Can’t believe you’ve never seen this. It’s a classic!

Jeff K.

Such a dumb but super fun movie. I hope you end I’m watching “Prey,” a prequel movie that came out… last year, I wanna say? It’s about indigenous warriors taking on a Predator, and it’s *great*.

Darryl Low

Happy Feature Friday Nat. Been looking forward to watching this one with ya all week 😊 Love that Stranger Things borrowed the name Jim Hopper, one of the skinned green berets, for David Harbour's character, and also the first victim is Hawkins, where Stranger Things is set 😄 Alan Silvestri's score is so cool. I loved the music so much when the movie came out, but as it was notoriously expensive to release orchestral score soundtracks in the 80s, due to the high re-use fees, it wasn't available and took over 10 years for the soundtrack to be released. Alan Silvestri learned and educated himself on how to score movies by reading textbooks about composition. He also wrote the Back to the Future score. This was one of the first 18 certificate movies my dad took me to, and we always used to laugh about the fact that during the village assault, probably the loudest action scene ever, he fell asleep! 😂 Thanks for an awesome, fun reaction today Nat. Definitely needed. I loved when Arnie was putting on his mud in the finale you said "You missed a spot"😂 Thanks for all you great work this week as always. Have a brilliant weekend 💛

Abraham

Watch prey !

Jeff K.

Also: since it came in second, I hope Karate Kid ends up on your docket too.

Stephen Lewis

Classic, looking forward to seeing this again. I watched it for the first time as a boy with my oldest brother on tv shortly before he passed away.

Marquis keel

Now u gotta watch predator vs aliens u set urself up🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

Mastervodo

Now you know quotes! "Get to the choppaaaah!" and " You're one ... ugly ... motherfuckah."

Boomcity

If this brings Nat 1 step closer to Prey I am hyped!!!

Logan Kerlee

I'm jumping on in and I'm EXCITED to watch this with you Natalie! :)

Daniel Green

Been waiting for this for so long. Hope you enjoyed the movie Nat. Director is John mcTiernan who was the same man who directed Die Hard one year later.

Ian

Happy happy Friday nat many of us in the discord have been wanting you to react to this for literally years and finally the time has come , so so excited although I'm heading out soon I will still watch part of it and continue tomorrow , I am curious what Tyler might have said when he learned you were finally watching predator 🤔 anyway can't wait to find out what you think of the movie so I'm hitting start . Real quick though have an amazing weekend nat and as always thankyou for a content packed week . Ok I just started the intro and you're telling us about how Tyler reacted lol that's amazing 😀

Daniel Casillas

You need to watch Prey it’s really good

REDR58

Cheesy?? This is an example of a near-perfect action movie.

Curaitis

Hopefully you will watch Predator 2 and Prey cause they are both really good sci-fi action Movies and especially Prey was a pleasant surprise when it came out. Predator 2: Great Sequel with some new background lore about the Yautjas (Predator Species), great Action and cool cast. Prey: Cool Setting, nice visuals and action. I really liked Amber Midthunder as the female Lead although i have to say she is a big misscast but thats part of a bigger problem the movie had with displaying nearly all characters in the movie and not her fault at all. Hope you will find the time to react to both of them but if not maybe atleast Prey.

LightsCameraJake

Nat is a film expert she looks at films from a acting and film perspective and not a artistic one, which is why she is so harsh on films. She will absolutely destroy everybodies fav movies and make you feel bad for even liking it by pointing out all the BS 😂😂😂

Essero Eson

The face camo was intentionally kept light, and thus ineffective, so the audience could tell the soldiers apart. Real face camo is done to break up the features so that it doesn't look like a face and that would make it hard for the audience to tell who is who on screen.

Choof

To clear up some things. The Predator is a trophy hunter, it only wants worthy opponents, it takes their skulls as his reward. By the end he realizes Arnold is a very worthy foe and he chose to honor him with a fair hand to hand fight. The bomb was that so an alien race can't get ahold of his body and technology.

Andy Jordan

Predator was directed by John McTiernan, who also directed Die Hard not long after this, and it was a great precursor to Die Hard, because both are critical riffs on action films, especially those of the time, including previous ones starring Schwarzenegger, such as Commando. Like John McClane was the first action hero who could get hurt and display vulnerability, Predator was the first action film of the '80s where the action heroes' guns, machismo and one-liners were completely useless, and the bulk of the movie plays like a horror film, taking out the musclebound jocks one by one and forcing Dutch to use his brains to defeat the Predator instead of his brawn, where Dutch is the "final girl", so to speak. While some of the special effects didn't age very well, it is, in the vein of Starship Troopers, a deceptively smart satire on the genre it inhabits.

Mastervodo

To add my 2 cents: Predator 2 is more of the same in an urban setting, with Danny Glover and everyone's favorite Alien castmember: Bill Paxton! (Game over man, game over!) And, it gives you more "lore" about the Yautjas. Prey is the most RECENT Predator movie, and is a solid action movie that has pretty much the Predator and no other link to any of the other movies, so you don't need to know anything from the rest of the series. For your next Arnold movie, how about True Lies!? Has a GREAT cast, and while not a complete parody of spy/action movies, it definitely pokes fun at them in a way, Natalie, that I think you, especially, would appreciate! Alien vs. Predator would TOTALLY be in the bad movie punishment watching list! But, it would be fun for you to watch anyway! I am glad you enjoyed this movie, Nat, as I'm sure everyone who has been pushing for it is!

Mastervodo

The Predator is on safari - and that spaceship at the beginning would have picked him up again when he was done. He wasn't stranded on Earth. He be on vacation.

Logan Kerlee

Predator 2 is weak in my book - but Prey is worth a watch.

Abraham

Prey is more than worth a watch. Gotta watch it in Comanche language.

Logan Kerlee

Alien and Predator initially were NOT connected but fans brought them together. This movie is NOT scary! It's an action packed fun movie. I loved this as a kid. I enjoyed Terminator far more but this was a treat to watch growing up. The music alone in this such a blast! Initially I'm STOKED that you're vibing with the music! Really makes me smile. :) It does a great job of setting the mood of the movie! Your enthusiasm is really nice to see with this one! :) Huge props to the dude who chose the music for this! HAHAHAHA, throw that continuity out the window! It flat isn't important here! :P hahahahaha, loved your initial "WHA?!" when the camera went into the Predator's point of view. lol, yeah, these guys do not fuck around. If you give them a reason to merc you - RIP. The sneaky bit before the action scene is really great, I feel. Shows that pure shooty shooty isn't always the answer. While I'm with you on the mystery should remain - with this movie it isn't such a big deal. As someone that watched this years and years ago I was still floored when I first saw the Predator. It didn't give a location, no. This is somewhere in South America, though. They know that she didn't kill it. There's no way she could kill it. That character, Mac was BIlly's friend - that's why he took it so hard. That's why he went ahead and empties his Billy's entire magazine into the jungle. hahaha, I never thought of it that way! When the other dude died there wasn't any ceremony to it. lmao, New York, you say? Just you wait for the sequel! hahaha, wow. I don't recommend it, but that is where it takes place. Mac really is a good dude. As for Alien vs Predator, growing up I was always a Predator fan. After playing the AVP games though, Alien has the upper hand with their vision modes as well as the acidic blood. YOU DIDN'T REACT TO THE ICONIC LINE! xD "If it bleeds, we can kill it." lmao, that line has always been a great one for this movie. That's right, only men. The Predator hunts valuable prey that they consider strong and worthy. If the women had weapons on them they'd of also been hunted. "RUN, GO, GET TO DA CHOPPAH!" lol, this isn't ew yet! Just you wait 'til you see it's face! :P The thing about Predators is they come prepared. They plan their hunts. Aliens on the other hand just go for it because they're naturally capable of killing most anything. If a Predator was loaded up with the right tech/equipment for an Alien hunt though - things would go very differently. hahahaha, wow! This movie inspired many play sessions for me as a kid with my action figures! I had SO MANY GI Joes and other action figures as a boy. I remember running scenarios where Predator was up against the soldiers. :) Fun memories! Nah - the Predator was just after trophies. That's how it's species works. They go on hunts for their prey and gather trophies to bring back. This Predator was the best of the bunch. If you didn't enjoy this you won't enjoy any of the others. I enjoyed the action in this, I'm not going to lie about that. Is it over the top? Absolutely! It's a lot of fun though and that's why I like it so much.

Andy Jordan

True Lies is a good one, for sure. I would also add Total Recall to the list, which for me is his best straight action film (apart from T2), and also his most intelligent one. I'm also a big Kindergarten Cop fan, and Maggie is so underappreciated: no action, no comedy, just Arnie carrying a film with straight drama.

Mastervodo

I would go for Total Recall too.

Mike Hell

Such a fun and cheesy action movie! I don't think you need to see P2 or Predators. And definitely not The Predator; that one was just awful. But PREY would be a good one, and I think a lot of people would like that, too. It was pretty popular a few years ago when it came out on Hulu.

Sean

Predators are trophy hunters with a code of conduct. The final mano-y-predator fight was to even the playing field for honorable combat (or something like that). It wasn't eating them or reproducing or anything; it just wanted the skulls for trophies.

Jeff K.

So I know a lot of folks have been hoping you'll watch Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang (I'm one of them): the screenwriter for that movie -- as well as Lethal Weapon movies and a bunch of others -- is one of Arnold's crew in this film. Shane Black (Hawkins) is the writer, who I'm guessing you're at least somewhat familiar with because he's just an iconic '80s and '90s screenwriter. He also wrote The Nice Guys, with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling, which if you haven't seen you absolutely should because it is *brilliant*. (He also wrote Iron Man 3.) Speaking of the cast: it remains bonkers that two people in this movie became US governors.

Tiger Chu

One of my all time favourites but I still can't get over the end credits being like a 80s 90s sit-com intro. Always cracks me up

Jeff K.

I can’t remember what opening they used, but I saw someone cut together the end credits with a sitcom opening theme (Full House I wanna say?) and it remains one of the best things that’s ever been on YouTube.

Tiger Chu

Oh that sounds amazing. "EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK"

Jeff K.

I just looked, and there’s definitely one on YouTube with the Full House theme. It’s amazing.

Jeff K.

Also: on the two governors thing, that’s not counting Sonny Landham (Billy), who ran for office but didn’t win. He was such a wild, crazy dude that when he made this movie the production company had to hire a security detail… not to protect him, but to keep him from brawling. He was apparently wildly unpredictable and always looking for trouble.

Jason Dolan

Bravo to Nat for predicting who would die first - she nailed them both

Jeff K.

Good old Bill Paxton: the only man whose been killed by a Xenomorph, a Predator, *and* a Terminator.

Erik Stevenson

Joining the (I assume chorus of folks) asking you to watch Prey now that you've seen Predator.

Jeff K.

Oh! And the guy who is in the suit as the Predator, Kevin Peter Hall, also played Harry in Harry and the Hendersons. The Predator was originally supposed to be played by Jean-Claude Van Damme (there are even photos of him in the costume). Also… I knew about the Jim Hopper connection in this movie (the Duffers are very intentional about their ‘80s references), but I only just now realized this movie might also be where they got the name for their fictional Indiana town, given Shane Black’s character is named Hawkins.

Dooly

Prey is hilarious

Jason Dolan

This reaction has become a drinking game. Every time Nat says p*ssy, take a shot 🤣

Diiirk706

Don't the States have this on D+ yet??? ''Max'' sucks Donkey Dick....'specially for syncing, etc... Also, as an aside, just as an ''just as''; Nat reeeeeally should be pirating Shit now, even if she ain't par of SAG....just out of solidarity/decency, y'know /shrug

Darryl Low

Kevin Peter Hall also played the choppa pilot at the end 😊

Mike Hell

SAG-AFTRA/WGA have gone on record multiple times saying they don't want people to "boycott" services just yet. I'm not sure why, but that's their current standpoint. If you want to support them, there's fund set up for them that you can send money to.

Baggie Mark

Hi Nat, I think you need to watch First Blood starring Sylvester Stallone. I know its a Rambo movie but First Blood actually had a story which is more than the other Rambo movies..

Baggie Mark

Oh and I love your reaction to the score, it was more entertaining than the movie lol

Diiirk706

IK. And I myself have contributed to the fund a few times now (though pretty meagerly tbh) solidarity with fellow writers even frm here in Ontario, but I'd still and have boycott/boycotted anyway /shrug

Dooly

Just hope it ends up on a poll in which it will have no chance of winning.

Scott Ward

The predator is like an alien sports hunter using humans as it's big game. I think it was intrigued by Dutch's posse so didn't wack them straight away. It stripped down and went toe to toe with Dutch at the end coz he won it's respect. When it said "What the hell are YOU?!" it wasn't just mimicking him it was surprised at being bested, even though it passed up on opportunities to just blast him with some killer punches. It new it'd fucked up but had one last trick up it's sleeve!

Scott Ward

By the way I love your stuff! It's like getting to watch a film with Alanis Morissette!

Patrick Egan

Anyone else have sync issues with this one? It seems like Nat's reaction is running ahead of the blurred movie PiP. No matter what I try, I can't keep her reaction in sync with my copy of the movie :(

djKENTO

Don’t worry about the video of the reaction. The audio is in time with basically any version you watch. The video portion plays a little too fast. But the audio stays sync’d. I noticed the video went out of sync, and resync’d that only to find what she was saying was no delayed from the actual movie.

djKENTO

So about John McTiernan’s criminal history. The guy was making a remake to a classic 70s B-Movie called Rollerball. The producer, Roven, was basically talking a lot of shit behind the scenes, hurting the production because it wasn’t going the way he wanted. Essentially he wanted friendly fluff that’s PG-13 but that’s not why you hire the guy who made Die Hard to make your movie. So McTiernan hired this private eye who was very famous to spy on Roven and tap his phone to get more dirt on him. The PI got busted and basically started spilling all this info on everyone who ever hired him to do this kinda stuff and McTiernan got hit pretty hard. He lied to the FBI and then plead guilty to lying… but then tried to take back his guilty plea. It was a mess. It ruined his career and he hasn’t made a film in 20 years as a result.

Jason Dolan

Predator 2 and Prey are definitely worth watching and for a bad movie reaction can watch the first Alien vs Predator movie which is not really canon

Greg S.

Her reaction definitely got ahead of the PiP. I was able to sync with her reaction to specific scenes and just ignored the PiP/timecode.

Steve Mercier

It mimicked the characters much the same way that human hunters use bird calls to hunt certain types of birds. It used camouflage the same way that human hunters use camouflage against their prey. It used high tech weaponry much the same that we do (comparatively) when hunting animals. It collected trophies the same way many human hunters mount deer heads on their walls. Hence, predator. And Arnold was, for the Predator, the ultimate prey; so, it dropped its gadgetry for a one-on-one fight.

Diiirk706

Need to watch Predator 2 now. Then Prey.

Roook

Definitely watch Prey. I was never the biggest fan of Predator but Prey was one of the best action films I watched last year. Should have had a theatrical release. It has beautifully shot scenery of the Canadian wilderness. It's also available dubbed in the native Comanche by the actors.

Snacky Munchies

agree Predator 2 and Prey are the only ones you need to watch after seeing this. Pray is a must watch.

Wild_Lee_Coyote

I think Prey is a better movie then Predator and has a cleaner story. It is defiantly worth a reaction. Predator 2 has more backstory and some great actors but is along the same lines as Predator. The rest are really only worth watching if you want to be a completionist. Definitely watch Prey though.

Frankie Crews

Another vote for Prey now that you've seen this one. You NEED to see it

Chris Gentry

I'll add another vote for Prey. It's an excellent movie.

David Sumner

And Die Hard 3 which is almost as good as the first Die Hard.

Dooly

Such a good comedic film 👌

Randy Torres

I dont think you are synced up with your onscreen video

Brent giesbrecht

As many here have already said, the movie Prey is pretty darn good. I think alien vs predator 1 is better than people give it credit for if only for some kick ass scenes. On the comments about doing some bad movies, I would love the full reactions on your patreon instead of just a quick cut on your second channel just because watching bad stuff with you would be fun, especially after avatar the last airbender was so much fun to watch you cringe over.

Ben Wheeler

Have you ever read “The Most Dangerous Game”… Each movie adds some cool lore to the Predator (or Alien) so I enjoy AvP strictly for the mashup and to see how each matches up to the other’s weaponry. But AvP 2: Requiem most definitely does NOT exist and you should avoid watching said movie that does NOT exist at all costs

Tim D.

Essentially the predator is a trophy hunter on safari. (The same way men went on safaris in Africa during the early 20th century and hunted lions - it is keeping the skulls just like hunters who mount the heads of the animals they killed on their walls). The premise of the movie is simple ~ it's a safari, only instead of humans being the hunters, they are instead the prey. Only coming during the hottest years is probably more to do with the environment of their home planet (never touched upon anywhere in the franchise). Predator 2 takes place during a major heat wave in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, Schwarzenegger chose not to continue in this franchise. Alien versus Predator came about because of the popularity of combination sequels at the time (Freddy versus Jason, etcetera). They're okay..... this franchise is more along the lines of the Friday the 13th franchise..... just keep turning out sequels to make money, not because of any really interesting stories to tell. Prey was a good premise, but I didn't care much for its execution, either. It seemed more about trying to cash in on Billy's popularity by having the primary cast be a Native American tribe in the 1800's ~ with a feminist take thrown in to try and pull women into the audience. I think Predators may have done the best spin on the premise, though some of the plot takes you out of the storyline and kind of ruins an otherwise good movie. This movie was strictly an 80's Schwarzenegger action movie. I was 15-1/2 years old when this movie came out, and teenage boys were the primary target audience of this movie. The level of the humor should make that quite obvious. And yes, I know it's rated R ~ but in the 1980's, no one cared whether you were 17 years or older. Hand them cash, they hand you a ticket, and everyone's happy. It was an $18-million budget that pulled in $98-million at the box office. A typical 80's summer blockbuster, when the kids had all just gotten out of school and had nothing better to do while their parents were at work. ~Laughs~

simon.shoots

Now ya gotta see prey, surprisingly well made!

matthew h

Predator 2 is pretty ok, very different from this one but gives you more insight into the predators. Prey (2022) is really good. It stands on its own so you don't need to watch the whole franchise to enjoy it.

Ranger Maverick

Nat, now that you have seen both Predator and Terminator, check out this short video that outlines a fun fan theory that Dutch from Predator is the soldier that eventually becomes the physical and tactical model that Cyberdyne Systems programmed into Skynet to use for the T-800 Terminator. https://youtu.be/YGPl1mzOYFM

Christopher Mcconnell

I'm seeing Stranger things in everything after watching your run through of that. A character named Jim Hopper and a character named Hawkins in this, also randomly watched your Diehard video before this one which made for a fun Mctiernan double feature and the russian terminator in season three quotes Diehard. "you wont kill me, your are police, you have rules."

Baldomero Samaro

Definitely watch Predator 2 and Prey. Prey is really good

LightsCameraJake

Im surprised that nobody catches these things lol

LightsCameraJake

Yeah, I think it's important that people don't mistake this strike and also boycott, that's what we don't want. This is a strike with writers deserving more money. If people boycott and sales go down, it will only hurt the strike and the objective of it. So to the average consumer and the YouTube content creators not under contract, please do keep making content and watching these movies that people worked hard on, LEGALLY.

LightsCameraJake

A fun little fact. The same costume designer who made The Predator, Stan Winston, made The Terminator costume and exoskeleton, AND designed the practical effects dinosaurs in Jurassic Park.

Jeff K.

I read Stan Winston, but I'm sure you meant to type "the GOAT" there.

Eric Trinidad

Prey is a must see. Predator 2 is good for meat locker scene and the ending.

Jason Gillman

I don’t think Predator 2 will be any more enjoyable than the first Predator for you to be honest, but Prey is fantastic and 100% worth watching. Anyway some others have mentioned Shane Black (the pussy joke guy). He wrote and directed Iron Man 3, and actually wrote and directed the fourth main Predator movie. And I’m hoping you’ll give Robocop another chance in a poll someday, I think a lot of people will vote for it with Predator not in the same poll.

Athenor

Hi Nat, tour opening was ok but that chair swivel was immaculate. Glad you liked the movie I wouldn't say the rest are worth watching. The second is alright and at least you learn a little more, the predators are hunter warriors and they go to earth to hunt like a rite of passage (hence the skull trophy. But wouldn't recommend any past 2 you could watch aliens vs predators. Honestly I don't remember what happens at all just disappointment.

Squ33ky

Honestly. I agree with a few people. "PREY " on hulu is the 2nd best Predator film. I'd say go with that one if you plan on one other. It's very good actually compared to any of the othets

Thomas Richter

Predator 2 is also really fun to watch! But the only Alien vs Predator stuff that's any good are the video Games. You can choose to be a badass invisible predator hunting aliens and humans, you choose to be a scary Alien that can climb and run on walls and ceilings, or a boring human.

REDR58

For someone in the film industry, it seems odd that elements like character lighting for dramatic effect is lost on her.

REDR58

It's entirely self-evident from watching the movie. That someone needs to be hand-held to get this is pretty disappointing.

LightsCameraJake

Oh i was being sarcastic when I said "film expert" I guess the way I typed it out didnt make it sound as such xD

UngawdlyJish

I'm a fan of the franchise. I would like to see you watch more. Predator 2 is fun if you want more of that late 80's cheese. Predators (2010) with Adrien Brody was surprisingly good, I think. Prey (2022) on Hulu is way better than it had any right being. The Alien Vs Predator movie is kinda in that so bad its good category. I'd recommend the first one for like a cheesy bad Halloween movie to get drunk and watch. But totally skippable. If you stop here, that's fine too. Glad you had fun! :)

Dioskur

Sometimes it shows that if you decided to hate something in advance, you concentrate so much on finding flaws, that you miss everything that makes it good. Imagine reacting to Abraham Lincoln giving one of his great speeches and at the middle of it: "aw ma gawd whats with the beard? Hahaha, sooo cheesy, hahaha, yall I wanna like it but cammawn the BEARD!" And afterwards "yah not gonna lie I felt all the talking was just not my style, but yah Its fun for those who like it! I like there's entertainment even for those people!"

PureGonzo

Did you… did you really just compare Predator to an Abraham Lincoln speech? 😂

Keith Jacobsen

Screw watching Predator sequels, watch Karate Kid instead. You'll be glad you did.

YannickWega

I would like you to watch the second, third and prey

Dioskur

Yes I did. And why wouldn't I? Comparing two things isn't the same as saying they are equal. My point was to say, that nothing is perfect, If you try real hard you can find a flaw in anything and focus on that flaw until you can't see the good parts.

Steve J

From here you can skip directly to Prey, IMO it's the best of all the Predator movies other than this one, which is crazy because it clearly has 1/10 the budget of the others.

Matt C.

I think Predator 2 is OK. And I enjoy all the Ripley Alien movies, even if they get progressively worse. AvP is pretty awful, and the Alien origin is directly contradicted by Prometheus, so I don’t know if they even count as part of the franchise.

Brian

You should absolutely check out Prey. It serves as a prequel, so no need to have seen the others. Plus it features an intelligent and capable female protagonist. Overall it exchanges the 80s camp for a legitimately well made action film.

PureGonzo

Lol you clearly chose to make that ridiculous comparison for a reason. You tried to make the point that Natalie not being a fan of Predator is the same thing as her not being a fan of “a great Abraham Lincoln speech.” Did you ever stop to consider the fact that different people simply have different taste in movies? I love Predator as well, but it’s damn sure not some Oscar-worthy masterpiece of a film, and we both know that.

dooyaunastan

Predator 2 isn't worth it, Predators is fun but absurd, The Predator is god-awful with a few fun moments, Prey is the sequel/prequel Predator deserved off the rip. We don't talk about AvP. No one talks about that.

Noctis

Skip Predator 2, its horrible. I think if you are going to check out any of the sequels, it has to be Predators and most definitely need to watch Prey, it was so well done and highly rated.

Jacob King

Prey, is the predator movie to watch. It elevates the concept and fills in some of Billy’s background (as you recognised he was the most interesting character). The predators don’t eat people, they hunt the toughest creatures in the galaxy to prove their own superiority which is why Alien vs Predator is such a fun concept even if it fails every time. Shane Black, the guy who died first, directed two near perfect movies, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Nice Guys, and wrote the screenplay for The Long Kiss Goodnight which is the ultimate cheesy 90s action movie. As you seem to be working through the canon of 80s sci-fi action movies I’d love to see “They Live” on a poll.

Dioskur

I didn't say that and I wont be tricked into trying to defend that absurd point. Try to troll someone else.

LightsCameraJake

Nobody should be shocked though, nat is also somebody who even thought Spideman No Way Home was trash. She is a reactor who will stop at nothing to find flaws in everybodies favorite films lol

LJ Mickey

Prey is the best predator movie after first one so that would be one to watch.

Eric Wallace

You gotta watch "Prey." I'd almost guarantee you'll yell "yass bitch!" At least once

rayman

no Predator is not eating them, no it doesn't lay eggs lmao, it's hunting purely for sport. That's why it stalks its prey and kills them one by one. That's also why it put down the weapons when it saw Arnold was unarmed, it wants to hunt and kill for sport. It wanted to beat him 1v1. And it's a whole intelligent species with technology, why would it need to lay eggs like Alien

TreehouseOfJorge

Like most everyone else is saying, "Prey" (2022, available free on Hulu) is the sequel/prequel worthy of your time, Nat. It basically takes away what you'd consider 80s cheese and is way more fun than you'd expect it to be!

Matt_D_370z

You should most definitely watch "Prey." It seems that most fans and critics say it's the 2nd best Predator movie, after "Predator." But, in my opinion, it's better than "Predator."

Natalie Gold

Omg never caught the Stranger Things connection! That's so cool!

FatLittleButterfly

If they were in actual camo, we won't get the money's worth having them in the movie xD It would cover all of their face! Predators just like hunting for sport. Like how some people like hunting big games, they see everything else as game.

My Toasty Toast

I think the latest one, “Prey” is the only one worth watching

Terence Bradshaw

This movie actually features two future state governors. Arnold, of course, but tobacco guy is Jesse Ventura, former pro wrestler who went on to be governor of Minnesota.

kenneth

IDK.. I thought No Way Home wasn't that good. It wasn't terrible, but Into the Spider Verse did it better. Also she definitely did not say it was trash.

Ranger Maverick

As many others have said, you should at least watch Prey. The various Predator based movies vary wildly in quality. Some have decent effects and action but terrible scripts, some have decent writing but awful cinematography and cgi, none ever really seem to strike a good balance of ingredients. But Prey is the best, and most recent sequel in the series, with a fairly good expansion of the Predator storyline and lore, good casting, pretty good dialogue (mostly), and some really well done action sequences. It does present a touch of the original 80's action flick cheese at times, but it's all done in a likeable way. And instead of a post-credit scene, they work in a short post-movie scene directly in the end credit animations, which is actually kind of a fun touch. PS: The second Predator movie, Predator 2 with Danny Glover, Bill Paxton, and Gary Busey is notoriously bad, so bad that it's one of those films that people love to watch it and revel in the awfulness, it's kinda reaching cult classic status.

The most recent Predator movie, titled Prey, is very much worth watching, and it’s actually a prequel so you don’t need to watch any of the other Predator movies.

What does cheesy mean?

Jonathan D

No she didnt. She said Blain would die first. Which was incorrect. The other guy died first.

Now that you've seen it, you can have a chuckle at Predator: The Musical

For someone so confident in her opinions Nat sure can miss the obvious sometimes.

These movies are what they are. Some are better than others, almost all of them are fun to watch (with the exception of "The Predator"). Shame you won't be reacting to more of this universe but as others have said, Prey is definitely worth a look.

NobleSon32

You should definitely watch Alien Vs Predator now. Just the first one tho.

You might want to check out Prey, but skip the rest.

Jamie Moran

Loved this blind reaction :) You should check out Prey. It puts an amazing spin on the franchise and is definitely worth watching. Alien vs Predator is a fun spectacle which is worth the watch if you get time.

Stephen Smith

You HAVE to watch ‘Prey’. It’s one of the best movies the year it came out.
