Iso-Rhythms in Bitwig (Patreon)

In this video, I explained how to create isorhythms in Bitwig Studio using the Poly Grid. The key idea is separating pitch sequences from rhythm triggers so that you can create complex and evolving patterns by controlling when notes advance independently from their pitch content. I showed how to do this using modules like Pitches, Counter, Triggers, and Voice Stacking, and how you can record the output as MIDI for further use.

Main Points:

Used Pitches module to define a sequence of notes (e.g., 5-step pitch sequence).

Introduced Counter module to control pitch progression based on custom trigger rhythms.

Created Isorhythms by triggering pitch steps independently from a regular tempo grid using Triggers.

Showed how to layer multiple isorhythms with different rhythms and octave shifts via Voice Stacking.

Explained how to reverse sequences using Select and Latch modules.

Added complexity with Clock Dividers, Wavetable Oscillators, Blending, and Note Bending.

Demonstrated recording MIDI output from the Poly Grid to use or edit elsewhere in Bitwig.

Let me know if you want a visual breakdown or clarification on any module used!
