Help me pick a shorter show to dive into while watching The Boys!

If The Mandalorian wins, I will watch the two necessary episodes of Boba Fett beforehand as Patreon exclusive viewings for The Gold Standard Tier.

Darryl Low

Happy Wednesday Nat. We definitely need some Ted back in our lives 😊 Hope you are having an awesome week off 💛

John Couteau

How is andor beating daredevil 🤦🏻‍♂️

eskimoking37

What are the necessary episodes of Boba Fett? I was about to start season 3 of the mandalorian but not bothered with Boba Fett as not keen on the actor.

Kate

How about we do both andor and mando 😂

Andy

Wow what a set of choices. Can you do Mando s3, Ted Lasso s3 AND Andor please?

Daniel Molina

Its 3 episodes btw! Episodes 5, 6, & 7!

2026-09-06 12:00 Daredevil react apparently is just going to end at season 1…?
2023-03-15 16:04

Gerard Beatty

Gotta start putting Legend of Vox Machina on these lists

Troy

Excellent choices all-around. I went with Andor. It does kind of take awhile to get going, in my opinion it took 4 episodes for everything to come together, but once it does holy crap is it enjoyable!

Śéáń

Andor is so underrated. As much as I'd love to revisit Daredevil, I have to put in for Andor. It's so good.

Alberto Ramirez

I love Andor, but you gotta finish up Daredevil before jumping into another show

Jeremy York

Andor was fantastic, it got my vote, but any of them are good

Tom Fehr

Andor Andor Andor Andor. It’s so good

Bobby Kraus

Andor Andor Andor Andor Andor Andor Andor Andor Andor Andor

Mike Hell

Honestly you're probably gonna end up watching all of these at some point but to stay relevant on YT, probably Ted Lasso. All good choices, though!

Tim

Sorry Nat…

Paul Morales

I’m just waiting for the Last of Us finale!!

Axel Dietze

Hell yes! I am convinced Nat would fall in love with this show.

Vince Ledezma

Too soon for ted lasso reaction she usually late on reactions

Steve J

write in vote for Expanse

Adverb

Andor is the best show that has come out in years, and I can't believe I'm saying that about a star wars show.

Troy

I should rewatch episode 1 of Andor, because the first time around it didn't compel me to keep watching, so perhaps I missed something.

Jorgalorg

I don’t think there are any necessary episodes of Boba Fett, pretty bad from start to finish

SilverWolf

I still haven't watched Andor so I'd love to watch it with Nat! 😁

eskimoking37

Thanks, I’m happy to hear that, I don’t want to watch it 😂

Brian Kidling

New season of Mando is booty. Andor is okay star wars but ted lasso is definitely the best show on here!!! Lets go Ted LASSO!!!!

Chuck Bosworth

Since JD wasn't helpful at all, it's episodes 5 and 6. They are almost standalone episodes.

Daniel McGuinness

Honestly Andor had great moments but overall it’s a real slog to get through 😮‍💨 you should continue the mandalorian first x

Brian Kidling

Or we just allow Star Wars die because its content is beyond mediocre. Andor is such a snooze in the beginning we are going to torture poor natalie like we did with obiwan

JukeSidewalker

Day 2 of commenting till Nat watches Barry. No luck yet but I will keep trying. Hey Nat long time fan, I was really hoping you could check out the show Barry. The short version of the plot is; a ex Marine, turned Hitman, named Barry (played by Bill Hader) is sent to Cali for a assassination job. Upon trying to take out his target he realizes he wants to take up acting. The acting classes he takes begin to conflict with his assassin work. With his two lives blending together, Barry has to decide which path he wants to continue down. Assassin or Actor? I know what you're thinking, "the plot doesn't sound like it works". Surprisingly it does. Barry is considered a dark comedy but it is full of suspense too, best of all its wrtitten, produced and acted out by Bill Hader. The show was nominated for 44 Emmys and won 9 of them. Bill Hader comes from a comedy background so he has the funny parts down, it's the dark side of Bill that I love in his acting Seeing as to how you talk about being a theater kid I would like your commentary on this show. Thanks, stay golden.

Brian Kidling

Its not, star wars fans can be given 1 grain of stale rice and they'd claim its the best rice in the whole wide world as long as its called star wars rice

Chuck Bosworth

There's a reason they released the first 3 together. While I was compelled after just 1 episode, I understand why others might not. Episode 3 ramps up the action.

Zavooloo

yo if andor wins imma metaphorically nut

Noah Catalino

Need to see Band or Brothers back on here for a vote. It’s a must watch and only 10 episodes

adrianR31

Re: tv/film, Andor is the best star wars media ever made. It stands on it's own even without the franchise behind it and almost in spite of it. It isn't a comedy like everything else before it and the Empire is actually frightening.

Daniel Roberts

Andor is currently winning? *Facepalm* Voted Daredevil. Awesome story. Lots to enjoy.

Joe Blankenship

I'm ready for more Ted Lasso. I love Star Wars but I only really get in the mood for it maybe twice a year.

Daniel Vezina

I'm seriously hoping that the peoples that are raving about "The Last Of Us" are not the same that are saying "Andor" is slow burn.

Eve

Seems like DD S3 will be a loooong wait

Brian Kidling

Last of Us is miles, miles ahead of andor in quality. By episode 3 we have had 2 of the best episodes of TV for the past couple years. By episode 3 of andor people are likely to just stop watching because nothing happens. Its another D quality D+ type show

Jenny Tolls

Idc which one wins but I’m surprised The Mandalorian was the least voted for lol don’t y’all wanna see more of Baby Yoda?? Lol

Jadan Vines

Natalie you should watch bridgerton! It’s so much lighter but still so deep and season 2 is fantastic!

Mike Hell

yes I change my vote to The Expanse, as well

David Sumner

I picked Ted Lasso S3 out of the 4 and it wasn't close. The first 5 episodes of Daredevil S2 are brilliant but the rest of the season is meh. I have stopped caring about Star Wars and won't bother with any new SW shows or movies. Same goes for Marvel stuff for that matter. I'm most looking forward to Ted Lasso S3 because it feels like so much of our entertainment is dark and grim these days. Even the comedies where no one dies is just trying to be so EDGY. It's a bummer.

Kate

Exactly!

2026-09-06 12:00 DareDevil so we are one step closer to The Punisher and Luke Cage
2023-03-15 16:25

Brian Kidling

I think a lot of people are upset they rewrote the ending to S2 mando inside the book of boba fett. Mando isnt getting near the attention it has in prior seasons.

Daniel Vezina

LOL What a snooze fest. Nothing is happening, if not for Nat anxiety attack(for no reason, 'cause nothing if f***ing happening. I would have fall asleep on most episode. Sorry for not caring about characters that you know are not gonna survive the episode.

Myoclonic Jerk

I'd ask you to consider Peripheral. I think it would be fun for us to watch a show few of us have already watched, so we'd be having a first view at the same time you are. And I imagine not as many people have seen Peripheral - it's nowhere near as popular or promoted as a Star Wars show - though the premise seems cool. Any show that most of us haven't seen would work, though.

Kelvin

I would suggest Darkplace immediately ahead of these (and it’s also a shorter show than the current selection). But of the list, Andor all the way

ResoluteRiot

Andor is to fresh in my mind,Mando Season 3 is currently airing. Have not watched Ted Lasso Yet. I have not seen DareDevil Season 2 in a while so DareDevil

Logan Kerlee

All solid picks but in going with Daredevil.

The Hedge Knight

Let's get back in to Daredevil which is already complete. Wait on Mandalorian and Ted Lasso until we can get a couple episodes a week.

Rebecca Solomon

Andor was so good, I already feel up for a re-watch.

David McDonald

Idk season 2 of Ted Lasso was a major step down in quality, and the season 3 premiere actually made me cringe more than it made me laugh. I hate to say it because I love season 1 so much, but that show has really lost its magic.

Erik Stevenson

Very surprised by the results of this poll so far!

Logan Kerlee

I'M WAITING FOR IT!! Seriously amped to get her to watch the show!

Myoclonic Jerk

Andor is a slow burn, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Slow cooking is really the only way to make pulled pork, after all. Andor is that way. When you first put it on the spit, it's not terribly exciting. But slowly you begin to notice that it's starting to smell better and better. And when you get to the end, you're rewarded with tasty pork butt. (This analogy brought to you by a delightful mental health chemical cocktail.😁)

Dominique Cloet

Because she-hulk ruined his character. And based an that appearance, people unfamiliar with the netflix show won’t be interested in it.

Erik Stevenson

There was a huge wave of people telling her she had to react to the entire Netflix Marvel catalogue. If people had reigned that in and just let her watch DD we'd probably already be through at least the first two seasons.

Mastervodo

Was going to go with Ted. Wholesome. Nat would love. It would be great YT numbers. But seems now a throwaway vote. I don't think Andor is the best anything, let alone SW IP. But, going to change vote to Andor because I think it would do better numbers for Nat than a 2nd season of an 8 year old inconsequential Marvel character. I like Daredevil and the Punisher as much as the next person. But doesn't mean Nat has to react to everything Marvel.

Logan Kerlee

Seriously love how well you put that!! I'm a big fan of Barry! Watched all of it and really enjoyed myself.

Logan Kerlee

Has my support! Love that show.

Ryan Cornett

Nikita with Maggie Q “Looks do kill”

Steven

Legend of Vox Machina

Logan Kerlee

YUP! Holy crap, just realized that Nat hasn't watched those yet. We've seriously failed her.

Kev Martin

Would have voted for Mando, but I can't support the lunacy of skipping most of Season 2.5 (The Book Of Boba Fett).

djKENTO

You should watch Andor… I was pretty over it too (and I’m a tie hard fan… multiple tattoos) but Andor is LEGIT GREAT TV. Not just great Star Wars but more… It’s incredible.

Brian Kidling

Daredevil was actually her best show of 2022 for viewers

Myoclonic Jerk

Or Star Wars. Personally, I thought she put up four bad choices, and I just held my nose and voted for the lesser evil.

Geoffrey T. Blackwell

A great selection but Andor was just so good. The Wire would be a great series for a reaction. Nice short seasons and it's great to see so many familiar actors early in their careers.

Myoclonic Jerk

They did what to the who now? What means thee by "they rewrote the ending to S2 mando inside the book of boba fett?" ('m just a casual watcher. Did something happen I should know about?)

Aleks

Andor is a masterpiece

Myoclonic Jerk

Why does everyone keep referencing Book of Boring Fett in regards to Mandolorian? I'm a casual viewer and I feel like I missed something.

Carsten Froehlich

I've hoped the white lotus will appear again at a poll

Slick447

That'd be a fun and quick watch.

Ethan yeoman

The last 2 episodes are essentially mandalorian season 2.5

Ethan yeoman

I recommend watching both of the last episode as they are the only good thing about the show in my opinion

Jeffrey J Marshall

You probably need to watch Book of Boba Fett before Mandalorian season 3 though.

Berry

Andor surprised me with how good it is. Just a very well crafted and interesting show, much better than other recent Star Wars content. I'll gladly rewatch it. Ted Lasso is cool too though.

Christopher

Pretty important story beats occur in the last couple episodes of Boba Fett for major characters in Mandalorian

Christopher

It’s slower than most shows, but good once you get through like the first 4 episodes imo. The issue I have is that imo for a show to do reactions to, it has very few reaction channel worthy moments.

Stephen Ray

Can someone just watch the last 2 episodes?

Dante

100x better than anything on this poll

Jason Gillman

Disappointed to see Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk missing from the poll so I’ll vote Andor I guess.

Daniel Ortiz

Can’t go wrong with either of these tbh

Abraham

I could never be behind on Star Wars shows, lol. I vote for Andor and getting started on Mandalorian anyway

Lychee
>>104115708

Yes, please. Probably the best sci-fi show in decades and actually good from start to finish. Can't be mad about Andor winning either though.

Sion Roberts

Episodes 5 and 6 are just straight up mandalorian episodes you can just watch. Episode 7 goes back to been about Boba Fett but it does include Mando and answers a episodes 6's cliffhanger, the bulk of that episode does rely on build up from the first 4 episodes though but honestly your probably still fine.

Sam Kimpton

I picked Andor because, much like Rogue One, it doesn't get the credit it deserves. I admit that I wasn't sure about Andor after watching the first episode, I thought it was a bit slow, and I went a few weeks before watching the 2nd episode. But it's such a fantastic story.

Martin

Andor. It’s the best Star Wars series released to date, IMO. Even better than Mando. World-building and set design are incredible.

Jorgalorg

I also vote Barry. Digestible episodes with humour and pathos.

jamie jones

You just gonna copy and paste this post on everything nat posts? 🙄

jamie jones

Youre logic is seriously flawed, daredevil season 1 was among her most popular youtube videos

John Cedar
>>104125476

Because it wasn't the Book of Boba Fett, it was the Book of The Tusken Raiders, Fennec, and Mando. Boba Fett was just Temura Morrison having a good time and keeping none of the characteristics of an imperial bounty hunter or a silent badass from previous stories. Plus, the pacing and design of some characters/vehicles were fucking amateur; the mods looked awful and their shiny chrome vehicles and cringe acting shattered the suspension of disbelief, it was so bad. The highlight of their episode was a lukewarm 30 mph chase scene on Tatooine. They legit looked like bad Star Wars cosplayers but in actual Star Wars. The fact that it just departed from Boba Fett to a completely different story and suddenly became 10x as watchable is all that needs to be said, honestly. Out of all the recent Disney Star Wars stuff, only Obi-Wan is worse. I liked the train hijacking episode though, it was decent.

Ryan

Ted Lasso would be my choice after the Last of Us and Arcane before that, I think it’s time to give Nat something Positive to watch.

Sonia Deepak

Has Natalie reacted to Sandman on Netflix? That only has one season and it was very good

Myles Away

Andor is truly fantastic. Best thing Star Wars has done since Empire. I really hope that wins. I am in the mood for a rewatch.

Jenny Tolls

I think they’re talking about how at the end of Mando S2, Grogu was supposed to go with Luke Skywalker but then they changed it to him hanging out with Boba Fett. So I can see the frustration there.

Daniel McGuinness

That’s fair, and Nat has a lack of interest for Star Wars content as it is, I don’t think the Andor struggle would help. I’m still campaigning for TCW lmao 😭

Wild_Lee_Coyote

Andor is it’s own slice of Star Wars and shows why there is a rebellion instead of just saying there is one.

Aequitas_Veritas

Come on season 2 DD, so good, and intro of punisher, band of brother would like to see pop back up on a poll too sometime

Ben Wheeler

I will be equally happy with any of these

REDR58

I found TBOBF far more enjoyable than Obi-Wan (not really hard) and Andor overall. I know Andor gets lot of high praise and some of it is quite good, but for me it's a slog and a half to get through the sloooooooowwww parts to the good stuff. I doubt I will revisit Obi-Wan or Andor again.

REDR58

Totally agree. Some of my favorite MCU stuff. She should do them for Marvel Mondays. The episodes are short and she could knock out 2 at a time.

Austin

I hope you decide to watch Ted Lasso season 3 at some point! But I am down with any of these options, the poll is currently tied so can't wait to see how this shakes out.

Adam Doyle

Good Omens on Netflix... then Sandman. Also some quicker shows like Love & Robots could be fun.

Kev Martin

The whole show is part of The Mandalorian storyline with multiple characters that are in both shows. Plus its a good show in its own right, and honestly how incredibly disrespectful to the creators is it to watch the whole of Live Action Star Wars, except for a specific handful of episodes of this show because some haters hated that it wasn't exactly what THEY wanted? And the haters can't even agree on which episodes qualify. Mando is in 3 of the 7 episodes, not 2. Just watch the show properly. As for Nat's choice, she could always run a poll on whether to watch all of it or only half of it.

Joshua Kon

Just because I dont want star wars im changing from ted lasso to DareDevil. Tired of Disney plus stuff

Richard Maurer

Sandman is amazing and unfortunately few have reacted to it.

Richard Maurer

Could you make it shorter? I don't mind advocating for a series or movie but after posting your manifesto once you could just remind her to watch and let it go at that. If this were my channel and someone kept spamming such a long post there's no way I'd consider doing the show until they stopped.

Richard Maurer

I love it when people basically write that they're done with Marvel/Star Wars therefore we need to stop watching them. I know this comes as a shock but many people disagree with you. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean Natalie should stop putting them on polls to please you.

Thoko

I did the same thing as you. I totally agree about Disney Plus. Too much Star Wars/Marvel. They must be stopped! lol

Richard Maurer

This show and Obi-Wan get a lot of irrational hate. Are they great shows? No. Are they anywhere near as bad as people make them out to be? Also no.

Richard Maurer

Unfortunately, she said in a recent livestream she most likely won't be doing them. Which translates to she definitely won't be doing them.

Richard Maurer

No and I wish she would, but I've never even heard her mention it so I'm not holding my breath

Myles Away

Vote for whatever you like but these statements make me think you never watched Andor. Is that accurate? I ask because its unlike any Disney+ content. The series felt like it should have been on HBO.

Richard Maurer

I thought I'd be voting for Mando when I came here because i expected it to be winning easily anyway. But since it's not I voted DD2, Andor is a good series but is such a slow burn, especially the first half of the season, that I'm not sure it would make for a good reaction.

jamie jones

Reminds me of the arcane guy, but less aggressive

Garrett

That is a fair sentiment, but Marvel bought the Defenders and their solo shows. They have been migrated to D+ if you are accessing from the states. I personally want DD2 to win, but depending on your region, I just wanted to give a heads up.

Cliff

Andor might be my favorite live action Star Wars series. It’s really good

Rey

Pretty neck and neck rn

Christopher

It’s not a good reaction show, it’s a good show but not for reactors imo, also I think Mando isn’t getting votes for 2 reasons, it hasn’t finished yet so people don’t know what she could potentially be reacting to and the fact that she would need to watch at least 2-3 episodes of boba Fett to get the story going into Mando season 3

Lorenzo Turner

Sorry boys, but season 2 of Daredevil is much too lit. She's gotta watch it.

Richard Maurer

If you remember Natalie herself put that (the entire Netflix catalog) on a poll and it won. Then shockingly the people who voted for that wanted her to actually do the thing that they voted for. Let's not rewrite history, okay?

Richard Maurer

@ Brian - actually I've found Star Wars fans to be extremely picky - look no further than BoBF, Obi-Wan, the prequal trilogy for fans being way too picky.

Trey Williamson

Andor = best Star Wars created to date. Watch it!

jamie jones

Erik likes to forget it won the poll (twice) but then a subsection of ppl went ballistic in the comments with erik himself stating he hoped nats youtube channel would fail if she did it.

Banana Hammocks

if daredevil season 2 wins please watch andor after because it was so close

Banana Hammocks

i would love for you to watch daredevil season 2 but from your other reactions i think andor could end up being your favorite star wars thing

Jason Gillman

Which means I’ll just keep requesting and commenting on their absence.

TwistedMagoo

DD season 2 is fine, so I won't be mad, but Andor is a fantastic show. Has my vote.

Jason Gillman

Hopefully the people that voted Mando will see that they need to change their votes to Andor

THE LORE!!!

This makes no sense since Daredevil is on Disney+ but ok.

THE LORE!!!

Andor all the way. One way out!!! Mando S3 requires either watching Boba Fett or reading a plot synopsis of the last few episodes. Andor is the best live action representation of the Star Wars universe so far.

Kraackin

andor all the way. But also do DD2

Sam Didi

I have been hoping for a Daredevil S2E1 reaction for some time now!

David Sumner

Yup, that is totally what I wrote. The second I get bored with an IP, I demand that nobody else watch it.

DDK

Andor!!🤘🏾

Richard Maurer

Exactly. They cried about it till Natalie changed it, then called the people who voted for it crybabys when we were upset over the flip-flop. Believe me, the whole history of that unfortunate incident is burned into my brain.

Richard Maurer

Well, I meant watch them here, not in general. This comments section has several people besides yourself talking about how they're done with Marvel/ Star Wars as if we're all supposed to care, and I just got sick of seeing it. Nobody fucking cares about Ted Lasso, just another sitcom I don't want to watch - see how annoying that is?

Trish Murphy

Wow I’m in the top 50% for a change. Andor. You won’t regret it for a minute. I promise. Love you Nat ✌️💚

Angel Sanchez

I could go for some Marvel Mondays

eemersonm

Run off here we go???? Andor FTW

Colter

Doctor Who

William R Coughlan

Don’t get me wrong — definitely want you to watch all of these. But a couple I think we can wait a bit for.

Joao

Omg I hope Andor Wins

Joao

Those who voted Mandalorian, switch to Andor, Mandalorian is losing so let’s give it to Andor, Mando will win next

Rog

Never got in to Star Wars too much I've seen couple movies which I liked but never got into the spinoff shows. I can say the daredevil series was great and since he's coming back, I think next year with his new MCU series, Nat you gotta get as much back story as possible.

Andy

People please don't let DD s2 win over Andor. It's the worst DD season and Andor is the best Star Wars season

Logan Kerlee

While that may be true (I'm not arguing with you on this), watching Daredevil means we're that much closer to watching The Punisher. I've wanted Natalie to watch that for a long while.

Logan Kerlee

It is now, Sean but it didn't begin there. I'm pretty sure that's what Joshua was implying.

Logan Kerlee

This is where my vote would go.

Dooly

The correct answer here is Andor.

HeyItsSuper

I'm happy with all 4 of these, I'm sure we'll get reactions to all at some point

Matt_D_370z

The Great, Reservation Dogs, The Queen's Gambit, or The Wire

Richard Maurer

DD2 will definitely do better on YT than Andor. Just saying........

Martin7777

Absolutely not. DD2 is old.

xena

vote andor... one of us one of us one of us one of us

Ryan

I voted for Ted Lasso, but I can be bought so Andor and DD fans start your biding.

Inhale Burrito

Season 2 dd for sure. I've been waiting for you to meet the new characters and the first half is mint tv.

Thoko

The most popular TV series overall on her channel is much older (Avatar The Last Airbender)

Declan Molloy

Look at it this way. Andor has a cute funny droid does DD? Didn’t think so

jamie jones

Martin, compare how daredevil season 1 performed against obiwan

Jo

Here's to hoping Nat decides to watch Ted Lasso on her own like she did with season 1 because it's not looking good lol

Rev.J

So, just a point about Andor – it is a SLOW burn! Best viewed (especially the first three) in three eps sitting. Otherwise after the first ep you’ll say it’s boring. Trust me it so isn’t. The show lets the characters evolve, which recent Star Wars shows arn’t doing, and then ramps up to the end of that ‘chapter’. Batches of three are the way to go (nope not gonna say THAT line). Also, not to be spoilerific – pay attention to the theme music… ;-)

Arthur Bright

I'd heard it was best in fours. Is threes better? I've been meaning to get back to it myself, as I didn't get into it while it was airing in real time.

Arthur Bright

Honestly, all of these are probably safe bets (unless Mando 3 or Lasso 3 end up having surprise downturns in quality as they air). I'd think it's just a matter of when you watch them, not if.

Aleksander

I think its best in 3's. Especially the first 6 episodes.

Erik Stevenson

I'm just calling out the truth - expecting Nat to watch the entire Netflix Marvel show list quite obviously caught her off guard and derailed the Daredevil reactions, which was compounded by Jessica Jones doing bad numbers on YouTube. If you want to pretend otherwise feel free. Before this poll, Daredevil season two lost two other polls. If Iron Fist or Luke Cage can actually win a stand alone poll against other actual shows, rather than a generic "watch in suggested viewing order" option, then Nat will watch them. You guys get mad because deep down you know that IF and LC will never win a stand alone poll.

Rev.J

Definitely three. I could name all the four chapters, of three parts, but that would be spoilerific. I was lucky enough to be at the show premier here in London that was the first three shown in a cinema and I was buzzing by the end. Obi-Wan and Boba Fett were such a let down, you’d think both would be so easy to be successful before they were released… and Andor – *shrug*. But it is all down to Tony Gilroy – Rogue One and Andor creator. Anyways I’m singing Andor praises, which I think I watched all the way through 3-4 times now. DD is great, don’t get me wrong (I’m certainly nervous that they are gonna cock it up for the new version, I’ve so lost faith any any current MCU release), and it does lead into Punisher. Do both, just do Andor first… in threes.

SmokeAndACoffee

Hoping for Daredevil Season 2 on this one! The whole cast from all three seasons of DD is just so excellent, and season 2 has one of my favorites. Those who know, know xD

Chris H

Yeah Andor was a good a good show but I don't think it's the best choice for reactions. Daredevil is much more fun.

Richard Maurer

Well that stirred things up while I was asleep. While Andor might have some initial interest the first four episodes are going to be Natalie reacting mostly to people talking with a few bits of action here and there. Not exactly compelling reaction material. The only possible way that Andor might do better is there have been so few reactions to it. But I still think DD2 is more likely to do well.

Richard Maurer

Once again, she put the choice to watch all the Netflix shows on a poll, how exactly was she "caught off guard" by that? And don't say she didn't expect it to win, because that's a silly answer.

Matthew

All are excellent choices! The Mandalorian is too early to tell, but it's off to a good start. Ted Lasso is an easy pick on the strength of its first two seasons, and Daredevil carried over its momentum from S1. Andor, though, was surprisingly better then I expected.

Richard Maurer

Natalie would definitely need to do the first 4 episodes for YT to get enough good content for a video.

Richard Maurer

I keep hearing about what a great show Andor is, and while I think it could use some tightening up I generally agree. But my question is, is it really Star Wars? By that I mean it's almost too "deep" to have the feel of an actual Star Wars show. If you look at the original trilogy, which sets the tone for what SW is, It's basically a light-hearted space opera, with some underlying deeper themes, true, but not all that deep. This is not a knock at the OG trilogy, there's nothing wrong with being what it is. But when I was watching Andor I always had the feeling like I was watching something that was set in a slightly different part of the multiverse. (Spoiler Alert) there are no Jedi, no mention of the Force that I remember, few space battles or aliens. It just felt a little off to me.

Kate Herzig

That's fine if that's how you feel, but George Lucas literally based Stormtroopers off of Nazi's so this show decided to expand on that. Star Wars shouldn't just be one thing. Luke, Han, Leia, and the rest of the gang would not have succeeded without the Rebels. Their story deserves to be told. The people who died to save the universe isn't going to feel as fun. This wasn't as easy for them without help from the Force and you can't base all of Star Wars on the original trilogy. You need to expand if you want to thrive because we've seen that rehashing the same stories doesn't work. Andor is the War side of Star Wars. It absolutely belongs.

Mark Edwards

Andor by a long shot. It is so different from anything we have seen from SW and this is a good thing. Some might call it a slow burn but I call it deliberate progression of a storyline. Everything that happens builds from the choices the characters make and the consequences of those choices. The exploration of how regular people become radicalized, for good or evil, is superb. The fact that there are no jedi, no lightsabers, no use or mention of the force, is a blessing. The Star Wars universe is massive and the Jedi were only a small portion of that. Luke Skywalker's shot to destroy the Death Star may have been "one in a million" but he only succeeded on the backs of many, many others who gave everything to get the Rebellion to that defining moment. Andor brilliantly shows you what kind of conditions and sacrifice was needed to even start a Rebellion.

She's noted in multiple reaction videos/posts that "she didn't realize people would expect her to watch all the Marvel Netflix shows when Daredevil won it's original poll". I just take her words at face value. The "watch in suggested viewing order" poll was a poorly designed poll, I agree. It's also silly to expect one poll in one month of 2022 to determine 2+ years of reaction content which is her job and clearly based on JJ's YouTube views would put her income at risk. Either way, like I said, if Luke Cage or Iron Fist actually win a head to head poll then I won't complain about her watching them. I just don't view that as a particularly likely outcome.

Richard Maurer

I'm not saying Andor shouldn't have been made, or isn't important to Star Wars Canon. I'm just saying that, for me, it didn't really feel like "Star Wars", if that makes any sense. Even Rogue One had a some of that difference in tone, but not nearly as much as Andor. It just felt "off" to me.

Richard Maurer

Then that was silly of Natalie. Poll winner: watch all the Netflix shows; Natalie - "Wait, you actually want me to watch all the Netflix shows?" - Yes Natalie, that's what the majority voted for. I've said it before, If you don't really plan on doing something don't put it in a poll, and if you do put it in a poll and it wins, live up to your end of the bargain. To do anything else makes people question your honesty. I mean I'd would have been okay with her with saying "I'm going to have to space these out so it might take years to finish it, but it won the poll so I will eventually get it done.", Hell if she just came clean and said "look, I screwed up with that poll and I can't do it the way was worded, but as a compromise I'll watch DD s2 and put rest up to a vote." that would have been something. But to just completely flip it to where even DD season 2 has to win a poll was the wrong thing to do.

Summer

Ted Lasso was how I found your channel since reactions for the show were hard to come by. I don’t see it winning this poll but I really hope you give it a watch especially for some feel-good, wholesome content after the last of us ☺️

Anonymous Groucho

"and you can't base all of Star Wars on the original trilogy" I wish you had mentioned this to J.J. Abrams.

Anonymous Groucho

Against all odds, this DD clawed its way into the MCU and looks like it might win by a tiny sliver. If it does, it's clear Andor will eventually get a watch. And probably the rest once they finish their seasons.

Jacob King

I totally missed this poll but feel the need to write in either Paper Girls or Severance. Two of the absolute best SF television series of the streaming era and not Disney.

Jenny Tolls

I always get so excited for the polls lol because you never know what’s it’s gonna be! Tv shows? Movies? What genre of movies? So exciting lol

BettleBug

I love paper girls and I'm so sad that it got cancelled

Myles Away

The Paper Girls comic is fantastic

Richard Maurer

@ John - Boba Fett almost died in the Sarlacc pit, spent a lot of time (maybe a little too much episode time, granted) healing and learning from the sand people, and it changed him - surprise! I'd say anyone who wasn't changed by all that is a one dimensional character, but maybe that's what a lot of fans want? As for rest of your post some parts I agree with some I don't (the vespa gang (mods) were a misstep) but overall that would be quibbling. I found the series entertaining but certainly not great, you thought it was bad, to each his own.

Mike Hell

Okay I just read that Lance Reddick died and I'm calling an audible: Please watch The Wire! Nobody reacts to this amazing show and it needs way more recognition because it's an amazing series!

Marty McGee

To me he'll always be Broyles in Fringe.

Marty McGee

Nice to see Andor on the poll. Even if it doesn't win I hope that means it'll come back around.

Ryan

“And some of them are gonna be good police. Some of them are gonna be young and stupid. A few are gonna be pieces of shit. But all of them will take their cue from you. You show loyalty, they learn loyalty. You show them it’s about the work, it’ll be about the work. You show them some other kinda game, then that’s the game they’ll play… comes a day when you have to decide if it’s about you or about the work” yeah Nat forget these other shows watch The Wire

Anonymous Groucho

Yet your last name is Tolls and not Polls. You should be enjoying breaking change on highways.

Daniel Vezina

Luke is "supposed" to be the only Jedi in the Galaxy, the fact that we had Jedi in all other SW shows/movies is mindboggling to me. I've been role playing in the Star Wars Universe for over 25 years, Andor is the first time that I was really feeling like it was watching a Star Wars show and not a Jedi show.

Anonymous Groucho

So DD won. And it was my vote. But it'll be interesting to see how much of the Netflix series carries over into the MCU. Natalie hasn't reacted to She-Hulk, but she has seen Hawkeye and it seems clear Kingpin isn't exactly like the Netflix version. (I mean, he seems to have superpowers now.)

Richard Maurer

@ Daniel - Jedi are Star Wars, you can't separate the two. In fact Star Wars without Jedi is basically meaningless. And it was never said that luke was the only Jedi in the galaxy. Obi-wan and Yoda were training him to be the start of a new generation of Jedi, that doesn't mean that there were no Jedi scattered around the galaxy.

Richard Maurer

I think Natalie would love Buffy. She loved Firefly, after all.

Tyler Jennings

You need to watch Boba Fett before Mandalorian for the storyline !

Daniel Vezina

@ Richard Maurer, if you know your EU, prior to Disney buying the franchise, in the rebellion era, only a handful of force user were alive in the galaxy. So finally a show that reflects the the states of the era, not only on flashing sword, it's a nice change.

Dooly

Not really.

Robert Baldwin

Watch Andor, you will love the writing, the characters are real, they are three dimensional, and there are truly exceptional performances from so many on the show. the first two episodes are a little slow....but it is SO worth it.

Foxyguava

really just the one episode.

DMON

Andor also doesn't require you to have seen much of the other Star Wars shows.

pickyroman

Andor made Star Wars so real it's surreal. This show is vivid example of how authoritarian regime becomes desperate, trying to rule over people through fear and terror. Things depicted in this show literally happening to people in Belarus after massive protests in 2020.

Dean

Andor 1000%. It won a Peabody award this year. It is fantastic and your reactions would be amazing

Dean

Don’t punish yourself by watching Book of Boba Fett. It sucks and Mandalorian Season 3 was definitely worse than the previous seasons. It’s okay to bail on that train

Anonymous User

Still think you should watch afterlife.

Arkin Rocha

react to mandalorian pls
