I kinda liked GenoPatch a few years earlier. Now they added this.

Sonic Charge just released Phenotype, a free script for Synplant 2 owners that turns text prompts into real synth patches. Type "big fat bass", "chiptune" or "lush ambient pad with reverb" and you get an actual editable patch - not some low-quality rendered audio sample like most AI sound tools. In this video I test Phenotype with basses, pads, drums, choirs, acid lines and even sound effects like rain on a tent.

I show you how re-running a prompt generates variations, why short keyword prompts work better than long descriptions, and where the limits of the simple 2-oscillator FM engine are. I also talk about why this approach is so much better than diffusion-based text-to-audio and why I'd love to see this in other synths.

Whoah, this is a great way to start off an idea. I typed in "Space Whale", hit EXE a coupla times then went into the Manipulate Genes section, tweaked about a bit, lovely, very satisfying and unobstructive workflow. This Plugin and MicroTonic remain firm favourites for me, many moons, many moons...
