Not an easy poll, all of them deserve a reaction, may the best wins hahahaha

booger

nahhh yall have to pick hacksaw

Martin7777

MEL GIBSON IS A FAMOUS ANTISEMITE BOO (No judgement toward any fans of his work)

Darryl Low

Happy Wednesday Nat. Glad you managed to make it home safely after your weekend adventure 😊 Going to stick with the home team and go with Braveheart again. Have a great day Nat 💛

TheDude

It has to be Hacksaw Ridge. The historical inaccuracies of Braveheart cannot be overlooked. Just my opinion.

fanofactionflicks

Dang "Last of the Mohicans" and "Dances with Wolves" in the same poll, a tough decision.

ultraviolet

i love u nat and your reactions but GOD i hate your movie choices. every poll it’s some white 90’s movies i’ve never even heard of. a little more diversity in movies would be appreciated (yes i’ve heard of brave heart and dances with wolves i don’t just mean this poll)

Walter Lopez

Hacksaw Ridge and Braveheart include Mel Gibson and they are both winning. Guess it's a double feature now, Nat. 😁 Watch them both at the same time, I dare You!

Harry Reece

Hmmm this is like Sophie’s Choice (although haven’t seen Hacksaw…). Also can’t believe Nat hasn’t seen any of them. Have to go wiiiiiiith….

Chris H

You've never heard of Braveheart? Or Dances with Wolves? Maybe you should take this opportunity to diversify a bit?

Chris H

I keep getting short clips of Hacksaw Ridge, damn Andrew Garfield is a good actor.

Andrew Zachman

I have to go with Dances with Wolves, but they are all great movies.

Alan Felicia

WOW! Talk about Old School! LOL! Its either Braveheart or Mohicans, need to flip a coin....

ultraviolet

yes of course i’ve heard of brave heart and dances with wolves. i wasn’t just referring to this poll in particular. but that wouldn’t diversify anything she’s been watching the same type of movies a lot lately. i’m not hating on her or anything like i said i love her but i can’t ever even vote bc i just feel like it’s always in the same boat everytime

Crash Raynor

Dances with Wolves is the best movie there, a touch of humor that the others lack...plus Braveheart is a longggg 3 hours

Walter Lopez

Why are you hating on something that you never heard of. Besides, there are a lot of great movies with white people, it's not racist... Actually it is, because back in the day, you know Hollywood definitely went out of their way to not include any diversity. But it's okay, Nat will get to those movies eventually.😁

Nathan Swapp

I love braveheart but don't treat it like a history lesson. It's infamous for its terrible historical accuracy. Treat it more like a fantasy movie like Lord of the Rings.

Adam Doyle

These are Oscar winners, and yes the award committees were/are notorious for some of their choices and exclusions, these are still well-made, well-told stories (despite historical inaccuracies) that deserve a watch. What other movies do you recommend? It is great to have as many options as possible!

ultraviolet

i said i’m not hating i literally said that. stating an opinion is not hate. i said she choices the same type of movies. and yes i agree it is a little discriminatory i mean she only done like 3 movies with a predominantly poc cast (moonlight, black panther, and encanto) and those were bc they were popular things to react to im just saying

Eric Brown

Braveheart, Last of the Mohicans, and Dances with Wolves are all 90's EPICS - meaning the scope and scale of the filmmaking is very large (similar to Gladiator) - Braveheart and Dances with Wolves won Best Picture at the Oscar so these aren't movies that'll be lost to time - while the Mel Gibson of Hacksaw Ridge and Braveheart isn't my favorite for personal reasons - he's a very good director and they are very good movies. That being said I'd love to see some Spike Lee on the stream (Do the right thing, Black Klansman, He Got Game, Inside Man, 25th Hour) all very solid movies to react to.

ultraviolet

omg before everyone comes for me jesus christ. i don’t hate any of these movie’s specifically. i just feel like nat always caters to one part of her audience or chooses four movies that kind of feel the exact same for the white 30+ audience

Aaron Davies

Like what films for instance? Please give good examples, you may influence others to give some of your choices a go

SoFreshSoGreen

I'm surprised Last of the Mohicans is low on the poll, it is such an incredible movie, and one I think Nat would love.

Daniel McGuinness

Scottish so I have to vote for braveheart, even tho it’s inaccurate, and Mel Gibson… but hey!

Dioskur

errrmmm two of these movies are predominantly native americans and the third one has a known antisemite as the lead actor, and those are rarely featured as well. I don't see your point.

Jeff K.

Was hoping for Last of the Mohicans. I think it’s the best movie on this poll (and as much as I respect Gibson’s work, I have zero respect for him as a human being so I was hoping neither of his films would win, but ah well.)

Troy

I love all of these movies. Gotta go with Braveheart.

ultraviolet

i don’t just mean movies shows too but sound of metal, abbott elementary, vox machina, the irishman, yasuke, ANY ANIME EVER, lovecraft country, succession, missing, the woman king, breaking bad, better call saul, invincible, fences, girl interrupted, prisoners, they cloned tyrone i could go on and on

ultraviolet

are responding to MY comment bc if h are i don’t get what your saying or what that has to do with anything

Rime Pendragon

For the love of god NOT Braveheart.. That movie is an offense to everything Scottish.

Samuel Bruce

One of these days Last of the Mohicans will win lol, easily one of the best soundtracks of all time.

Kelvin

See the saw I say

ultraviolet

also waves, all the bright places, stand by me, all quiet on the western front, really love,

Athenor

Lol every time I click on a poll I pick in the bottom two, guess I just love an underdog.

BabyJDizzle

Why is everyone not voting for HR???

Danishprince

Hacksaw Ridge is the only one of these I find truly great!

Jeff K.

That score alone makes it worth a watch. It’s just gorgeous.

Danishprince

1. She doesn't do anime at all because there's a bigger risk regarding copyright issues which she doesn't wanna risk so those are out. 2. The reason she doesn't really do more PoC movies are because they do extremely poorly. This is her job so one of the factors that has to be considered when picking things to watch are whether or not it will attract an audience and those movies unfortunately just doesn't. Has nothing to do with discrimination

Jeff K.

Agreed. No shade to fans of his work. He's a great actor and a great director. He's just also a great bigot, too, which makes it hard for me to rewatch his films at this point. But other people are better at separating art from artist, and I am fine with that. I love the movie The Pianist, for example, even if Roman Polanski is a giant, festering piece of shit.

Jeff K.

I have not seen Hacksaw Ridge, but agreed about Garfield. He's one of our very best young actors. Just so good in everything he does.

LightsCameraJake

Correct me if im wrong but Nat doesnt watch war movies much yeah? I think the last one of this caliber was Saving Private Ryan a couple years back? Anywho. of course I'll vote Hacksaw Ridge, its my opinion one of the best true stories out there to come out within this last decade, and one of Andrew Garfields best movies. The story this movie is about was so unlebelivable that the writers had to "dumb down" what actually happened because people might not of believed it actually happened and the movie only shows snippets of it. I hope it wins over Braveheart because that movie does not tell the true story of those events.

Darryl Low

Looks like we're in for some Mel-odrama 😉

tezster

All of the above

Annie519

It’s my favorite war movie!! Several underrated!!

Annie519

I like it but I just find it long & it drags after a while for me

Ian

Not a fan of war movies or series tbh that's why I always let out a groan when band of brothers is constantly recommended so any of the three that aren't hacksaw ridge would be good 👍

Brian

How am I supposed to vote on these. They are all so good.

PaulieXP

Dammit, was hoping that Braveheart wouldn’t do so well. Don’t get me wrong it’s a fine movie and I loved it as a kid, until I learned how horribly historically inaccurate it is. It’s more fantasy than reality

Jason Dolan

I’m always surprised when Hacksaw wins these polls. It is probably the weakest of these movies. Still good though and maybe recency bias and more younger people have seen it because of Garfield.

Danishprince

I'm completely opposite. I enjoy all of them but Imo Hacksaw is by far the strongest of these when it comes to story, performance and general enjoyment

Alvin Everett

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Barbie

Essero Eson

I agree. I am of the opinion that there are no bad choices on this list, but as a true story, Hacksaw Ridge feels more impactful for a video reaction.

ultraviolet

her moonlight reaction has 42 thousand, encanto has 169 thousand and turning red 200. the normies reacted to “friday” it has 200,000 almost 300 same the reel rejects. pink popcast reacted to “white chicks” got 90,000 i can keep going. duh of course i get that part of it but that’s not an excuse if plenty of people have done it and it’s done well. she’s only done 3 movies with poc cast and that was 2 years ago she hasn’t even TRIED since.

booger

😶

ultraviolet

also when did she explicitly say that, that’s why she doesn’t do anime. 80% of reactors do anime im just saying i’m not even a web or anything i haven’t even watched 90% of anime but still if they can make it work why can’t she

Ahmad Zain

next time put Tick Tick Boom you'll love it

Danishprince

She has mentioned that multiple times, latest were just a few weeks ago in one of the Patreon posts

Victor Chemtob

I think you'd love escape room 1 and 2 🤭 they're very suspenseful and kinda mind f*cky 😇

Abraham

Come on guys show some love for Dances

Cody Steele

Doubling the Mel Gibson works, huh? Imma go Braveheart! I love the score and setting.

Richard Maurer

I was going to vote Dances With Wolves, but since it obviously has no chance I went with Hacksaw Ridge, my second pick.

Alex Le

My issue with Hacksaw Ridge is that it falsifies history so much to create a bigger narrative of discrimination that it becomes so historically inauthentic and almost cartoonish. In reality discrimination isn't so overt and blatant without any meaning (still not as bad as Imitation Game) other historical movies like Hidden Figures does a much better job at showing the day to day nuances of discrimination while also still being fairly true to the real life events.

History Nuggets

It perplexes me that Hacksaw Ridge and Braveheart are the two highest. Hacksaw Ridge was good but I had a hard time identifying with the lead, and Braveheart is very, very long and is ahistorical to the point of being distracting. Dances with Wolves and especially Last of the Mohicans are two of the best epics ever filmed. You deserve to see both.

jamie jones

Discrimination wasnt overt and blatant during WW2?

Jason Dolan

I think I just grew up with the other three so I have more sentimental connection. These are the definition movies for Costner and Gibson while Mohicans is such an incredible collaboration between Mann and DDL.

David Collins

I totally agree. Last of the Mohicans is one of my all time favorite movies, it does justice to the book, a rare feat, and the book was iconic.

ultraviolet

ok i can see that but what about literally anything else i said?

Logan Kerlee

Oh wow, this is close ya'll! I voted for Braveheart - I'm a huge fan of the movie. I also enjoy Hacksaw Ridge, so I won't feel disappointed if that keeps ahead. Love this community. :)

Chris Moon

I think it only won Best Editing but still a great movie

Jacob King

I feel like Legends of the Fall should be on this list, maybe? I’m voting for Last of the Mohicans mostly because I’ve never seen it.

Matthew

One day, The Last of the Mohicans will win.

Spencer

It's called Hollywood my friend! Things tend to be dramatized.

Spencer

Don't you dare speak about my boy Garfield like that xD

Spencer

I think you got some bad info haha. Moonlight and La La Land were the two films that swept the Oscars that year!

Jacob King

Glad someone said it, also anti-Black racism and intimate partner violence. I’m not always consistent where I personally draw the art/artist line so I don’t expect other people to be but, yeesh. I’m also not a fan of his movies so there’s that.

Martin7777

For me watching a movie is entering a world shaped by the writer’s and director’s worldview. I don’t want to spend time in a world where bad things are good. I can’t trust what the story is trying to make me feel if I know the person telling the story is at best, ignorant, and at worst cruel/evil.

Alex Le

Dramatization is fine if it's still in the spirit of the events it's portraying. Blatantly changing or fabricating events in favour of an author's narrative that is counter or demeaning to the actual events is a bastardization.

Ernesto

I only voted for Hacksaw Ridge because I confused it with Heartbreak Ridge

Martin7777

What about Mel gibsons personal views on Jewish people and minorities?

Chen

Hacksaw Ridge is my top 5 movie, only saw it once and it effected me so much before I realize it. Looking forward to your reaction!

Martin7777

Personally it’s because Mel Gibsons vocally HATES Jewish people

Jacques De Lajudie

Actually, Dance with the wolves and Last of the Mohicans are not specially well historically-grounded films for many reasons. I would say though that in regard of adaptating the source material, Last of the Mohicans is probably greater, but I really think that all of these 4 films should be watched...^^

Syrelis

It hasn’t gotten much press, but Nimona on Netflix is pretty incredible. Story, music, animation, all top tier.

BabyJDizzle

Ok but the movie is still a 10 out of 10

Danishprince

You're not really saying anything though. You don't like the options she does for movies, you're entitled to your opinion and that's okay. She picks movies that gets requested a lot, that are generally speaking popular and movies she finds interesting and those apparantly doesn't appeal to you. The fact is that movies of the genres you speak just doesn't perform well on the channel so they're are less likely to get picked. Encanto and Turning Red are both popular animated movies that obviously did well but take a look at the views for movies like Moonlight at 42.000 which is the lowest amount of views for any of her reactions and 42 at 52.000 views and thus the second worst performing movie reaction. The fact that other channels has watched a different variety of movies that has done well doesn't change anything for this channel.

phillip giroux

Out of left field series suggestion, Due South from the 90s. It's available on YouTube for free and just a sweet buddy cop show that grows on you.

dieselbeast

Baby Driver beat out Scarface and The Godfather in this patreon lol after that i gave up on expecting my fellow patrons picking actual masterpieces, I just go with whatever no longer expecting Nat to react to those two (even tho they woud do great numbers on YT) BD beating out those two movies was a crime lol

Max Yoder

Dood this is a hard one...

Sweetish_Jeff_26

I’m still stunned that “Goodfellas” lost Best Picture to “Dances With Wolves”.

Sweetish_Jeff_26

Good one! Another one is “Crime Story”. It’s also free on YouTube and only aired for two seasons. If you like movies like “Heat” and “Goodfellas”, this is one you’ll like.

Ben Curran

All of those are good. Braveheart's top for me then Dances with Wolves.

Stephen Lewis

Gunny Highway would approve this message

Tovirus

Have you ever considered watching ‘Das Boot’?
