It’s a devastating loss

Bret Moore

Hey, I got an alert saying you replied to me but can’t find the thread at all, so I’m not sure what you were asking me. I wasn’t talking about TLOU though. I do t think

Byron

Ooooo… Ex Machina is so good!

Ulrich Unterbrunner

Braveheart is so massively overrated - and no, not because of Mel Gibson being a racist, antisemitic, US-born, australian Redneck. But of blatant ignorance of historical facts to portray the English as antagonistic as possible (also the princess he banged was like 4 years old at the time) as well as a huge number of almost outrageous continuity errors. I am fine with Top Gun and Ex Machina. Predator is so...so in my opinion.

Adam Block

Ex Machine is a great thriller film with some great questions about humanity and more. Plus has some actors from the newer Star Wars films :)

kikoyito

I personally like random genre polls like this. Usually leads to more exciting movie choices!

THE LORE!!!

If you've never seen Predator before, you have to. Sci Fi classic.

Richard Maurer

I like your persistence, Joe, but Nat has unfortunately pretty much closed the door on both MM and She-Hulk. But don't let me stop you, maybe she'll change her mind.

Richard Maurer

And one was a former boxing Heavyweight Champ........ oh wait, that wasn't real. I get confused sometimes ;-)

Phillip Elbert

I am blown away by the consistency of the type of movies you guys pick for her. Its like having to fight tooth and nail for the best movies.

Richard Maurer

Yeah, when I was writing that reply there were no other replies listed, so I deleted it when I saw the that other replies explained what you were talking about.

Razor Bikini

Top Gun is fine, but you should watch it so you can watch Maverick, which is excellent.

LightsCameraJake

Top gun losing again? Not shocked at all lol. Everybody says you wouldn't like it yet every reactor who's watched it has enjoyed it for what it is, a fun movie with heart to it. Both Top Gun movies are just very fun.

Richard Maurer

Jarhead is slang for a US marine corp member, which MG was not. You might want to edit that out of your comment.

Erik Stevenson

Very interesting poll, I'm a bit surprised at the results so far!

Erik Stevenson

Personally I don't see any real need/requirement to watch Predator before Prey. Movie totally works as an entry point to the series/stands alone.

Patrick Egan

I don't think it's essential to watch earlier Predator movies before watching Prey, but I definitely think seeing the original Predator enhances the enjoyment of Prey. Same with Predator 2, but to a lesser degree.

Jeff K.

I've never watched Ex Machina, so I went with Predator. It's a classic, and lets you get to Prey, which is a fantastic movie. Regarding Top Gun: I've always thought it was super overrated, personally. It's fine? But I never got the hype. Maverick, however, is terrific and well worth getting to by watching the original first.

Hertzweil

Woo hoo! Ex Machina rox!

Dante

Finally time for Ex Machina!

Brandon Corcoran

Love Ex Machina. A great slow-burn/suspense mix.

simon.shoots

Braveheart / Exmachina :) top gun maybe later

Sweetness940

need to watch Mystic River at some point

Joe Blankenship

I pay my $5/month, and I joined mostly for Marvel. Nothing else I can do if she doesn't wanna finish what she started. I really liked those shows. I think she'll like them too.

Fostena

Top Gun: Maverick is very good. The first one is ok but it's a classic.

REDR58

Predator is the perfect action film and Top Gun is fine but so many reactors have done those lately. Ex Machina is the best film on the list and should be watched first.

REDR58

Totally agree. Short and easy to get through as well.

REDR58

That's too bad. MM is very good and She Hulk is the funniest thing the MCU has done in a long time. It was a real nice antidote to the slog of a mess that was Obi-Wan when they were both on at the same time.

Kevin Bartelen

Whenever I see Brave Heart, I keep thinking of Dragon Heart. That would also be a good one.

MadIcelander

How is Top Gun not winning lol. C'mon ya'll.....you don't wanna see Nat react to Top Gun Maverick? Top Gun Maverick is superior to all of these and watching the original is the first step.

Richard Maurer

While I agree that she'd probably enjoy them I understand her point about them too. She's has a lot of more popular shows to watch during her limited time and, let's face it, neither of these shows did particularly well in the ratings and probably wouldn't do well for her on YT either. While YT views aren't the only consideration, they are a real one, along with how many of her viewers were being served, both here and on YT, as I haven't really seen a flood of requests for these shows. I supported her decision not to watch Rings of Power (which I despise) for the same reasons she's not watching MM or She-Hulk, so I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't support her reasoning now.

MadIcelander

Braveheart is better than Ex Machina. Fight me :)

Richard Maurer

@ David - My father was a gunny during WWII, I will always support the Marines.

Joe Blankenship

Everybody that I talk to liked it. It's only the randos on the internet that didn't like it. Like I said, I pay my 5... doesn't mean I have to continue. I don't care about trends

Mastervodo

This definitely needs to be on lists going forward. Dredd is absolutely underrated.

Mastervodo

I like all these. Gonna go with Predator. She would like that one.

Kel

Ex Machina

Jo

Nat's reaction to the Bill and Frank episode of TLoU was everything lol

Slick447

They can take our Braveheart, but they'll never take our Ex Machina!!!

Wu Sha Ling

wanna see nat scratch her brain a bunch, so it's ex machina for me. also oscar's sweet moves

—thoughtstorms—keith—

Does anyone else feel like Natalie doesn't need to trouble with all of these polls? She's very humble, and wouldn't say any of this, so i will. Nat is the only reactor i pay to watch. She's the best. Smart, funny, SO fully engaged... and the biggest heart. I'm 1,000% pleased with whatsoever she chooses to watch. (Although Last of Us was a big concern... are we paying a wonderful person to experience panic attacks and nightmares? Should.....we maybe not so much? Although it was and is her call!) I don't know. I guess i sound a right fanboy, but i have noticed for years that the internet hasn't been this great for a LONG minute!! (The polls are interesting and entertaining, 🐝-☕-W.)

Richard Rolen

Love Ex Machina and always love Alicia Vikander's work, but if she hasn't seen a classic like Braveheart I have to vote for that. Also... she really needs to see Predator.

Daniel Ortiz

Ex Machina 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Ian

Gotta be Ex Machina

Daniel Vezina

You must have a closed circle 'cause half the peoples I talked to about those shows, have found them at the bottoms of Marvels production.

Shawn E Mercado

I picked ex machina but only because I figured you've seen Braveheart

Thomas Malley

This was a tough one. Predator is classic. Ex Machina is just in a different category. I guess I would love to see your reaction to both, but it's more important that you get to see Ex Machina.

Rune Kristensen

Maverick is a great movie. But it doesn't hold a candle to the movies on this list.

WWW

Hey Natalie, if you're thinking of what shows to watch next I'd suggest Peaky Blinders (12 episodes in total) OR would be great to see you react to The Haunting of Bly Manor - same creators of Hill House! <3

Joe Blankenship

Everybody has a closed circle, unless you know everybody in the world? I don't know, man. Y'all say "she's not chasing trends" but then turn around and say "Ms. Marvel wasn't trendy enough." Which is it? Also, these Patreon comments are nothing but dudes. You'd think maybe a woman would like a show about a woman superhero. Or will everyone's feelings get hurt when She-Hulk makes derogatory comments about men? I remember a LOT of butt-hurt dudebros back when She-Hulk was on. Anyway, happy International Women's Day.

Bret Moore

I think she made me cry as much as she did. Great episode

RonJon

Maverick is a great film, but definitely not superior to all of these

Kelvin

hope predator ties so we get both

SilentBobFather

How long does she keep polls open for, usually?

SilentBobFather

Last time there was a tie she did another poll. Eventually she reacted to both.

Stephen K

Should do Predator and then Prey, no need to touch the rest of the franchise. Ex Machina is really great though, would love to see that one.

kenneth radd

I would say Predator 2 and then Prey, but would skip the rest

MadIcelander

Agree to strongly disagree lol. But to each their own.

Ben Curran

Pretty surprised at the result tbh. If you havent seen any of these movies Braveheart is by far what I think you would enjoy the most and be the best movie in the list. These are all good movies tho.

David Sumner

I find Braveheart entertaining but I really dislike it when movies deviate so much from history to the point where a person watching the movie is almost less educated than a person who never saw it.

Joey Johansen

Has Nat ever watched A Quiet Place 2?

Baron Imhoof

I'm older than dirt, got a degree in film studies and history, and this is a never ending argument. I can remember my dad and his brother going around and around over Tora Tora Tora in the early 1970s, then the debate 30 years later we had at work in 2001 when Pearl Harbor came out.

Rey

Ex machina is finally winning, thrilled for this

Logan Kerlee

Thinking that she hasn't. May be wrong though.

jamie jones

Even predators was fine. Just not the predator, dunno what they were thinking there.

Thoko

Yes, I'm excited to watch it with her. Such a great story and the characters are all a fantastic experience to get to know!

Jenny Tolls

Ex Machina was so boring 🥱 not original at all and very predictable. It’s not an awful movie but I don’t understand why it’s revered so much.

minuteforce

Emilia Clarke isn't in it

Jenny Tolls

My bad I thought she was in it! It’s been so long since I’ve seen the movie. The robot looks just like her lol

Mastervodo

Cheese and Rice! Why can't the people who don't want to see a movie winning in the polls be happy for the people whose movie IS winning? Just don't watch it!

Wu Sha Ling

normally ignore these cliche opinions, but if you're genuinely curious. i've worked 9 years at an arthouse theater and i've found a distinction between all films regardless of genre or narrative structure. movies that tell you the story, giving you everything. and movies that draw curiosity, an emotion, or school of thought. i call these "homework" movies, you do half the work. ex machina shows you events, you have to fiddle out the machinations. ofcourse you can take the movie at face value, but the directing leaves enough space for intellectual exploration. other examples would be stalker, the fountain, in the mood for love, american psycho... they're few, but highly regarded. and for original and predictable, 99% of movies are made to be like that on purpose. most people like patterns and comfortable films. those 2 arguments are so cliche and pointless as it is saying the sun is bright and hot. not a dig, but years of observation. saying it's boring is legitimate tho, personal opinion. not every movie is made for every person, that would be impossible

Ian
>>103672286

Or at least just keep your negative opinions to yourself or your therapist and move on with your day

Richard Maurer

Wow, that was a lot. For the record, I liked both these shows a lot but I have to be realistic. They did not do well in the ratings, and while part of that was a concerted effort by the anti-woke police it doesn't change that fact. To put them on the channel Natalie would have make an executive decision (because they would lose in a real poll) for shows that only a minority of her patrons care about and that would tank on YT. I was one of the people advocating for these shows and I always gave likes to anyone who was advocating for them, including you Joe, but I'm sorry to say I just don't think it's going to happen.

Jenny Tolls

This is an over analysis of my comment lol

Jenny Tolls

Or maybe learn to deal with different opinions. Not everything in life is gonna be positive. And it’s not like people are trashing the movie lol

Richard Maurer

I would say if you're looking for historical accuracy don't watch a movie, as movies are all fiction, to varying degrees. Watch a documentary instead.

Richard Maurer

People love to argue. Fight me if you disagree!

Logan Kerlee

I see Ex Machina getting love.. how many of ya'll were fans of Vox Machina? Think we could get Natalie to watch that?

Chris Moon

I’m surprised Braveheart has the lowest votes right now, maybe some of you guys in the comment section need to check it out too…

Joe Blankenship

Well, gee I hope Mandalorian season 3 gets trending. That's the first thing I watched with her when I joined... 3 years ago? wow. Doesn't seem that long.

Trish Murphy

I don’t think I’m your target audience because I always pick least liked on your polls. please, please watch Andor 🙏✌️💙

Richard Maurer

I think polls help her gauge what her fans are interested in, this especially goes for older movies, but I wouldn't mind if she made some choices of her own more often.

Unsecret Identity

Can't believe you haven't seen Braveheart! that would be my choice, then again i haven't seen Ex machina and seems like a totally different thing and really want to watch it. Predator is a true Arnold super testosterony classic and of movies in that category i will say it's among my favs. Besides Terminator it's the one with the most famous Arnold phrases too.

Squ33ky

Haven't seen Ex Machina in a Ling while. Once in theater once after. So I'm up for that again

Myles Away

I am both shocked and delighted to see Ex Machina winning against large blockbusters.

Anthony GUERIN

Can't see any of the options, is it because the poll is closed or is it a me and my devices problem ?

WastedPo

I think it's something on your end. Even when polls are closed, they still are able to be seen.

Logan Kerlee

xD That's very true. It's an amazing series that's loved by many, though. I really love the show and figured if the show got some love then she may give it a shot.

David Sumner

I really want to see her react to Commando (1986). That is peak Schwarzenegger! Or she could react to Roadhouse (1989). I don't get why more people don't react to Roadhouse! It is reaction gold!

Skizane

Braveheart is a massive sweeping historical epic with one of the best scores ever written. I like all four picks in this poll but Braveheart is on a whole different level here.

Ben Curran

100% these are all great movies but the fact that Braveheart is last is mind boggling

Liam Nissan

not true.. X M A C H I N A... That's 8 whole letters they have in common..

Logan Kerlee

Nah, dude peak Schwarzenegger will always be The Terminator. Nothing tops that.

Rog

Out of these I'd go predator cuz she'd be freaking out watching that movie. It'd be hilarious but I'm still pushing for "The Equalizer "movies the best Denzel movies since Training Day to me, which also would be a good reaction movie.

David Sumner

The problem with Braveheart is that it is completely inaccurate. A person knowing nothing about this historical event will be given a very incorrect view of what happened in real life. The movie might as well have been set in a fantasy realm like Game of Thrones.

Sean Turner

I'd love to see you watch the Scream films at some point if you haven't already.

Mr. Every

I enjoyed The Fountain. Definitely much stranger than Ex Machina.
